We stayed in the Governor’s Room. Not sure which governor would ever want to stay there. It was very dated and cramped. I don’t think anything has been remodeled since it opened. The complimentary breakfast was disgusting!!! There was no real food– just processed foods. Definitely won’t be back!

Very nice. I got the room with TripAdvisor. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was courteous and nice to deal with. There was a separate vanity area, which I don’t see very often. One oddity, there is a phone installed above the toilet, I have never seen that before. There is free Wi-Fi and the signal is very good in my room. I was lucky to get this room. There were no rooms available in Yellowstone, or West Yellowstone and very few in Idaho Falls. There were two rooms available and I got the second to last one. Quite a few people came in as I did my check in and they were turned away due to have no rooms.

Stayed here for business and didn’t have a good experience. The internet is non-existent. The breakfast consisted of canned fruit, french toast sticks that seemed like they came from a cardboard type material, and there was a sign up that noted a significant egg shortage in the area(would it really be that hard to go get some at a local store, and let’s be honest, the reason they didn’t do that is because their normal M.O. is microwaving frozen or liquid egg blends). Like most hotels from the 20th century, the electric receptacles are broken, in an area that isn’t useful, or are clogged up as a fire hazard behind the bed. If I stay in a hotel in IF again, it will be a chain and I’ll cross my fingers.

Spent the night there with the family while passing through. the view outside is great. They have their own private bridge that you can go to the Idaho Falls. Adam at the front desk was very helpful and very positive. Would recommend staying here.

The best thing about Le Ritz was how friendly and accommodating the front desk staff was and how their service was SUPERB. The reason why it’s getting a 3 star is mainly for the service we received. We would’ve gladly given a 5 star if the suite we stayed in had wifi access or even dial up Internet for that matter and comfy beds! The only place we could access hit and miss wifi was in the downstairs portion next to the lobby but if we ventured upstairs towards our room the wifi was lost. We were even given a cable to hook our laptop to the dial up router and that didn’t work either. Kind of frustrating when we need to follow up on work emails or school. The suite was nice and clean but the bed, couch, and furniture is super out dated and OLD. Our bed was a lumpy king size bed with large indentations in it. Which made it difficult to sleep. It’s definitely time for some new bedroom furniture and pull out couches in the suites, just from a comfortability standpoint not from an appearance standpoint. The river view balcony and private gate to the falls is pretty awesome. Loved that there was a sink and mini fridge plus dishes, utensils, and dish soap that’s always a plus. Hopefully, Le Ritz will vamp up the accommodations and have extended wifi service as we would love to give them a 5 star rating next time we pass through.

Great stay! We had the Temple View Suite. Very nice room! Doubles as a ADA room. Has two bathrooms, one with tub, shower, toilet and one with ADA shower and toilet. Separate living room with love seat/sofa sleeper, fireplace, table, desk, refrigerator, and microwave. The only recommendation I would give is to have a regular size couch for more comfort. You can’t stretch out on a love seat. We would definitely stay again.

I have to say this hotel was awesome! For a great price we had a huge room over looking the river.

By hotel critics/snobs standard, this hotel is by no mean a 5-star hotel based on their criteria, but for me this hotel deserves this rating based on the cleanliness, value, and service. I found this hotel on and I called the hotel inquiring about the rate as I thought that I could get a better rate. The guy that answered the phone gave me a rate that was higher than what quoted. When I asked if he could match the price, he said he could. About half an hour after I made the call, my family was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who also answered my call earlier. I showed him the quote that I found online and he discounted the rate to match it. He gave us a room with 2 double beds. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The front desk guy even recommended a nice restaurant for dinner. I also like that breakfast and free wifi(although a bit slow) were included in the price.

Clean, quiet… location not in high traffic area but in low traffic business district; friendly accommodating staff; excellent serve-yourself breakfast in spacious lobby/common area 6:00 — 10:00 a.m. A reviewer said breakfast was not good, which makes us wonder what they expected. We ate 9:00 with no shortages of food items, no waiting in self serve line, &adequate seating. Staff continually restocking buffet choices, cleaning tables, counters, spills, etc. Many choices including oatmeal, biscuits wi sausage gravy, cook your own belgian waffles wi toppings; yogurt &toppings, e.g. raisins, granola, brown sugar;hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, home baked pastries, tropical fruit(canned) & fresh apples, oranges, bananas, home baked pastries, varied cold cereal choices, coffee, cocoa, milk, juices… sure they don’t have bacon, ham, or sausage links nor do they have a menu or wait staff, but neither was there any question about what you would be getting or waiting to be served. If looking for fine dining at breakfast go to a restaurant & pay price for that experience. The is a nonsmoking hotel, however they do have 2 smoking rooms for those who can’t control their addiction. When you check in tell them you don’t want to be near the smoking area. They will accommodate your request. Initially given a room next to smoking with typical musty some odor, but they happily gave us different room. Upscale furnishings, good water pressure & plenty of hot. Great value for cost.

Mixed about this place. Complimentary breakfast was a 5. The indoor pool a 4, only because I don’t like indoor pool. Nice and clean room, but the smell of the room and a little mold in the bathroom gives it a 3. The staff was all nice, and the little higher price

Perhaps it was the length of time on the road… or the extended period in the frigid Idaho backcountry but Le Ritz has been a mainstay for me for the past 4 years when work takes me to SE Idaho. They have good prices(gov’t and winter rate = 70 $/night), clean sheets and are located close to to the Brownstone Brewery on Lindsay Street. Decent breakfast spread(starting at 6am) with the slightly strange hotel eggs, meat stock, potatoes and biscuits/sausage gravy, fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc. Gets food in you and out the door with minimal screwing around. They are crazy nice at the front desk… to the point that they have called me in my room 10 minutes after checking in and seeing if everything was to my satisfaction. Yeah, winking at you purple shirt ;) If you’re in Idaho Falls and needing a place to land, this one has been good to me and chances are, will be good to you.

So, I think people often get confused and translate Unilocal star ratings to hotel star ratings, and I want to make it clear that’s not the case here. Le Ritz is not a 4-star hotel. But it is a 4-star hotel experience for its class and price. At only $ 115/night, I landed a king room with a really nice river view and got to bring my large dog with me. The room is decently spacious, if not oddly configured(a narrow hallway leads to nowhere, with a small bathroom off the end of it). And the property is very clean and smells suspiciously of cinnamon and bubble gum. I can’t decide if that’s a good thing or not, but given that the pet rooms could otherwise smell like dander, I’ll take it. The front desk reservationist was really friendly — very interested in what brought me into town, what kind of dog I had, etc. And the aforementioned proximity to the river was a plus, since Le Ritz has private bridge access to the pathway(but don’t walk at dusk — gnats — ew!). All in all, great value.
