THE BEST! Dr. Shaygan and his whole staff treat you like family. So much so that Dr. Shaygan does the teeth cleanings himself. He remembers every little detail about you and your family and is incredibly gentle and kind. The office has just been remodeled and is beautiful but the people inside of it are even more amazing than the office décor. My whole family goes here and they love Dr. Shaygan and his staff as much as I do. HIGHLY recommend.
PS: They will not rip you off or tell you that you need a bunch of treatments when you don’t.

Dr. Shaygan & Dr. Binesh are the best! I drive all the way from downtown LA to Irvine just to place my teeth into their trusting hands. They truly listen to your dentistry concerns, use the utmost care, and are extremely gentle unlike those other dentists who make you feel rushed and cause pain to your mouth.
In addition, Anna, the awesome office manager, is super accommodating and always able to get you in for a last minute appointment when you are in need.
I can speak personally as to their cosmetic dentistry skills as well as regular dental check ups – they do it all here! They have made my teeth straight with Invisalign braces, as well as worked on cavities and I also see them for semi-​regular check ups as needed.
I will continue to see them forever and can’t recommend them enough! They are top notch you truly can’t get better than this when it comes to a full service dental office!

The worst dentist ever. He did porcelain veneers on my front teeth and they all broke off. Finally after charging me an outrageous price to fix them they still broke off. I change dentists and never have I been happier. I had my veneers fixed by another dentist. I cannot believe he is still in business. .
He also gave my grandson the wrong diagnosis and his parents moved on to a different dentist.

After a few years of huge out-​of-​pocket expenses for work at the Shaygan office, I reviewed my insurance co-​pays and found the staff there had provided false reasons for these excessive payments. I contacted my insurance company and described the last procedure for which I paid $ 500 «co-​pay». They said the copay should be $ 60 and they would investigate. However, they then found there was nothing they could do since I had signed the acceptance form. They also suggested I should consider changing dentists. I later required a crown replacement. I was told this was not covered by insurance, but they would give me a discount to only $ 850 instead of the usual $ 1200 for the work. I refused this and asked for a pre-​determination from the insurance company. This came back affirming coverage with a $ 60 co-​pay. This was the last work for me at this office!

I brought my dad after his filling fell out. They took X-​rays, and Dr Banesh said he had a cavity, and said she needed to drill the cavity out and put in a crown. Because he doesn’t have dental insurance, they quoted him cash price of $ 3000! they said this was a discounted price!
I went to another dentist in irvine for a 2^nd opinion because my dad recently had a dental check and didn’t have cavities then. the 2^nd opinion dentist looked at X-​rays and said there was no cavity and he said he only needed a filling! He also explained that a crown would require shaving half the tooth, which Dr Banesh didn’t inform us! I was shocked that dentists can be dishonest and now know to get 2^nd opinions. The 2^nd opinion dentist only charged my dad $ 300 for the new patient visit, X-​rays, and filling, and his tooth is doing well!
I am still trying to get a refund from Dr Banesh’s office for the new patient visit charge for the incorrect diagnosis of cavity and recommending unnecessary procedures.

I hate dentists.
I love Dr. Shaygan. After years of dentists overdoing stuff, Dr. Shaygan brought me back to the basics and long-​term dental health. When I first went I had been told by another dentist I needed 16 fillings. Dr Shaygan did a deep cleaning and 4 fillings. That was over 10 years ago and I have only needed one (older) filling redone. No dental pain, no new cavities, no gum bleeding. IMO Dr Shaygan also has the soft touch that is hard to find these days. My appointments are always enjoyable if there’s such a thing.

Is it possible to rate a business 10 stars?! I have a difficult time calling the office of Dr. Shaygan a business. Every time i go, i feel like family. The reason for this is because they make me feel important and not just like a number. They take excellent care of your dental needs and listen to the patient. Dr. Binesh is seriously amazing!!! Her bedside manner is superb. She always explains what she is doing and why she is doing it and it really helps with ones anxiety. After going to two different cosmetic dentistry spots in LA and ending up with botched jobs, i was about to give up hope, but then i found Dr Shaygan and Dr B! I am beyond happy with my gorgeous teeth. Dr B is like the next Picasso. No joke! Also, their entire team is so sweet and knowledgeable! Special shout out to Ameneh, Fabi and Ana! THANK YOU!

I have a dentist that i like in Laguna Niguel. But it is too far for me since i hang around irvine area only so i decided to find a new dentist closer to my house. I am always skeptical about dentists because I learned my lessons from other dentists. I found some dentists are high class of mechanics who tries to milk your money for the service you Don’t need. I saw the reviews and decided this dentist office should be good so I entered as a first time patient. I went in to do a teeth cleaning. Had just had my teeth checked approximately 8 months ago so I know there is nothing or anything major need to be done on my teeth. The staff insisted that I have to have X RAY in order to have my teeth cleaned because of OSHA rule. What a BS! Needless to say I wasted my time and didn’t get any service. I just wanted a teeth cleaning that day because i don’t have time. I was skeptical of what they would say and do… then I will have to go to 2 more dentists to confirm the service they said that i will need is true.

Unfortunately there are good and bad experiences. I had an amazing experience starting with Ellie and ending with Dr. Farzad Shaygan. The prices are very fair and the staff is professional and kind. Keep it up.

Excellent! After a great recommendation from a friend I came to Dr. Shaygan with my dental issues and wow I’m so glad I did. I found my new dentist forever! A 5 star experience all the way. Dr. Shaygan and his staff were fantastic.

I’m skeptical of dentist. I find most try and rip you off or have no chair side manner. But Dr. Shaygan is not the norm. He was so friendly and gentle and he explained everything to me in laymen’s terms. I can tell he knows what he is doing, and I felt like he was honest and wasn’t just trying to milk me for money. Do yourself a favor and go see him, you won’t be disappointed. So happy I found a dentist I can trust. Makes having to go a pleasure instead of a dread.

My whole family went to Dr. Shaygan’s dental office for over 3 years. New enrollment for our insurance came and we chose to go to a different doctor.
Office staff is ok, friendly and love to converse w/​patients.
Dr. Shaygan himself is the reason why we left. Always gives my wife a hard time about how she does not take good care of cleaning her teeth. Talks to us like he’s taking to 12 year olds.
My wifes a doctor and I’m a nurse but we don’t get the respect we deserve from this dentist. To me he’s an arrogant dentist tired of his work.

Very very disappointing, Im talking about the uneducated front desk staff who does not know the basic of their job. I have been to Dr. Shaygan Office twice and every time was charged extra for something that my insurance covers 100%. They forced/​convinced me to pay a $ 50 copay, (which was shocking to me cause I have been to many other dentist offices before having the same exact insurance, never had to pay a copay for an exam). I called my insurance and sure enough they informed me there is not Copay/​deductible. Same day I went back to office to get my money back but she told me she is going to double check and reimburse me. Its been more than 3 weeks and I am still waiting… I have already called them 4 times and sent 2 emails… this is just ridiculous. In state of California this is Fraud. And that not even the whole story…

They do good work. However, they either are always are understaffed or they always over book, because I always have to wait between 30 – 60 mins. That a bit ridiculous.
Please do something to change this.

I’ve probably been to Dr Shaygan’s office about a dozen times. I never have to wait longer than 5 minutes when I get there. Even when I come early.
I find Dr. Shaygan very competent and trustworthy. I was going to Western Dental for a while because they were the default provider for UC students.
I’m so glad I switched dentist. I’ve had two crowns with Dr. Shaygan and so far they are doing great. I had to get both of my crowns from my old dentist fixed because they didn’t fit right (i.e., food kept getting stuck in one, and the other kept falling off).
Staff is friendly. There’s one mexican dude who likes to talk about football and is pretty funny.
Conversations with Dr. Shaygan are pretty easy. We talk about movies, Steve Jobs, the weather, and whatever is going on.
Dr. Shagyan gives me grief for not flossing better, but he’s nicer about it than other dentist.

Dr. Shaygan and his staff were very patient and kind to me! I am very afraid of the dentist and drills/​shots! They helped me through my fillings and really made me feel at ease! I would recommend his office to everyone. I take my kids to him and my husband goes to him!

Horrible! Does accept HMO, but refused me as a patient because HMO covered only certain procedures, and he wanted to charge me for a full blown implant vs a bridge. But it would be ok if he just refused me as a patient, however — he and his whole team were so rude, mean and degrading to me! Once they figure out that they can’t make big bucks from you, they treat you like crap at this office! Mean, cold, money grabbing piece of crap this Shaygan DDS is!

I had cracked my tooth and Dr. Shaygan’s office is wonderful for an HMO accepted office. They took care of me by fitting me for a crown. They talked about all of the options I had and encouraged what was right for my price range. I decided to go with a gold crown with porcelain enamel because it is stronger and would not stain my gums purple after a decade of use. Dr. Shaygan then offered a complimentary upgrade to their newest/​strongest crown in the market, a cubic zirconia crown with porcelain enamel.
I am very happy with my crown, experience, and now go to them for teeth cleanings, and consultations.
