Mikk had his first interaction with photography in the eighth grade when his industrial technology class spent 6 weeks learning to operate a manual 35 mm, develope the one strip of film and make prints from those images. From then on it has been an ever growing obsession. Through the instruction some incredibly talented mentors and taking the time to hone his skills and feel confident that he was providing a quality product that was also creative, before starting a business and charging clients. So it was in 2002 that he felt not only qualified but also with a passionate approach to capturing such a special moment in the client’s lives. Evolving with the ever growing and changing technology of the photographic world, Mikk combines the lessons of old traditions and the modern photo journalistic styles to create unique images that capture the beauty and personalities of his subjects.
