History

Established in 1997.

Marsallay L. Spicer is the founder, president, lead trainer and consultant of HANDS_​ON Computer Services™ (HOCS). For over 20 years she honed her skills as a contract trainer and elementary school computer teacher. She is certified as a Microsoft Office Specialist and in September 2012 completed requirements for the Leading Edge Certification for Online Teachers.

HOCS is now a full-​service training company with a wide range of services as described on this website. In addition to Ms. Spicer, the company contracts trainers with expertise in all areas of application training and consultant services. It is our goal to provide the highest level of services to ensure customer satisfaction — we will do everything we can to meet your expectations.

Business Owner

A graduate of UCLA, Ms. Spicer majored in theater arts earning Master of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees. After a successful career in the arts, Ms. Spicer became intrigued by technology. For a decade she worked for Xerox Corporation primarily as a Customer Education Representative. In 1996 Ms. Spicer created HOCS as a computer consultant business to serve clients requiring database design and development, digital publishing, and customized training.
