Vet on the Run

We had a VERY positive experience with Dr. Klages and her staff this morning.
We are new to the area, were looking for a vet for our two cats and saw the van drive by. I looked up the website and called for an appointment. There was a wait for an available appointment so be sure to call in advance.
When the appointment date arrived, the vet and her staff arrived at the scheduled time. They pulled up to the curb outside the house in a large mobile office/​exam room (an RV). I brought my two cats out to them and 45 minutes later, with shots, exams, labs, micro-​chipping and grooming done, they departed. Very kind, very efficient. The cost seemed right for the services rendered and the incredible convenience. Beats the heck out of trying to drive the cats someplace to an outside appointment. Wonderful service, wonderful staff. Highly recommended.

Apprehension… Thats what I had… Mobile vet… This is my dog and like most people is part of your family and YOU are responsible to do what is best for them and you Don’t want to make a mistake. I researched Vet on The Run and spoke to clients who have used them and I was impressed on how many people swore by them as being the perfect solution to your vet needs. My maltese Ollie was checked out by Dr. Susan Klages and her staff right in front of my house in their fully stocked Rv. Clean and impressive. I was immediately impressed by her knowledge and in line with «doing what is best for your pet» that is what I want a vet with plenty of experience. I was advised that Ollie needs surgery to remove two warts on his face and a large growth on his leg. I was advised on my options… what happens if I don’t do it etc. what are the risks and after pondering it I said ok. It was set up for two weeks later and I was a nervous wreck about it. After two calls expressing my concerns I received two 3 min! voicemails going the extra yard in offering comforting assurance and guidance. It worked I was immed ok with going ahead. Surgery day came and it was incredible. Imagine your dog having a two hour surgery and you are sitting in your house wigging out. Bottom line I get a call «you can come out and pick up Ollie»…Imagine my surprise when I walk in and he is walking around and totally happy to see us like we were picking him up from grooming… I don’t usually leave long reviews because people will stop after a few sentences but if you are like me you read every word from every review when making decisions for your pet and their welfare. Oh by the way they even cleaned his teeth at the same time… Price was great and such good people…

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Sue, Tabi, and the other staff members. Vet on the Run has been my vet of choice for three years and I can’t imagine using anyone else. Their mobile unit is set up for just about every situation and my dogs are given the best of care.
Just before I moved to Palm Desert three years ago, I was told that my eight-​year-​old dog only had six months to live because of a serious heart condition. Thanks to Dr. Sue and Tabi, my little guy lived for three more years without pain and, from the outside, acted and looked like a very healthy dog.
The Vet on the Run team works with me to ensure my dogs are getting the best care and includes me in all decision making. Plus, they continually educate me about the care of my animals and confirm that I have a clear understanding of what’s going on in regards to the dogs’ health. I appreciate all they do for me and my dogs, but most appreciate their kindness and genuine caring for dogs and owners alike.

I first discovered Vet on the Run when I broke my ankle earlier in the year. The technician rings the doorbell and takes your pet out to the mobile clinic where they have everything self contained.
Then Dr. Susan Klages, an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced vet comes inside to talk with you. She apologizes for her abruptness and questions you, always looking for patterns. Based on your answers she calls the technicians and tells them what to do.
Eventually the technicians bring your pet back into the house. It’s an advantage having a vet who is in your environment able to notice things that may be contributing to allergies etc. She has the opportunity to look at your interior environment and the exterior and to give you suggestions. I also appreciate the time Dr. Klages spends educating her client. I have learned so much from her. I called, they showed up the next day. You can’t beat her pricing. Highly recommend.

Professional, savvy, always on time for appointment. My pups don’t like traveling, so Vet On The Run is my savior. I’ve found their charges are in line with other veterinary offices I would have to drive to. So compassionate, and understanding — my pups appreciate them.

This is the most amazing service, Dr, and facility ever!
Having just moved to the area, we are very overprotective and very particular about the care we give our fury friends … I did some research, but still skeptical.
Today was our first time using, my pet had a small procedure and was overwhelmed with how caring, informative and experienced these guys are — highly recommend.
We will not use anyone else!!.

I called them to come see my older lab. At first they were very helpful. After 3 months of appointments an as many as 10 visits, we called to cancel an appointment. The dog was doing great, and after spending almost 2000.00 with this vet I cancelled the appointment. I called today to reschedule an appointment and get a recheck and to have medications refilled. This is the response received. «After you called to cancel the fructosamine recheck appointment at the end of last year and did not reschedule we had been under the assumption that you had already found another veterinarian of record. I have included his records as an attachment to aid your new veterinarian in familiarizing himself or herself with his case. We wish you great success in establishing a working relationship with a new veterinarian for Boomer.» We will no longer see Boomer” Now that were taking him to Animal Samaritans we couldn’t be happier. His health has improved at a fraction of the cost!

Vet on the Run is truly a unique and perfect way for me to have my «babies» cared for. Dr. Klages is so knowledgeable and has a calming touch with all animals. Tabby moves at the speed of light and also is very knowledgeable. I am so fortunate to have found Vet on the Run to hand my pets over to when in need of competent and compassionate care!

The BEST ! They come to you, well prepared, with an amazing fully equipped van.
I just happened to see them once on the road and am so glad I jotted down their telephone number. Very thorough examination of my puppy.
Not inexpensive, but hey when it comes to your four legged family member, quality care is the upmost concern.

A dream come true! A vet that comes to me. Dr. Klages and her assistant were so nice and took great care of my 13 yr old Chewy. Very happy to have found them! Oh and the price was much much less than a visit to other local vets.

Dr. Klages and her team are outstanding. Today was our first visit with them. I do not trust just anyone with my dog, however, this vet neutered my friend’s Rottweiler a while back and came highly recommended. They were prompt, caring, gentle with their exam and treatment and I would definitely use them again. In addition, they gave me tips regarding further treatment and care for my dog which I greatly appreciate. They did not make me feel rushed and patiently answered all my questions.

I am new to the Coachella Valley and had questions regarding the practice and a concern about one of my dogs. I called three different vets and this is the only one that called me back AND within a minute! She answered all my questions and made me feel like this practice truly cared about the pet and not just the money. Will definitely be calling them to come when my babies need an exam! We’ve been to every vet in this valley but we finally found the best!!! Dr. Klages and her A+ team are always on time and are so professional without losing that human caring touch. There really are not enough wonderful things to say about her and her staff. They are so good at what they do and never prescribe meds or tests that are unnecessary. Shes so knowledgeable and always knows whats ailing our animals. We will never see anyone else and highly recommend her!!!

Today was my first visit with Dr. Sue and her assistant. The mobile office arrived right on time and the interior set-​up is pretty amazing. Clean, pet-​friendly and complete with necessary lab equipment. My cat hates being put in a kennel and hates the car. Hates waiting in a Vet’s office with loud noises /​barking dogs. This was easy and so much less stressful for my cat AND for me. She received a thorough checkup, nail clipping and a good brushing along with all the info we needed to continue her care. I will definitely call them again when I need veterinary care for my cat and 2 dogs.

I have a twenty year old cat named Pearl who was matted. I hate putting her in the car she has always hated and now that she is older even more traumatic. I found Dr. Susan Klages Vet on the Run and she is a life saver– I had let the matting go for too long– Dr. Klages and her team were awesome– Compassionate to Pearl and to me. Educated me on how to care for my elderly cat. The Mobile Vet has everything a Vets office has but they come right to your door. No car rides or waiting in a full office with other animals
