Yum! This was fun, good food, excellent service, a bit pricey.

Visited during a business trip. Service was good but lechon asado was just ok. Coconut flan was pretty tasty.

Excellent in every regard. Service, atmosphere, food, drinks, bartender, etc. I’ve not been this impressed since Bologna. The best cordon bleu in my life and it was from a Cuban restaurant. Great people. Great time.

Top notch Cuban restaurant. I got the lechon asado with frijoles negra and flan. I am Cuban and like to compare to mine. The roast pork was moist, fantastic and gull of flavor. The beans were great and not dried out at all. Flan was like abuela made it!

I decided to give Cuban Island Restaurant 2 stars because the food was mediocre at best in terms of flavor and a 0 for overall experience! Let me start out by saying that I’m Latin and to me this restaurant is one of the biggest RIPOFFS in Brevard county! If you don’t mind paying $ 15 for a dinner plate that consists of 70% rice, 15% beans, and 15% meat then this is your place! This restaurant would not survive in a community where the majority of the population is Latin/Hispanic. For those out there that are looking for Cuban/Latin food look elsewhere. I live beachside and do not really like going over the bridge, but this place sucks and you can definitely get better food just by taking a drive into mainland.

Hard to find a decent restaurant in Melbourne area. FANTASTIC! Everything is authentic from the food to drinks. I thought I was in Cuba. You have to try the CUBAN Sampler. To die for… Sangria a and orange Mojitos fantastic too. Bet you can’t wait to get here. Congrats to the owner and team.

My family loves the food at Cuban Island! It is a must stop whenever we are in town from Orlando. The Bistec And Pechuga de Pollo Empanizado are both fantastic! The red wine sangria is a must. The restaurant is on the small side, so we would recommend making a reservation if you have a large party.

This is the best Cuban Restaurant in the MLB area! Prices — just right. Food — great. Setting — intimate with live must most nights. Hours — as with all places along A1A, they close TOO early.

I thought I would give this restaurant a try while working over here and thought the langosta asada looked quite appetizing. I was told when ordering it would take 20 – 25 minutes. 37 minutes later my food was ready. I am convinced they cooked the lobster for those extra 12 minutes because it was so overcooked I could not eat it. The black beans and rice were fair. The flan was the highlight and was quite exceptional. Excellent flavor and texture.

awesome Cuban coffee. Very rich and smooth. I felt like I was in Havana for the first time. A guitar player was just packing up while I sat down.

Yes this is as good as it gets in Brevard. The food is beautifully presented and tastes even better. The roasted pork is amazing, black beans perfect and the flan of man. Can’t wait to get back.

Great Cuban food and decently priced! Everything from fried yucca to empanadas to picadillo & ropa vieja. It was all to die for! Amanda was so accommodating and a wonderful server! We are definitely coming back and we are bringing family with us! PS: We had such a great dinner last night we have come back for lunch!

Outstanding — from their service, the atmosphere, to food quality and presentation. Started with homemade sangria, then toasted Cuban bread and spread. We had a pork Tamale for an appetizer shared between two as a guitarist played! My wife had Fajitas de Pollo with yellow rice and back beans and I had Lechon(pork) with white rice and both had the Madrid(sweet plantains) then more sangria. EVERYTHING was outstanding. Our server Danielle was friendly and prompt. We will be returning, for sure. Thank you Laz for this recommendation.

Best Cuban in the area. Period. We got lomo saltado and ropa vieja and both were really, really delicious. Service was top notch. Prices are a bit steep, but the portions are generous(we both had leftovers), so I’d say it’s worthwhile. We’ll be going back. … often!

One of only a handful of places in this county I would recommend to a friend or visitor. I frequent Cuban Island several times a week. I recently recommended this place to colleagues visiting from the UK after dreading trying to provide my guests with a decent place to dine in Melbourne. Suffice to say, Cuban Island saved the day, and they were thoroughly impressed with their meals! The Stella is cold and served in a frosty chalice, which is muy perfecto after a day at the beach. The lechon asada with black beans and sweet plantains is my go to dish, and is some of the best north of Havana. The ceviche is excellent, bright and fresh, and I wouldn’t order that from just anywhere, this is legit… The Cuban sandwich is the real deal, and even the complimentary pressed cuban bread with freshly prepared house-made sautéed onion habenero sauce accompaniment is something to write home about. To add to it, the ambiance is simple yet chic and clean, and the service is one of my favorite attributes. I would rarely take the time to write a review of this high praise but it’s deserving of such. This is great place to go and have a truly relaxing meal without any hassle, and leave completely satisfied.
