I have been going to the office of Dr. McQueen now for 3 years. It’s about an hour away from where I live, but I always get an appointment when it’s convenient for ME and I am in and out in less than an hour without feeling like I’m being rushed — my exams are very thorough. When I am purchasing contacts or glasses, I am always given the best possible prices I can get with my insurance and/​or any other promotions going on at the time and explained what I am getting as a benefit of my insurance.
The only (for lack of a better word) «complaint» I have is the limited glass frame selection. However, this will not keep me away.

I like Dr McQueen, enough to travel well out of my way to return to his office. I’ve been to see him three or four times for my eye exams and have always been pleased with the results.
Initially I went to him a few years ago because I needed a new glasses prescription and his office was convenient at the time. I continue to visit him because I like the very thorough exam I receive from his friendly technician and him, the up-​to-​date equipment in his office (no dilated eyes!) including a magic laser exam that shows everything going on in your eyes! His office is located within the Lenscrafters at the euphemistically named «Festival Mall» right on Iyannough Road in Hyannis. You won’t see the (strip) Mall from the street, and the office is at the entrance next to the Pier One, so plenty of close parking most days.
What keeps me from giving 5-​stars is the check in procedure, where the staff person recited my name, phone and full address loudly enough for another waiting patient to sit up and take notice, only to greet me by name when I sat down to wait. I would expect that while HIPPA rules may not apply to an eye exam, simple common sense would, and the staff could minimize the privacy invasion. Otherwise, pretty simple and polite check in and out. I’ll be back.

I had not been to an Optometrist in many years and did not have an Dr in this area. I had an issue renewing my drivers license and needed an eye exam right away. I walked into Dr. McQueen’s office (no appointment) and was seen immediately. The staff was great the exam very thorough and I was on my way with a prescription for new glasses within 1−½ hours. I now have an Optometrist! Thanks you for the great customer service!
