Food is mediocre. Atmosphere is smoking. Owners treat their staff poorly. This establishment does not deserve your patronage.

This is your average bar. People are averagely friendly and a mix. You haven’t quite left central Texas in Hutto. They close at 12am which is unfortunate. Johnny is nice but can be a bit short if rushed. I’ve never really bothered to have the food. There is a long bar to sit at if you don’t want a table and plenty of tables. Drinks are reasonably priced. If I lived in Hutto this would be my regular. All the wait staff over the years has been great except for one bar back but he didn’t seem to last.

Love this place. People are friendly, beer is cold and the food isn’t pretentious don’t expect a hipster attitude you won’t find it here, what you will find is a return to normalcy it may feel a bit out of place in this age of gluten free gmo peanut free society and don’t let the smoke scare you but it’s an all are welcome attitude where it’s ok to say HELLO

My husband and I went in. Sat down and waited but no one came over to the table. Strike 1: I had to go to the bartender to order. Strike 2: I was informed that they don’t sell frozen drinks. Now if you look on the sign outside it reads«full bar». So I settled for a margarita on the rocks.(I love frozen margaritas). Strike 3: This drink was so nasty that we left it on the table. Paid out and went down the road to the place where the frozen margaritas are awesome and the staff make you feel like family. NOONE spoke to us. They just stared and made me feel uncomfortable. Won’t be going back.

Want a good hamburger check them out. I had good service here with no problems. Only place I know where you can get a burger and onion rings with a drink for $ 7.00.

Neat little dive bar & grill to stop at when passing through Hutto. They are known for their burgers, however, I didn’t try one as the kitchen is closed on Sundays. So my friend and I stopped here on our way through and we were greeted by one of the locals which gave it a welcoming vibe. Then the bartender, Johnnie was on the spot to take our order, she gave us the lowdown on the place and explained why there was a HUGE stuffed hippo head on the wall(yikes! Not my thing) but she was super sweet, informative and right there to help if i happened to look her direction. She conversated with us quite a bit actually as we were the«new people on the block» so to speak. Personally, I wouldnt advise listening to other reviewers, saying she’s rude because she is the furthest thing from rude, I can only imagine that it was bartender/waitress rivalry so I’d consider the source. I would definitely recommend stopping in when passing through for a burger and beer!

Best burger I had in a long time! Super fresh and tasty beef patty too! Don’t be shy so order a beer and burger and smoke until your lungs get tired. Loved it!

This is the coolest place to hang out in Hutto. The beer is cold, they have various shot specials about every hour, and the food is killer! The bartenders are cool to talk to as well. Especially Jonny-the pretty girl and Aaron-the dude with the knarely beard. Each time I go there me and my husband meet lots of cool people to hang with. I’ve been to the other bars here and this one is the only one I would recommend. BTW, if you go to a bar you should probably expect people are going to want to smoke. And if your a bartender on the next block over, why are you coming here instead of your place? Just saying…

Honestly, I don’t think i would ever return to this bar. First off, I want to state that i have worked in the service industry for 8+ years, and when i was approached by the bartender Jonny(a girl), i asked her what kinds of bottled beers they had and she said these exact words. «We have way too many beers from me to go through them.» i then looked at my friends i was with confused, and said ok. give me a ziegen. Oh and on another note, this place allows smokers to smoke inside the bar, which is SOGROSS and unsanitary especially when you serve food! The ice that was made with my shot was chunky so when i took my shot, i had chunks of ice going down my throat. To finish, I would just like to say that Jonny needs a better attitude and her knowing i work at the bar down the street from them isn’t very nice. The only way id come back here is if my friends made me. Id rather drink at my own place of employment when i know I’m gonna get great service. Jonny was a total B, just saying!

Perfect. The way an old fashioned, proper burger should be. Perfectly charred(huge) half pound burger patty from the griddle, toasted bun and whatever else you want on it. Tip: this burger does not need any cheese. The existing flavors and textures of the meat, bun and fixins are just right. Bring your appetite but also be prepared to ingest lots and lots of 2nd hand smoke. This place is a cigarette smokers haven. I never thought I would say this, but this burger is worth the damage to my lungs.

I love the burgers. However don’t go there anymore because of the smokiness. It is very unhealthy and excludes more people than it attracts as a result. Get real. I can get a good burger elsewhere.

I finally stopped in after driving by several times, and it was great. It was not too smokey(I was there around 5pm and I do not smoke), and the bartender was nice and friendly. My burger was really good, ham slices on top of a ½ pound patty, all the way… fries were cooked nicely too. I had a $ 2 lonestar and watched traffic simmer down, and then drove home. People were friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. I’ll be back!

Too smokey and very divey. It’s within walking distance to my house so I really wanted to like it!

Too smokey. I like the flaming Dr. Pepper, but I will go to the Downtown Hall of Fame over Snuffy’s any day.

I’m giving 5 stars for the burger. The burger is exactly what you’d want for a bar burger. Half pound patty, amble toppings. Great with a Lone Star. The ambiance is a mixed bag. It’s a small, smoky, somewhat loud little bar. Not really family friendly, but that’s not going to hurt my review.

Nice little bar for lunch. The burger baskets are good value and the bartender is great. Not too smokey at lunchtime but sometimes the jukebox can get a bit loud.

Burgers are big, but dry, no flavor, no seasoning… its not no Frans or Dans burger. Good deal on the basket though.

Snuffy’s Bar and Grill has gone from great to not so great to great again… I’m a fan of their food and love the bar, but the smoking allowed inside is just too much for the little building to handle. If the smoke levels were better this place would be an easy five star establishment, but being allergic to smoke, it gets just four from me. The old Snuffy’s I used to eat at regularly when I moved to Hutto in 2004 wasn’t smoky, why does the new and improved Snuffy’s have to be? Install something to filter the air better and you’ll see more locals return.
