I received warm, friendly greetings and caring, yet professional attention from reception to scaling, polishing and dental exam and counseling. Perfect background music. I have been going here for over a year and I absolutely love my dentist Dr. Mogari and the dental hygienist as well. It had been a few years since my last check up so I was worried that I might have a cavity or some other serious issue. Luckily, that wasn’t the case.
I had my silver fillings replaced with white ones and now my smile is better than ever. I just went for my 6 month cleaning and all is good. Sloane at the front desk takes care of coordinating your insurance so all you have to worry about is flossing: o)

Great friendly staff! Easy to make an appointment. My teeth are always cleaned by dental hygienist Van, she has magic hands! My teeth always sparkle and she’s very gentle. Dr. Mogari is very friendly and does great work. Sloane runs the front office and is always friendly and helpful. They gave me a goodie bag on the way out including a box of SHEER WHITE whitening strips! Thanks guys!

I have been putting off my visit to the dentist for over 5 years and I finally mustered up the courage to go. I started off with a deep cleaning followed by a filling and a crown. All of which took approximately 3 hours long. Dr Mogari and his staff were so knowledgable, patient and very helpful on getting my dental health back on track. I was extremely happy with the service I received. Thank you!!!

I should start by admitting that going to the dentist is probably one of my biggest fears. Just the thought of it alone makes me anxious and stresses me out. I’m also EXTREMELY selective when it comes to dentists, and usually only go to see my uncle, but because he lives so far away from me, I had to finally give in and find a local dentist. And I was referred to Dr. Mogari.
From the initial phone call, all the way to the follow up call days after my appointment, I have NEVER had such a great experience at a dentist’s office. Everyone, from the front desk personnel (Nina), to the hygienist (Vaughn– spelling?), to Dr. Mogari himself, my experience was 100% positive. Friendly staff, extremely professional, clean office, no wait time, very accommodating, organized, great communicators, patient, and the list goes on and on. I feel incredibly lucky to have finally found a local dentist who makes me feel comfortable. Highly impressed with the service and professionalism. I’m also extremely pleased with how Dr. Mogari took the time not only to examine me, but also made sure to follow up with me before I left, provided me with a very clear list of priorities for what I needed to get done first, was not pushy AT ALL, and seemed to genuinely care. Phenomenal experience. Highly recommended.

Best cleaning I’ve ever had, and I can back up why.
I’m not one to usually write reviews about stuff like this, but I have to make an exception today.
I just had my teeth cleaned at Irvine Smile Design for the first time and it was by far the best cleaning experience I’ve ever had. Period.
First off, I consider myself a seasoned expert in evaluating dental care professionals. As I’ve had everything from cavities, root canals, gum grafts, bone graft surgeries, 5 dental implants, crowns, bonded teeth, veneers, impacted wisdom teeth extracted, braces for 8 years, headgear, rubber bands, jaw surgery and I’ve had my teeth cleaned 3 – 4 times per year all of my life, and I’m only 28. I’ve been fortunate to experience very highly qualified dental, ortho, and perio professionals in my day.
My experience with Irvine Smile Design was truly impressive. Here’s why.
Everything they did was extremely gentle, and quick, and easy.
They did full mouth digital x rays of every tooth in my mouth, then proceeded to take digital photos of my gums and go over all areas of concern with me, they also did a full periodontal review of my gum as well.
I’ve had my teeth cleaned dozens of times by many different people and I always assumed there would be a few moments of discomfort while in the chair, I mean, it’s the dentist, you expect pain right?
Even at the most fancy and highest reviewed places I’ve visited in the past, like seasoned professionals in fancy downtown La Jolla offices that charge obscene prices, there was always discomfort. Especially wen getting your teeth scaled.
The hygienist at Irvine Smile Design scaled my teeth by hand, and was like a micro surgeon with her attention to detail, patience and precision. Her scaling (when they scratch plaque off of your teeth with a metal tool) was so gentle, I literally almost fell asleep as she was cleaning my teeth. I’m not joking. She was THAAT GENTLE :) !!! Honestly, I didn’t even know that was possible. I just assumed getting your teeth scaled always had to be painful, but I found out today, it doesn’t have to be!
On another note. Other hygienists I’ve had usually talk to me the whole time they are cleaning my teeth, and it’s annoying because for an hour, someone else has their hands in your mouth and you can’t really contribute to the conversation, and you kinda just have to sit there and listen. And I’ve had many hygienists be so chatty about their own lives or so wrapped up in their own stories that they just want to listen to themselves talk and talk and you have to just sit through it. But this was not the case at Irvine Smile Design. The hygienist made very pleasant conversation with me, and it was perfectly appropriate, and minimal. She was just focused on my cleaning and her work primarily.
Additionally. Sometimes hygienists want to lecture lecture lecture you on oral care. Some hygienists feel the need to hammer into your head their annoying schpiel about flossing or brushing or whatever. I understand that a helpful brief lecture is important, but I don’t want to feel shamed about takin better care of my teeth.
You know how some waiters at a restaurant will linger waaay too long and strike up conversation too long… And some waiters just get it. They check on you often, and are in and out with meeting your need in 10 seconds so you can get back to enjoying your meal. That’s kinda what it was like at Irvine Smile Design for my cleaning.
At Irvine Smile Design, the hygienist only gave me very brief, and very informative and helpful mini suggestions about how to care better for my teeth. Such as, «do you see how this gum is slightly inflamed? (Hands me mirror then shows me) because of XYZ, you could consider using technique XYZ (she demonstrates technique) but overall you’re doing a great job taking care of your teeth» and she didn’t hammer it in to my head, or lecture me for 10 minutes about it. It was a quick and helpful tip, and I absorbed it, and boom, that’s it. Which is exactly how I want to be treated. I don’t want to be shamed or guilted into it.
Her advice was fabulous. She was by far THE most gentle hygienist I’ve ever had, and the treatment was quick and easy, yet EXTREMELY thorough.
The lovely young woman at the front desk greeted me with a big beautiful smile, and made me feel very welcome, without being «fake» or over the top. She was on top of it, and she helped me with my paperwork, and it was organized and easy.
My experience is EXACTLY what you should expect from a top of the line dental professional, quick, painless (literally), and very thorough.
I’m a big believer in dental care, and having the highest quality dental care. I’m extremely confident to recommend Irvine Smile Design to anyone who cares about dental health, and wants the highest level of quality available.

If you are looking for a dentist, this is the place to go! Dr. Brown is a great doctor. The whole team is just genuine and honest about everything. Not like other dentists and doctors I’ve had that try to make money left and right. Also located in a great area!

Dr Moghari and his staff are highly professional and amazingly caring. He explained everything so well going over my x rays, my past dental work and future options. I feel very comfortable and well taken care of at this office. I will recommend Dr Moghari to all my friends and family.

I have been a long term loyal client of both Dr. Mogari and Dr. Brown, and let me begin by stating the obvious: There is no one dentistry in the nation (yeah, you heard right) that offers as personable and hospitable staff members. From the moment you enter the room, you are warmly greeted by the wondrous and friendly receptionist, Nina. The wait times are never long and the services are impeccably efficient, so you manage to preserve your sanity– which is rare when dealing with medical services. Everyone caters to you patiently, trying to better each and every one of your experiences; and that is something I greatly value. Sloan, who is responsible for the financial department, is always so cheerful and manages to brighten my day as well: Both Dr. Mogari and Dr. Brown are great company and experts in their field of work; they always manage to get a couple of chuckles out of me. The visits to the dentist now are actually enjoyable and my oral health care has improved tremendously! Who would’ve thought such a dentistry could exist, eh? Trust me, I understand the skepticism, but it does exist.
Recently, I purchased their in house insurance plan and boy, has it saved me bundles! Not to mention, after receiving my first custom sports mouthguard last year, I returned with a chewed out piece after competing in my National Tournament for Jiu Jitsu. Apparently I am an oddity because hockey players manage to keep their mouthguards for longer durations haha. But anyways, the staff was so sensitive to my needs that they bypassed the a large portion of fees and only charged a modest lab fee. I was astounded. I feel that the amazing staff at Irvine Smile Design is an integral part of my wellbeing and my ability to perform well on the mats. Thanks to you all, I feel so grateful to have such a supportive team behind me. Because of you, I placed in gold and silver at Nationals. :) I most definitely recommend you checking out this amazing facility. You will not be disappointed.

I’ve been going to Dr. Brown for years, and was nervous when the practice was first sold a few years ago. To my pleasant surprise however, I think the practice has only gotten better.
I trust both dentists for both myself personally, and more importantly with my children.
My daughter had a fall and broke her permanent front tooth in a very odd manner. Dr. Mogari took care of her, as he would have his own daughter. Despite extenuating circumstances, her tooth is still in tact and recovering very well. I am so glad my pediatric dentist was not able to squeeze us in, and I had to take her to Dr. Mogari instead. Blessings in disguise.

I recently moved down to the Irvine area and came here for my first visit. Doctor Mogari was really attentive and the hygienist very gentle. The front desk took care of my insurance so I had no hassles. I’ll definitely come back for my dental care!

Irvine smile design is great. I was have an issue with sleep apnea and Dr. Mogari fixed me up. He’s a great dentist.

I highly recommend Dr. Charles Brown, DDS. I saw him recently to get a new crown. He is extremely bright, kind, gentle, and so talented in his dental artistry. This dental work was the best I have ever experienced. He is top in his profession and skill level. He offered me the highest quality porcelain crown without a higher price, and his staff offered a cash/​check courtesy discount. Everyone in his office is top notch.

I first came here when my permanent retainer that had been in for 15 years fell out on 1 side. The team was prompt to respond and get me in that day to have my retainer removed. They also throughly cleaned my teeth to make sure there was no residue left from where the retainer was. Dr. Brown was very helpful so I made my next visit for my teeth cleaning at Irvine Smile Design. The team is outstanding. Nina was also very helpful at the front desk. I really enjoy going to this dentist & I highly recommend it

I had high hopes but am THOROUGHLY disappointed.
After having the bebe, I made an appointment. Wound up having 4 fillings that needed replaced I was scared, but determined to get things on the right track. They went through all costs with me and I left in a really good place– knowing I could afford the work and thinking that it was a decent price.
Fast forward 1 month. All four fillings still feel icky all around. Pasty, and cracky, like they’ve left too much stuff and didn’t pay enough attention to smooth it off thinking it’ll grind itself down. Experience some sensitivity. Called and since no one answered I left a msg.
Fast forward 6 months the pain has escalated and extreme sensitivity has set in in all four fillings! So much so, I couldn’t use my right side and had to eat like an old lady– using more my front teeth than the back molars. Left another msg. This time they called me back and although they don’t schedule after 4 (why they close so early is another issue) I had to ask my hubby to come watch the baby so I can make the 3pm appt.
Which I went to. He tapped on a few teeth, made me bite on some ink paper. Then determine it wasn’t his fillings at fault. (?!) I ask him then why is it that I never had issues with sensitivity prior to getting these fillings? He said I HAD HIM STUMPED. ok, I was given a small bottle of toothpaste and sent on my way.
Since I had bypassed the office for payment and since THEY HAD GIVEN ME PAIN, I assumed this checkup would be on them. W-​R-​O-​N-​G.
Since they carelessly gave me that sensitive toothpaste I assumed it was a freebie… WRONG???
They charged my insurance for both the checkup and the f*King toothpaste. And as an extra cherry on top I now realize my insurance isn’t under them so I have to pay out of pocket. Come here at your own risk. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!!!
*also for those that fear dentists, this office is so old there is no modern technology, no earphones, no movies playing, etc…

Both Dr. Brown and Mogari have been «Down in the Mouth» with me in the chair. Both have EXCELLENT chairside skills, do great work, and are both responsive and professional. Their folks in admin, and the great lady who cleans my teeth are worthy of praise. Great office to make your dental home.

One of the best dental office in Irvine, Dr Mogari is very friendly and knowledgeable dentist. He always takes his time to explain the proccess and the staff are very friendly. I higly recommemnd Dr Mogari.

Bought a Living Social deal for Exam, xrays and cleaning.
Was a little nervous since there were no Unilocal reviews. However, I checked out their website which did have several really good patient reviews.
Went to the office today and it was clean, and filled with state of the art equipment. (Digital xrays and an intra-​oral camera).
The staff is very friendly and welcoming and my appointment was right on time. I did not have to wait in the waiting room or in the exam room at all.
Dr. Mogari is excellent. He is warm, knowledgeable and thorough. He spent a good amount of time with me asking questions and getting to know me. He did not seem rushed to move onto the next patient AT ALL. I particularly liked this.
The other thing I liked was that HE (THE DOCTOR) did all the scaling as it pertained to my cleaning (not the hygienist).
I definitely recommend Dr. Mogari to anyone looking for a dentist in the Irvine area.
