We offer Private Golf Lessons, Golf Schools, Clinics and Playing Lessons at the Golf Club at Terra Lago in Indio, California. Mike understands that golf is a game and games are supposed to be fun. Golf Instruction with Mike is a fun, relaxing, informative and motivating experience. History

Established in 2009.

Mike Maggs is a dedicated Master Golf Instructor at the Maggs Golf Academy. He has spent years giving hundreds of students countless hours of expert Golf Instruction, helping them achieve what they thought was not possible. His golf lessons will help your golf game achieve your goals, but just as importantly they are flat out fun. Many students have said that the Golf School they took with Mike was the best golfing experience of their lives.

Mike Maggs has been teaching golf in the Palm Springs area for the past five years. He previously was an Instructor at the PGA West Golf Academy and prior to that at the Jim McLean Golf School, both of which were located at PGA West and La Quinta Resort.

After the second 100 year flood in two years at the La Quinta Resort, Mike decided to find higher ground and to pursue his ultimate goal of having his own Golf Academy. He is thrilled to have found a home at the Golf Club at Terra Lago for the 2014 – 15 season and beyond.

Mike Maggs is a dedicated Master Golf Instructor at the Maggs Golf Academy. He has spent years giving hundreds of students countless hours of expert Golf Instruction, helping them achieve what they thought was not possible. He previously was an Instructor at the PGA West Golf Academy as well as the Jim McLean Golf School, both of which were located at PGA West and La Quinta Resort. Mike is a Certified Jim McLean Instructor. Over the years Mike has studied the game of golf under several Top 100 Instructors, most notably Jim McLean. He learned patience from Jim and that meant not always fixing the first problem you see, but instead to step back and look more deeply until you can see the key corrections and not just the symptoms. Mike knows doing this is what ultimately will help his student succeed. Every student is unique, with different goals and abilities and all these factors come into play when he’s putting together a plan for success.
