Coco Libre is an earth-​friendly and socially conscious boutique, launched in October 2013. The physical shop is located in the heart of the Hyattsville Arts District in Maryland, 2 miles from the DC city line.

We are fans of vintage clothing, not only because the pieces are unique, but because it is environmentally responsible. Vintage is recycling! Every vintage piece you buy is being saved from a landfill. With an average of 11.8 million tons of clothing per year getting thrown away, you can rest easy knowing you won’t be making a 68 pound contribution to that number like the average American does.

Coco Libre also believes in fair trade. These items can be anything from tea and coffee to earrings and bracelets. Fair trade simply means that the producers of the goods, who mostly live in developing countries, are justly compensated for their products. They are able to make a living wage from their work.
