Rocky Mountain Whitewater Rafting

Awesome experience! I was definitely nervous, as this was my first rafting trip. Guide Ron gave clear safety and technical instruction throughout the scenic trip. We all stayed in the raft and learned of the many sites along the way. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone seeking a fun activity.

It was my first time whitewater rafting I was a nervous wreck. It was so amazing, the drive up there was scenic and beautiful. The rafting was so much fun, all my fears were calmed and I had a blast. The instructor was amazing and down to earth the staff was friendly and informative. It was overall an unforgettable experience I recommend it to any and all.

This was a great time! On the intermediate one the first two Rapids were the worst. I was thinking after that what did I get myself into lol. But after those it was pretty easy. I wish they would have told us that up front. Otherwise the guides were knowledgeable and a good time

Our first time white water rafting and we had a great experience! The guides took sufficient time to go over safety, and provided us with wet suits and helmets.
During our trip, the guide Jason, did a great job of instructing us down the river and was very friendly and informative about the area. Our group stayed afloat the whole trip. We also took a pit stop along the creek for a nice swim.

First of all, we did not anticipate the dead stop traffic all the way from Breck to Idaho Springs when we headed to our Sunday 4:30PM rafting trip. When we called to let them know we were running extremely late expecting they would cancel our trip not only did they help offer some shortcuts that saved 30 – 45 mins but when we arrived an hour late they told us not to worry that they were there for us! Amazing service! Obviously it is best for everyone to be on time and next time we will leave at least an hour earlier;)
They then proceeded to take all of the necessary time, without us feeling rushed at all, to review safety procedures and outfit us all with quality wetsuits and safety gear. The rafting was fast paced and a blast and our guide even included interesting stories/​facts along the way.
It was a great time for our whole group from adults to teenagers to little kids just 6, 7 and 10!
I’ve been rafting a number of times and was very impressed with Rocky Mountain Whitewater Rafting. They only hire very experienced guides and you feel safe the whole time. They have set a new bar for customer experience!!!

Overall a great experience! Excellent for any age or level. Ron was a great guide and kept us all above water. We saw other companies with guides not as well trained having their rafters go over.

I took my family for a morning run a couple of years ago and loved it! We had so much fun that we decided to do the afternoon run and moved it up a notch. They were full, but managed to find a guide in the last minute to help us out. Both guides were a lot of fun. They provided a feeling of safety and comic relief.
Caution: It took days to get the smiles off our faces. We have the pictures to prove it. We are going back this week for more fun!

Took our girls (10 & 16) on the beginner class 2 – 3, for their 1^st experience and they loved it. Our guide Mike, was great! Highly recommend!

We had a great time with Bullfrog, he made our beginner trip fun. Can’t wait to go back again and try the intermediate. We loved his lunch recommendation Smokin’ Yards BBQ.

Bullfrog was an excellent guide. The perfect mixture of humor and tough love! Perfect way to spend Independence Day!

I’m the biggest ‘fraidy cat ever, but the beginner rafting here is amazing! Fun for kids, Troy is the best and most knowledgeable guide ever, and even the guy who drives the van is super-​cool. Don’t forget to say hi to Tasha for me, the shop mascot. Overall, an awesome experience. Eat at Beau Joe’s when you are done, and grab a cold one from Tommy Knockers. Perfect Colorado day.

My wife and I were looking for a fun way to end our last day in Colorado so we decided to go white water rafting. Out of all the places we looked at, we landed on Rocky Mountain Water Rafting. I was nervous because the only thing closest to rafting I had was a float trip with a youth group I helped with a couple summers ago.
When my wife and I arrived, we were greeted by Ron, who I was convinced was a grown-​up Otto from Rocket Power, who was also our raft guide. He was really awesome about informing the newbie (me) about what to expect out in the water and what to do if the raft was tipping over. He has been doing this for 18 years, he told us, which showed out on the rapids as he called out commands to help us navigate the rapids as they got more crazy.
There was an instant where my wife and I were knocked out of the raft (I thought swimming was a good idea) but our guide acted quickly and got us both back in the raft and did a good job of calming us down before we continued.
The trip was fun, despite the one of moment of nearly having my head hit a few rocks, and I really look forward to hitting up Idaho Springs whenever we visit to go rafting.
