Irvine Carpet and Flooring

I landed Irvine Carpet and Flooring (ICF) after I checked with a handful contractors and I am extremely satisfied by ICF. First I had them install carpet upstairs. The pet friendly carpet provides not only the practical part but also brings calming atmosphere and super nice feeling every time I stepped on it. Sean explained the way they would install carpets and what kind of pads they would use. Boy, he was so right!
So I decided to go with Sean at ICF for my kitchen floor before I picked up my kitchen contractor. I chose laminate for the kitchen floor for many reasons and I am very happy with the results. Here are pros and cos about my projects:
Pros
— Sean is very helpful and knowledgeable to choose the products. He always thinks about his customer first.
— Sean is very honest and trustworthy. He accidentally gave me lower price verbally when I visited him. In other words, the quote wasn’t official but he still honored the price even though I didn’t ask for it.
— Sean is very flexible. Since I used him as my flooring contractor, I had to coordinate my project with my kitchen contractor and painter. For example, ICF demoed the floor first, kitchen remodel, paint walls, then ICF finished the floor. Sean never disappointed me. He was very clear about what he could and what he couldn’t from the beginning.
— I don’t think you can get better price elsewhere for what he does.
Cons
— I had to think very hard. The only thing was that they paint the baseboards before their installation. Well, Sean told me about it before they started so this wasn’t a surprise. And again, Sean was right. It doesn’t bother me at all. They look great!
I highly recommend ICF for your carpet and flooring solution.

There’s really no reason to go anywhere else. Sean has a great selection of quality carpets, low prices, and a philosophy of no-​nonsense straightforward pricing with no hidden fees or surprises. I went with a stylish, stainmaster nylon carpet that was very reasonably priced. But what really blew me away was the quality of the installation. It was flawless. Every edge, every seam tucked and tight. Irvine Carpet installed carpet for my rental property. I moved into a new construction house recently and had carpet installed by the builder. Looking at Irvine Carpet’s workmanship, the carpet installation by my builder looked shoddy by comparison, and made me pissed. My rental property looks nicer than my own home!

Having just moved into our new home, we did very thorough research before selecting a carpet and installer. We wanted to make sure we were going with someone who wasn’t over the top expensive, and who was willing to work with us on what we wanted.
I requested a quote from Sean and he responded next day via text and set up a walk-​through a couple days later. Sean brought samples and was detailed about the costs and measurements, as well as very kind to offer us a deal on our two sets of stairs. He also invited us to check out more samples since he was unable to bring them all.
After meeting with Sean my partner and I researched other places, price checking and looking for a particular kind of carpet. We went to the actual business and checked out more samples, inquiring about quality of the carpet, longevity of certain styles and brands. Sean even let us take a sample home with us to see if the colour would go with the couch we wanted to purchase. He was very honest and knowledgeable about the brands, and understanding of our budgeting concerns and many carpeting questions.
We shopped around, visiting other carpet businesses, and once we found the carpet we wanted, it was a bit expensive for the installation so we sent Sean the information. He was able to get us a full quote, which was MUCH more reasonable than the other places we had checked and stated that he could definitely get the style and colour of carpet we wanted.
Sean then had us sign the contract and explained the process thoroughly, including the time frame from ordering to installation. Sean communicated very well with us and was very quick to responding to any questions we had. He even gave us updates on the order status of our carpet from the supplier, notifying us of any potential changes in installation date.
The install was very quick and efficient, and we had no issues whatsoever. Sean was in touch on the day of the install and even called to check on how everything turned out.
Overall, this was a very efficient, and professional experience. I would highly recommend working with Irvine Carpet and Flooring simply because they have reasonable prices for installation, they answer all your questions, and they did a fine job of installing our new carpet in our new home.

We had remodeled my house last year and the carpet installation was at the last. When we started this project, we were particularly looking for the patterned loop or cut-​and-​loop carpet that could last for many years. What we had decided was the Tuftex (Shaw) Madrigal line.
We had contacted several carpet companies in Orange County (from Anaheim, Orange, Irvine, and Laguna Hills to Mission Viejo). Most of the carpet distributors were only interested in selling the products and the service we received was just not good. Needless to say, the quotes we got from them are rather expensive. Finally, we went to Unilocal for more flooring companies that had very good reviews and we found few and contacted them. Among them, Sean in Irvine Carpet was the one impressed us the most. Over the phone, he gave us his honest opinions on the carpet selections and he even quoted the price (based on the spec we gave him) over the phone. Certainly, his quote is competitive in pricing.
We then set an appointment with him to bring the sample carpets for review. He explained in details how to measure and calculate the final cost. We selected the color we wanted and that was it. It was very simple and fast, more importantly — no hidden charge. Since the carpet installation was the last job of my remodeling — right after our interior painting. Sean was very accommodating to our schedule and gave us a good time frame to order the carpet. However, it was unexpectedly that our remodeling schedule was delayed — for one whole month. Even with this delay, Sean helped us to negotiate with the carpet mill to hold the carpet without charging us penalty. We really appreciated his patience and help — he did not make us feel uncomfortable during the delay.
Finally, it was the day for his crews to come — they showed up on time and completed the work on time. They were very professional — they moved the furniture carefully and covered our newly installed wood stairs to avoid any dusts and scratches. After completion of the job, we could not see any carpet joining seams and the edges were well cut and installed perfectly — certainly absolutely no loose nails. The job is well done and the result is beautiful.
Irvine Carpet and Flooring demonstrates that you can still find a decent flooring company in OC. Sean and his company provide us with exceptional customer services and excellent quality of products and installations. We definitely recommend Irvine Carpet and Flooring to our friends.

I honestly don’t know why anyone would try to find a product or service without using Unilocal.Sean and Irvine Carpet are a prime example. I searched Unilocal,found a couple of business and then I read the reviews & called Irvine Carpet. Sean came to the store I wanted to carpet, showed up on time and with the samples I asked for. After choosing the sample he told me it could take up to 2 weeks to get. 4 days later he called to say that he had the carpet. YEA! I told him that Wed. would be good for the install. His guys showed up, again on time, and in 4 hours he had the job done to perfection (I know because I watched them do it). As with the other excellent businesses that I have found on Unilocal — Sean and Irvine Carpet’s information will go into my files to be called for any additional carpeting needs that I may have in the future. I won’t need to call anyone else and neither do you!

Irvine Carpet and Flooring is an A+ plus extra credit in our book. Neither my husband nor I were thrilled at the idea of ripping out the existing flooring of our brand new home, however we couldn’t come to an agreement by the builders’ cut-​off date for flooring so we decided that we would just have to upgrade flooring after escrow closed.
We decided to go with Irvine Carpet and Flooring from all the great Unilocal reviews and the fact that Sean, who I assume is the owner or co-​owner, is great to work with; he is honest, knowledgeable, reliable and friendly. We couldn’t be happier that we did! The installation crew is amazing!!! They removed the existing flooring consisting of tile and carpet very cleanly; we were so relieved! Trust me, the idea of having your brand new home ripped open is stomach-​turning but Irvine Capet and Flooring took the pain out of the process. Our new floors were installed quickly but at the same time with extreme detail and look fantastic!

I am really impressed with this flooring business, I’m pretty sure we priced every flooring shop in Irvine! And this one came above and beyond in price, customer service, and installation! Sean, is great to work with, he helped us with a very difficult decision in picking the right color and brand for laminate floors, the price he gave was extremely competitive and included complete installation with all the trim pieces included and the icing on the cake was the free base boards installed!
What can I say! I’m extremely satisfied, the installers came on schedule, they did a great job, they were more picky than I was with the details! They finished a day ahead of schedule! Thank you!

If I could give Sean and his team 10 stars, I would! They finished installing our carpet today, and I jumped onto Unilocal to write a glowing review because I think they really deserve the recognition. I’ll start from the beginning…
My husband and I already live in our house, but really needed a carpet upgrade. We did our due diligence, and got quotes from about 5 different carpet installers. Irvine Carpet and Flooring had the best quote by far — it was like half the price as the other guys. And his quote included the labor and install, as well as premium padding. He even said he would move our furniture free of charge.
When I called him to see if he was available to come over to measure our space to give us a more accurate estimate, he came that same day. Even though it was already towards the end of the workday, he was able to stop by.
We were originally debating between laminate and carpet, and I was leaning towards laminate… but Sean helped me weigh out the pros and cons. He mentioned that with two young kids, laminate on the upstairs and staircase may not be the best idea because he’s seen a lot of broken arms by kids that fall on stairs. Carpet would cushion that fall. We love hosting playdates, and want kids to run around freely without fear of injury — so carpet it is! Sean would’ve probably made more money off us by just letting us go with laminate, but he really gave us an honest assessment of what might be best for our situation. We felt instantly at ease with him, and found him trustworthy, kind, and honest.
The next step after the initial estimate was to go to his store to check out the different types of carpet. We texted him and went on a Saturday. He was able to help us find one that fit our budget and aesthetic without pressuring us in any way. He was super patient while we hemmed and hawed over which carpet to go with. We signed a contract that day, and he ordered the carpet of our choice.
It took about 2 weeks for the carpet to arrive. He texted me to let me know when he ordered the carpet, when it was expected to arrive, and we worked out a good date for the actual carpet install.
The carpet installers were punctual, and got right to work. They were all very nice and professional, and did a stellar job. Sean came by too to check on their progress during the day. It took one whole day from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. We couldn’t be happier with the final result!
I will definitely refer friends to Irvine Carpet and Flooring in a heartbeat! Their customer service and professionalism is top notch.

Sean and his team did an exceptional job! He met a pretty tight deadline with time to spare. He cares about customer satisfaction and takes pride in his work. In fact, we had a pipe burst just a week after he finished the new floor. The water leaked under the floor and damaged the laminate in our brand new home! Sean saved the day. Although this was no fault of Sean’s, he promptly helped us redo the floor and went above and beyond what was required. The fact that he wanted to get the job done right spoke volumes and is the reason why I would recommend him to anyone. He also did our carpet which came out very nice. We couldn’t be happier!

My husband and I found this store by reading the other reviews here on Unilocal.After visiting several other flooring stores in Orange County, we were RELIEVED to meet Sean. Although we purchased high-​quality flooring, he gave us the best price, by far. (We shopped around to compare prices.) Unlike other flooring businesses that nickel and dime you with costs (underlay, padding, the flooring, baseboards, and install), Sean’s pricing INCLUDES this all. There are no hidden fees, no surprises, no «gotchas».
We called Sean to make an appointment with less than thirty minutes notice one Saturday morning and Sean dropped his plans to meet us. Total newbies to the home buying and remodeling process, my husband and I had a ton of questions to ask. We had been to several other stores before finding Irvine Caret and Flooring and no one took the time to explain the whole process – until we met Sean.
Sean was INCREDIBLE from the get-​go. He showed us several products and encouraged us to take our time in making a selection. Sean also met us a few times outside of the store to deliver samples. This was super convenient for us and considerate of him. He even delivered the baseboards early upon our contractor’s request… Who else would do that?! Sean’s customer service is literally unparalleled!
Sean’s installers came to our house on time and worked harder and faster than I have EVER seen! I literally have never seen people move so quickly with such attention to detail. Sean told us the install would take 3 – 4 days, but they finished in two! Our contractor and his crew even commented on how diligently and quickly they worked! The installers did a PHENOMENAL job. Every corner, every odd angle… literally, our floors are PERFECT.
We told Sean he needs to open up a full-​service renovation business. He was the most dependable, friendly, and forthright contractor we dealt with during our remodel. He really cares that the customer is not only satisfied, but thrilled with the product and outcome.

Sean is really down to earth and values customer service. He was on time for his appointment and gave me a honest measurement (the other flooring companies came up with interestingly inflated measurements…).
Sean gave me some really good advice about the different types of carpets and their cons/​pros. I ended up getting Dreamweaver Tranquility because of the softness, thickness, color, and affordable price. We also considered going with laminate which Sean has a ton of samples of, but in the end we decided to go with tile downstairs. The tile work was done perfectly, all the tiles are perfectly level and laid straight.

I just had new carpet installed and it’s perfect. And it was so much easier than I thought it would be. I met Sean at the showroom, told him my budget and what color/​style of carpet I was looking for, and he showed me exactly what I asked for. He explained the pros and cons of different carpet styles and materials, I asked a few more questions, and within ten minutes I had chosen the carpet I wanted, made an appointment for him to come measure my condo, and gotten a rough estimate of the cost. Two days later he arrived on time, measured everything in about three minutes, wrote up an estimate, told me exactly what to expect and when (had to order the carpet), and a few days later the installers were there, in and out, everything done perfectly. Sean and his crew were very knowledgeable and really easy to work with! Highly recommend.

I recently met Sean at Irvine Carpet and Flooring after seeing the great reviews here on Unilocal,to replace all of the flooring in my new home. Prior to coming here, I went to at least a dozen different flooring contractors and left either dissatisfied at the service or the pricing. I called the number listed here on Unilocal when the store was not open, but Sean picked up and immediately offered to drive over even though he was quite far away. He then met with me for over an hour. Service? CHECK
When we started looking over the many products (IC&F has all of the major brands as well as the less major brands if you are looking to save) I noticed something that I didn’t see at any of the other locations. Every single item’s price was with installation included. I think I asked Sean about three times just to make sure I was hearing right, because at every other place, we were always quoted the material’s cost and then came the nickel and diming with removal fees, installation fees, dampening pad fees, extra fees depending on the scale of the work, etc. etc.
At IC&F, the price you see per square feet on each product is what you’re going to pay to have the thing installed. This made everything so much less stressful as you didn’t have to worry about the cost quickly skyrocketing due to all the hidden extra fees. Price? CHECK
After I selected both the carpet, tile, and laminate flooring that I wanted, Sean scheduled with us quickly to have it all installed. The prices are EXTREMELY reasonable and the work is very, very high quality. I love the new laminate I have downstairs, the plush carpet that Sean recommended for my stairs and upstairs, as well as the Italian made tiles in my kitchen.
Even if you know nothing at all about flooring, Sean will walk you through the entire process and explain to you all the pros and cons of each type and material of tile, carpet and wood flooring. The guy knows his stuff and it shows. He’s not afraid to tell you about the deficiency of a certain product and oftentimes suggested a cheaper material for my purposes instead of just suggesting the most expensive product. After everything was done, I was so relieved I found IC&F and will be going back to Sean again to update my window treatments.
