My wife and I are less than satisfied with this Starbucks. We stopped by around 6:30 am on January 2, 2016. Both of the employees seemed put out that we were keeping them from stocking the shelves. I ordered an Americano, and my wife ordered the flat white, which was one of her free drinks for getting her 12 stars. After realizing she forgot to ask for and extra shot in her drink, she asked if she could add it… the barista promptly rolled her eyes. And gave a loud exasperated sigh. Eager to get back on the road, we decided to let it go. My wife mentioned quite loudly that the barista was obviously annoyed with her. The barista said something like, «Sorry I was annoyed, it’s just that I already made the drink.» As if it’s so hard to add a shot of espresso. Not great customer service for anyone, let alone a gold card member.

Obviously the«baristas» don’t understand that their position is customer service based, at least that’s the vibe I got when no one said thank you.

Stopped in tonight to buy gift cards. I wanted to be able to reload the cards but wasn’t sure how that worked. Christina waited on me and very patiently explained the ap I could put on my phone. Pulled it up for me on my phone and helped me load all 4 cards so I could add money throughout the year. All my cards I am gifting are for people out of state and I want to add money throughout the year. What great customer service Starbucks, she is a keeper!!!

I was in the 39th street Independence, Missouri location today(9÷12÷15). Having only visited Starbucks a few times in the past few months, I am «new» to the coffee-world and Starbucks. Being the mother of a few young kids, it was nice to have a babysitter for a few hours and thought going to have a cup of coffee with my husband would be fun. We arrived around 8:30 am. A few people were in the store but no one was in line, they were all at tables. I approached the register. The worker was a younger girl with glasses and a black ponytail. I explained to her that I haven’t been in Starbucks much and asked her for suggestions on a cold coffee-style drink. She looked at me like I was dumb. She said«well we have iced coffee». I said«do you have something cold and different you’d suggest?» She replies(still looking at me like I’m dumb) «different than what?» I say«I don’t know, something different than iced coffee». She says, very smugly, «there’s a menu right there». By them there was a man behind me. She says«can I help you sir?» She made me feel extremely unwelcome and stupid. I couldn’t believe it. I went to Scooters coffee the other day and the barista was such a joy. Asked me what flavors I liked, etc. so helpful. Is this part of the culture or environment of Starbucks and I’m not aware of it? She wasn’t busy. She was rude, dismissing and embarrassed me. I was kind, smiling and truly wanted a little help with the whole process. I would be grateful if this email could be forwarded to the manager of that store. Is this just«a Starbucks thing». Some stores just have a reputation of being that way. It really put a damper on my morning and just gave me a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I felt and feel very unwelcome at that location. I gave it two stars instead of one only because the drink I CHOSE was good. I contacted corporate. They sent me a $ 5 gift card. I didn’t contact them to be reimbursed, so that was a nice gesture, however I was disappointed that the store manager never contacted me to follow up.

Went in for my low calorie tea. Decided to try the new Cupcake Frappuccino today. Amazing! My husband almost drank it all before I got to it.

This location turned my bad morning around into an awesome day. I was greeted immediately and was helped with new promotional items they had. I wish I had gotten that name of my barista so I could mention him here(tall male with blondish hair). I felt welcomed(even though I was wearing a 49ers shirt in Chiefs country). I gave him my name to put on my cup but he wrote ‘9ers Fan’ instead, lol!

Great place to grab a drink on your way to work or meet a friend for coffee. It’s almost always busy but they’re really organized and keep the line moving while getting the orders out right. The parking lot sucks but that’s not their fault.

My drink was great! The guy that helped me was great and very peppy while getting our order which is always nice to see, BUT don’t expect to stay in the building to hang out with a friend or do some work… I was there hanging out with a friend while drinking our coffee and I couldn’t even hear her talking because there was a man yelling behind the counter! This man had a VERY loud voice. Every time someone walked in, he’d singing to them. Every time someone ordered, he’d yell out their order. Every time the drink was ready, he’d obnoxiously yell out their name and drink, even if he knew they were right there. I know I wasn’t the only one staring at him waiting for him to stop. I’m serious when I say, I couldn’t hear the friend talking and there where times when we had to wait for him to stop yelling before continuing the conversation. It was charming at first, but obnoxious for the people in there. I’ve always gone to Starbucks as a pretty quiet place to get work done or a place to grab a coffee and hang out, but WOW… This was the worse experience ever.

I love this Starbucks… It’s close to home and my drinks are always made well. However; I must say that Nick is a little too much to handle. Very loud and obnoxious. I can’t imagine being one of the customers in there trying to work, read or study. Glad I could get out of there quickly!

Its not bad, service can be better… BUT…i am satisfied with the coffee. I frankly wish they would move to a better location because getting in or out of their parking lot, let alone parking can be an experience in itself

I came here because I was babysitting and the girls wanted coffee. I figured as long as I didn’t have to get them to sleep, they can have all the caffeine and sugar they want. Of course they got the fancy frappuccinos and cake pops and cheesecake, and they loved every bit of it. I got the caramel apple spice because I don’t care for coffee, but I love apples and caramel and it was delicious. I didn’t realize it came with whipped cream until I took a sip, so next time I would be careful to request none. The young girl working the register wasn’t the friendliest person in the word, and $ 14 for three drinks and two desserts is not something I can afford very often. But coffee is coffee is coffee and Starbucks isn’t so bad in the long run.

My neighborhood Starbucks. I’m didnt think I was a regular since my normal routine takes me through the drive thru every other Saturday morning but the barista’s have terrific memories and take care of me every time! Took me awhile to warm up to the new store after we moved a few years ago but the staff seems to have stabalized and they finally got breakfast offerings awhile back. The sometimes forget to turn their sign on first thing in the morning so it doesnt appear open when they are. They have good outdoor seating, nice comfy seats inside and of course it always smells amazing. For a non-NW Starbucks, this shop does a good job :)

I like this location. It is handy, and I like the staff. The coffee is Starbucks, which I’m not anti Starbucks. When I need a caffeine lift(of a latte), this is one of my places. There are out side seating, and comfortable inside seating with both tables and comfy chairs. It is quiet, and usually there’s a few people with laptops checking their Facebook status. It is a clean location, and the pastries and snacks are fresh. I like everything about this place. It’s comfortable, the food is good, and the lattes and frozen mochas are really good.(large, blended white chocolate, caramel, calorie filled mocha)… This isn’t as close as another Starbucks, but it’s worth a little more of a drive. Reading these other reviews, I can’t say much different than what anyone else has said.

I’d like to preface my review by saying that I rate coffee shops/houses more on atmosphere and customer service than I do on the taste of my drink and how it is prepared. I’ll take a bad drink served with a friendly smile over a great drink served by disgruntled employee. Also, I don’t look at the name on the store. There are good and bad Starbucks just as there are good and bad independents. This is one of the larger Starbucks in the metro area. It’s not plaza big with the plaza hustle and bustle but it’s not tiny either. Seating is plentiful and quite often you are able to get one of the four comfortable lounge chairs. Staff is friendly but doesn’t over do it. Outdoor seating is offered. Each drink I’ve had at this store has been made well.

I particularly like this location because they ALWAYS have a notebook on the pick-up counter with some witty question for you to write your own answer. I love it! Friendly staff. one girl always compliments my earrings. They seem enthusiastic and talkative. Location is clean. Bathrooms are clean. My favorite Starbucks location!

I am very anti-Starbucks, but this is the one Starbucks I don’t mind going to. During half price frapp week, they were more that happy to mix up my concoctions: a strawberry/green tea frapp and a chai/strawberry frapp. The atmosphere is peaceful. I love relaxing here with a crossword puzzle.
