This apartment complex was the WORST excuse for«housing» I’ve ever seen in my life. Managed by Pacific Point Properties, this place was a complete disaster. Infested with spiders and termites, it wasn’t clean, well repaired, or worth my time. The apartments themselves were plenty spacious, but they were in such disrepair something was breaking every other day. And did I mention they charge by the hour to come in and fix things? That’s right. If it breaks, regardless of what it is, it’s YOUR responsibility to fix it. Both bathrooms in our unit were covered in mold and mildew when we moved in, and even though we reported it, they never took care of it. I had to do it myself. Certain things that I reported a YEAR prior, were still not fixed, things such as a working thermostat in my bedroom during the winter months. The caulking on every possible surface was peeling, and falling apart. Water was seeping under the panelling in BOTH bathrooms, causing obvious mold to build up, but in a place no one could do anything about it. It would take upwards of 4 – 6 phone calls to get anything fixed, and that’s assuming the maintenance man or the person in the office spoke fluent enough english to understand what you were even saying. 80% of the electrical outlets in the apartment didn’t work, and when we had a phone land line installed, NONE of the phone jacks work. California state law REQUIRES the landlord to have at least one working jack in the apartment. So when I had it repaired, they were suppose to pay the bill/refund me. Guess what? They refused. So I had to foot the bill that they were legally obligated to pay. The laundry room was a joke. Half of the machines didn’t work, and the ones that did, it was $ 1.25 per wash/dry cycle, so two loads of laundry cost $ 5. What a rip! There was no outgoing mail box on the premises at all, so if you wanted to mail something you had to either play«catch the mailman» or walk/drive 3 blocks up the street to the mailbox to send something out. The pool? There is no pool. They decided it was cheaper to fill it with dirt and turn it into«landscaping» rather than fix the broken filter. The reading room? Hasn’t been opened in years. The saunas? The women’s sauna won’t unlock for anything, and the men’s sauna was absolutely revolting. There is no security on the building. The front«fire escape» doors don’t have alarms on them. Instead they have handles where anybody and their brother can just walk into the building. This made me feel SO secure, considering the number of fist fights and other forms of violence I witnessed on the street in front of the apartment. There’s also no ventilation in the building. No fans, no furnaces, no nothing. If you want airflow, you either have to leave your front door open, or put a fan in the window to force the air to circulate. There is no air conditioning, and no light fixtures in any main room of the house. The plumbing was also in such bad shape that the water in the whole building was shut off upwards of three times a week, for indeterminate amounts of time between 9am and 5pm. Good luck trying to do your dishes/laundry/shower/etc on those days. Then, outside of the building, you have the parking lots, which are so small that if you drive a full size vehicle, it won’t fit in the spaces properly. We have at least 12 new MASSIVE dents in the side of our vehicle because of the people parking next to us who seemed to not care that they were slamming their car doors open into ours. We now have over a thousand dollars in body/paint work we have to do to our car to get it repaired. And have I mentioned the fact that the company that this apartment complex uses for towing tows cars illegally? Yup, that’s right. We had our car illegally towed because it was«too close to other cars». Yeah, point that law out to me, if you’d please… Overall, this place is complete garbage. I wouldn’t live here again if you PAID me rent. This place needs to be condemned, torn down, and rebuilt. It’s an eye sore, and in such bad shape, they’d have to do a complete remodel in order to fix all the nonsense that’s wrong with it. DON’T MOVEINHERE!!!
