Autohaus Merkle

The guys a Autohaus are the best I’ve found. I have a 04 BMW that I’ve had serviced there since the warranty ran out. They are honest and have much better prices than than any dealer. I would recommend them to anyone with a German auto.

The Autohaus is a very fine haus, indeed. I have a diesel VW and a Subaru, two cars with unusual engines, so I’m not going to take them just anywhere. (True story: the Subaru got vapor lock once – took it to a 20-​minute lube place and the mechanic raised the hood, took one look, and said, «The engine’s in backwards, I can’t work on that!». It’s not backwards, it’s a Boxer engine!). The Autohaus has always been able to keep my cars running happily, for less money than the dealers charge – often a lot less. They work quickly, they’re friendly and reasonable, and they know which way the engines go. Plus, they’re close to home. What more could you want? Oh, they also have coffee in the little waiting area. They kept my ancient Jetta running long after other mechanics had given up on it, too. Highly recommended!
