Lighter than air, Casey’s Cupcakes mixes love with the freshest ingredients to make a treat so perfect, you almost don’t want to eat it… but of course, you will!

Casey’s Cupcakes is a delightful confection boutique where you know you’re in for a treat the moment you see the glass cases filled with delicious, beautifully decorated cupcakes, each topped with Casey’s signature chocolate medallion. The décor for each store is inspired by a classic Parisian café with a glamorous Hollywood twist and incorporates bright splashes of pink with classy black accents and whimsical accessories. The fun, happy, bright and vibrant ambiance reflects the personality of the company’s founder, Casey Reinhardt, who began baking with her great grandmother when she was only four years old. In 2011 Casey won Cupcake wars «Walk of Fame» and has since expanded her stores to 5 locations.

Casey Reinhardt is the Owner, Chief Creative Officer, Cupcake Queen and the winner of Food Network’s Cupcake Wars. She is passionate about creating delicious and fresh cupcakes using the freshest and highest quality ingredients available. The young entrepreneur is the owner of four Casey’s Cupcakes retail stores and is expanding throughout the U.S. and internationally. Each Casey’s Cupcakes store locations are truly an experience, a destination inspired by a classic Parisian café with a glamorous Hollywood twist.

Casey’s curiosity for confections began at an early age when she started baking with her great grandmother. Although she was only four years old, baking resonated with her and grew into a passion that she nurtured throughout her life. Amongst all the treats she would bake alongside her great grandmother, cupcakes became a favorite because they can be customized for each person with deliciously unique flavor profiles and creative, glamorous and beautiful decorations.

I’ve visited almost all of the locations countless times. If I’m in the area it’s a must! All locations are decorated so amazing! I can’t help but take countless pictures every time. I’ve always had great customer service, associates are genuinely nice. The cupcakes are delicious and decorated beautifully as well! I’m a big fan! Cupcakes are not always fresh. I use to go twice a week till the last 3 times I went to purchase ½ dozen cupcakes for the kids they were stale and old. Too bad since I live right around the corner from this place. Now I have to drive further out to grab cupcakes.

All you need to know is that I live in San Diego, not to mention south of San Diego, l am willing to drive 1.5 hours just to have a Sassy strawberry cupcake from Casey’s Cupcakes! I’m addicted. I wish they opened one here in SAN DIEGO. Please consider it. I will be the number one customer !

How can a cupcake not be super yummy??? I guess they can when they’re stale. My husband picked some up for the first time this afternoon and I was excited to try one but then totally disappointed, the red velvet cake was DRY and the heart sprinkles were STALE, such a bummer. For $ 3.50 you’re better off buying a box of Duncan Hines cake mix & whipped frosting, at least they’re moist.

Casey’s is no Sprinkles or Susie Cakes… I think the frosting is ok (although a little too much if you ask me), but the cake is always dry. I’ve tried the Irvine and Fashion Island locations, but I’m just not sold.

$ 7 for two cupcakes that went in the trash… Driest cake ever. I have no problem spending $ 3 – 5 for cupcakes… my grandson took one bite and said, «Yuck» I tried mine the frosting was good, but the cake was so dense and DRY. We went to Coldstone and I spent another $ 10 so he’d be happy.

Not sure why the low ratings but we absolutely loved the crownie cupcake. It was the best cupcake I’ve ever tasted, very moist and I loved the frosting. We got one cupcake as a birthday present and I’ve never tasted the other flavors or stepped foot in the store. Looking forward to tasting the other flavors.

This is an update to my previous review. Over time I think caseys cupcakes has improved. All their flavors usually stay the same, but they always have a new flavor of the month. Like in November they would do a pumpkin spice cupcake, Christmas, a peppermint cupcake, and so on. Which I think is great. I always have to get the Lemon cupcake or the Confetti birthday cupcake. Delicious. I’m so sick of the red velvet though. Remember when red velvet was a huge thing and there was red velvet everything? Yeah definitely can’t do their red velvet cakes anymore.
Highly recommend Lemon cake though.

The driest cupcake I’ve ever had! $ 3.50 for a each cupcake one would expect some yummy moist deliciousness. Wroonnnnggg so dryyyy you’re better off baking out of a box cupcakes and frosting than buying one from here. Not good! Stay away. So disappointed. my husband calls it whip cream on stale bread.

So I came in here to see if this place made cakes cuz I needed a cake for my son. Anyways, I guess they do make cakes and the girl that was working there was pretty helpful… As helpful as she could be. She even offered to call the baker and get an exact price quote for what I had wanted and she said she’d call me back that day. Ok great! So I grab a cupcake of the flavor I had wanted to order so I can make sure they at least taste good and I was on my merry way.
Got home, opened the cupcake packaging (which was nice, but prob added to the price of my cupcake), ate it in 4 bites (literally… I cut it up into 4 pieces and popped each piece in my mouth), and the first thought that came to my mind was they tasted like supermarket cupcakes… Except it was in fancy packaging.
Anyways, the girl never called and I wasted $ 3.50 (?) and my time. Read that the owner won on cupcake wars… Wonder if it’s judged on creativity/​design or taste or both? Gave it one star because the cupcakes weren’t horrible and another star Bc I picked up these cute, but expensive, candles from there.

I went here after hearing all the huff and puff people have stated about the deliciousness behind the cupcakes, but to be quite frank it was not all that. I had a coconut cupcake and it just tasted like something that would’ve come out of a box. There was nothing extraordinary about this cupcake and maybe it was just this particular flavor and maybe next time there can be something different that I can try? As for now I give this a below average rating…

My order of 3 cupcakes came out to less than $ 11. Even though I had my credit card/​debit card, they’re asking for my ID which I eventually did get to them but it was a hassle because I had to run all the way back out to my car. But with an order of this small amount, I’ve never heard of any place in Irvine asking for ID. I told him I would gladly use my pin number but no they insisted that I go out to my car and get my drivers license. If it weren’t for the promise I made to my daughter about getting her a cupcake, I would’ve left immediately. I think I will just stick to sprinkles cupcakes plus they taste much much better, Instead of the synthetic taste that come from these so-​called cupcakes. I hope this review helps, but in my opinion you’re better off making your own cupcakes. but I suggest sprinkles in Corona Del Mar.

Not sure how many people actually come to Casey’s cupcake for the quality of the cupcakes?
As a girl, I often get a Casey’s cupcake for my friend who love cupcake. Birthday, nurse’s week, boss’s day, administrative day. It’s for an occasion. The cute pink box, the pretty cupcake, the paper bag. I have been to Casey’s often, but not because I enjoy their cupcake. Don’t get me wrong. I have been fortunate that the Casey’s cupcakes that I have had were decent. Not the best, but the worst. Sometimes it’s moist, someday is a little dry. But personally I expect better dessert for $ 3.50. The individually boxed cupcake makes cute little gift tho.

Wow, some really awful reviews for this place… I guess when people pay $ 5 or more for a cupcake, they come hangry. Based on the reviews, I probably would not have chosen to try Casey’s, but a co-​worker brought in three varieties and I figured I’d give it a shot.
I tried the coconut cupcake and I think it compared rather favorably to the better cupcakes I’ve had. The coconut was not overpowering or sickeningly sweet. The cake part was light and airy. The cupcakes were in a very attractive box, which adds to their gift appeal… who doesn’t like cupcakes in a pretty box?

Was back in the area last night so my friend and I rolled in to try some new flavors. We tried the vanilla coconut and the cutie fruitie (which was lemon and strawberry swirl and strawberry frosting).
Both were really really good. I love the atmosphere of this store and the display case and presentation is absolutely beautiful. The girl working the counter was super friendly and patient as we tried to figure out which ones to try.
I really like their selection and if I lived closer… I’d be in trouble for sure. This is a definite «go-​to» when you’re visiting the Spectrum.

To summarize how fucking terrible the cupcake I had from here was this afternoon, I literally just texted my friend hours after the fact and said «I still cannot believe how awful that cupcake was.»
A huge pile of reviews ask how this place could possibly still be in business… I’ll tell you how: idiots like me who don’t listen to the reviews and go anyways because we so desperately want a damn cupcake.
I cannot even describe what I was served. I can only compare it to a science experiment. The cupcake part was gummy and play-​dough like all at once and the frosting?! WHAT IN THE HELL WAS THAT?! It was a pink foam like substance with glitter sprinkled on top.
The girls who worked there were perfect little cupcake-​serving angels, and I told them they have horrible reviews on Unilocal and that I hoped the reviews were wrong, they seemed surprised that people didn’t love Casey’s Cupcakes, but I KNOW those babes weren’t eating no damn cupcakes because they were perfectly skinny and cute.
This place is a joke. I would not return nor would I recommend. Maybe if I was really pissed at someone I would send them a dozen of these to scorn their existence. And even that might be too cruel.

I’ve tried a few different flavors and the only one that I really liked was the vanilla cupcake. Kinda funny that my favorite would be boring vanilla but it’s actually quite good here as the flavor is a very natural vanilla, not artificial tasting at all. It’s also always moist and the frosting perfect.
Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for some of the other flavors. They’re not bad, mind you, but nothing I’d order again or crave. I’d stay away from the fruit flavored (i.e. strawberry, lemon, etc.) as they taste very artificial to me –which is a big no-​no in my cupcake book. I’d highly suggest you stick to vanilla or chocolate if you want a tasty cupcake.
As for the service, the staff is always helpful and friendly. It’s a cute place although I was a little surprised to see Casey Barbies (lol) but otherwise had a nice ambiance. :)

These harsh reviews are hilarious! I think Casey’s is just average but not disgusting!
I come here once in a while to buy cute cupcakes for friends’ birthdays because Sprinkles is just way too far from my house. The cupcakes are presented very well in a cute box and pink baggie. Definitely better than buying those ugly cupcakes from Ralphs to give as a mini gift! Each one costs $ 3.50 and sometimes they have happy hour where you buy 2 cupcakes get 1 free. Also, they have gluten free options.
Red Velvet is the only flavor here that I like! Some days, the cupcake part is just really dry. I feel like they aren’t made daily so it really is a hit or miss if you get a fresh one or not.
Do NOT get the Excellent Espresso one. BARF! Ok not barf, but yuck. I tasted this one on my birthday and didn’t even want to finish it. It doesn’t taste like espresso at all and is super flavorless. I’ve tried a few others too and I still have to stick with Red Velvet. I just love the cream cheese frosting. However, I am definitely TEAM SPRINKLES! :)
