History
Established in 2013.
Executive Chef Joseph Canlas
Joe came to the US via our nation’s capital and studied the culinary arts at L’ Academie De Cuisine in Gaithersburg, MD from 1990 – 1992. Upon graduating, he worked as an apprentice for the late Chef Jean Louis Palladin at the Watergate Hotel and Chef Carrol Greenwood at the historic Tabard Inn, both in Washington DC. In 1998, he received his 1st management position as Sous Chef under Chef Patrick Bazin at The Occidental Grille on Pennsylvania Avenue right beside The White House. From 2004 to 2012, Joseph was Corporate Chef for Fountain Rock Restaurant Management Group in Frederick, MD, overseeing 4 units for the group. In 2012, Joe decided to move his family of a wife and three kids to California and run the kitchen of California’s oldest restaurant and San Francisco’s pride, Tadich Grill, established in 1849. Tadich was Joe’s home from 2012 to 2015, until he found this great opportunity in Indian Wells as Executive Chef of Vue Grille and Bar.
