Nice little lunch spot by my work. There’s a nice seating area and the place was neat and clean. I recommend ordering ahead– my lunch order was an estimated 30 to 35 minute wait but was worth it. The food was fresh and better than the other Asian options in Lawrence! The spring rolls were super fresh, pork with noodles had a little kick of heat to it and the beef phở was awesome, especially on a snowy day! Sandra is very nice as well.

This is by far the best place for Phở and spring rolls in Indianapolis. When it comes to Phở, fragrant broth and fresh herbs are key. Sandra’s offers lovely bowls that are on par with Phở I’ve had in cities like Shanghai. The spring rolls are nothing short of gorgeous: delicate rice wrappers enfold giant, fresh shrimp and crispy veggies. The restaurant is clean and modern as well, which is refreshing compared to other Vietnamese places here. Forget Saigon and anyplace on the north side. Take a trip to the far east side of the city for great ambiance, friendly service, and above all, excellent phở for cold winter evenings.

Absolutely love the phở soup and come back all the time for it. I’ve been coming here since they opened and they always have great food.!! Definitely recommend to everyone

Hands down my absolute favorite spot in Indy. The two owners run the place by themselves and have an amazing story if you ever have the time to ask. The food is outstanding and I crave it on a daily basis. The phở is delicious but my favorite dish had to be their black pepper chicken. It also comes in shrimp or beef. They cook it and serve in in a clay pot. The flavors are out of this world and if you are extra hungry tray the combo clay pot its also amazing.

I have had Sandra Rice & Noodle before, and got the chicken pad thai which was really good. I wasn’t sure what Phở was, but always wanted to try it. Went back to Sandra’s today and got the Phở and spring rolls. I was not disappointed; I will probably get the same thing when I go back! Very good, and so excited it’s not far from me!

Love the chicken curry lunch special. The amount of food is a deal for the price I paid for.

I love this place. The staff is always so pleasant, and by staff I mean the one woman who is always working the cash register, serving the guests and taking orders. The food is delicious and being a vegetarian she is always is so kind when I make special requests. I go here probably once a month during my lunch break, and it has never disappointed.

We were excited to find another Vietnamese restaurant in town but as an Asian person, I have to say I’m not too overly impressed. I had their dry noodles, which wasn’t too bad. The spring rolls from the appetizer menu were a bit overpriced. Their phở selection is very, very limited. Husband got the lemongrass chicken dish — neither of us could recognize the dish when it arrived at our table. The dish is usually pan friend ’til crispy, but instead, they gave us small, chopped up chicken breast pieces soaked in sauce. It tasted bland and the size of the dish was tiny. Needless to say, husband went home hungry and dissatisfied.

This place is just a delight. I do get excited whenever I am close. I plan my day around getting here. Always hot and fresh. Takes a minute because it’s just the 2 of them. I had the pork with noodles. I have had the phở before and it’s topnotch. I took home a fish that was called dry noodles or something and it comes with a side of broth. I intended to give it to my daughter but I ate it. It was kinda like a phở. I love this place.

Upon a arrival to the quiet restaurant tucked into the busy Pendelton Pike, I quickly realized I had found a Gem. I was welcomed by a sweet lady who made sure I was comfortable the entire time.

The lunch specials are amazing. It’s not the fastest place, but oh my the food is so worth the wait! $ 6.99 for a small soup, the freshest spring roll I’ve ever had, and pad thai. yum! Sandra is literally the one who brings you your food. The ambience is relaxing, too. I will be back-often!

I love it here! It’s super affordable and convenient for me, but I keep coming back because of the service. The owners are so welcoming and they always remember me and ask about what’s going on in my life. I rarely stray from my favorite(rice noodle soup with tofu and spring rolls), but whenever I have, it’s been far from a disappointment. I have literally been in love with everything I’ve ordered here, especially the Thai iced tea. I feel like I could live off of this stuff. The lunch special is such a good deal and everything is always fresh and made to order. If you’re in a hurry, I recommend calling in your order ahead of time because it’s just two people working and can get a little busy. I’ve never waited an obscene amount of time but I can see how taking a lunch break from work could be a bit of an issue. Two people working a busy lunch is commendable, though! It’s worth the wait, and the service is always amazing even when they’re busy. I don’t mind taking the extra time for how good the food is!

Okay Phở, pretty basic incarnation of it. Sandra’s has a sizeable selection of other authentic Vietnamese options, which aren’t half bad, but the whole experience is unfortunately overshadowed by how understaffed the place is, especially for a weekday lunch slot.

There are good restaurants, great restaurants & phenomenal restaurants — this one is phenomenal. The Phở is literally life changing. The ingredients always are fresh & it is so flavorful. I’ve tried a number of other items from the menu and I have always loved them! Another plus is Sandra takes the time to get to know her customers — she was willing to run an order out to my car after my husband had surgery & I had a sleeping baby in the back seat. I can’t recommend this place enough!

The Phở here is life changing!!! We love it here and Sandra is just a wonderful person. An order of Phở is definitely enough for two(we get it as takeout most of the time) and is only 8 bucks! Everything else we’ve tried here has been delicious!

I think I’ve only ever had their Chicken Pad Thai, because it is amazing. I’m sure the rest of the menu is quite good. And next time I will be sure to try something different. The lunch special comes with a tasty chicken and rice soup and a spring roll that is also quite good. The lunch prices are incredibly reasonable and the owner, Sandra, is very pleasant. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time at lunch, as they make everything from scratch.

I ordered the shrimp and chicken curry to go. Their version was not the best by far. I have cooked a better one myself with better ingredients. It took her a while to make this dish it seems for a subpar outcome.

I love this restaurant! One of my favorites in Indianapolis. Sometimes it gets busy, so the food may take a while but the service is always good and the food delicious. The server and cashier named Ha is always polite, even when busy. The best is that she always remembers my face. I don’t do the lunch often, but the special is from 11 – 2 and is $ 6.99. There’s a nice list of options too! Mostly chicken. On this visit I tried the Ginger Chicken meal. Each selection comes with a cup of chicken and rice soup and a spring roll. The meal itself came, nicely presented and hot. For a lunch choice, it was very filling! Yellow and red peppers, onions and rice with the perfectly seasoned chicken. Delish. They also, to my surprise, just started a dinner special for $ 9.99. I recommend this place to anyone. One of the best family owned and operated restaurants.

Delicious! This is some truly mouth-watering food right here. That said, you simply cannot ignore the wait time. There were two tables of people, aside from myself, during lunch today. How long did I wait for my meal to get delivered? 30 minutes. Look, this is a small place with very few employees. I get it and don’t want this to tarnish the quality of the food itself. I won’t trash the place with 3 or fewer stars like others have done because I knew this wasn’t a fast food joint. But just be aware that a wait is part of the deal. Plan accordingly and your taste buds will thank you. I will keep coming back. P. S. — I’ve changed this to 5 stars. Well deserved, considering I needn’t fix at least once per week.
