General Tso Inn

Although I feel like they might have changed the crab Rangoon on me since I’ve began my General Tso’s journey 3 years ago, I’ll let it slide. The prices are ridiculously cheap and the food is ridiculously delicious.
Also, I don’t understand how one can make a meal for 2 in under 10 minutes, that only costs maybe $ 12, and is delicious and filling all in one. They bend all science to bring you the best Asian take out this side of the missisip.
Whether you want a quick dinner, or a luxerious take out meal, General Tso’s Inn is the place to go!

This is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant the seaseme chicken is to die for. Anything i eat there is good. they have pretty cheap lunch special s like a comination platter for 4.58 and you get a free pop with every meal you order. Only bad thing is they dont deliver but it is worth getting off your butt to get you wont regret it. It looks like a old run down place but after you taste the food you would think your in heaven please belive me im a picky eater. Im all smiles when eat hear never had a problem.

General tso’s inn is my go-​to cheap Chinese place. The portions are large, and everything I’ve had is tasty. I can’t say I’ve had anything exceptional, but nothing below-​average either. I really enjoy the curry chicken. Also, they give you free sodas with your food!

The surrounding area is slightly run down looking, but give it a chance. Great food for cheap.

I really want to give this place a higher review, because it is so cheap, and so good when compared to the price, but the customer service is SO BAD. The woman (who may have had a bad day), cut me off, waved her hand at me, and generally acted like I was doing HER a disservice! Example, I asked her how something on the menu was, her response? «I don’t know, TRY IT»

With that being said, this rating is for the food alone. Actually, there is a younger guy who works there who is awesome, so I’ll give it 4 stars, but sometimes the service just leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Luckily, you can soon alleviate that bad taste with their delicious food.
Cool thing #2, I ordered a lunch combo at like 5:30 (WAYYYYY after their lunch hours ended) and they still gave me the same price.
Yea, the 4 star is warranted. Usually it’s a pleasant place to grab cheap Chinese in/​around FSQ. The plaza is SUPER shady though!!!

General Tso is a solid take out Chinese Restaurant with great food over by the Twin Aire Shopping Center. A good place to get take out if you live around Irvington. Yes, it is somewhat divey and in a somewhat dilapidated strip mall, but the food is great. I had the crispy tofu with garlic sauce and it was really good. The tofu was sliced into delicate squares and the sauce included a fantastic mix of vegetables including two kinds of mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots.

This is my go to «cheap» Chinese restaurant. Fast and friendly service and for the questionable location, the food is quite tasty. Try the crab rangoons, they are fantastic here! Lunch with a can of soda for less $ 5, dinner with egg roll and a soda less than $ 6.50.
