Hurst Tire & Service

I went to this shop only because it was close to where I work. I had a nail in my back tire on the drivers side. I was loosing air and wanted it to be plugged. I have not had good experiences with goodyear service centers in the past, but didn’t have time to go any where else.
I went early in the morning, knowing it would be quick. The gentleman that took care of me was pleasant. I asked how much it would cost to plug the tire and I was told about $ 15.00. Ok that’s fair. So, I told him to go ahead. He came back in a couple of minutes later and told me because of dry rot the tire could not be plugged and had to be replaced. I told them to do it the most inexpensive way he could and it cost me $ 149.00. Not happy! Anyway, as I was cashing out, he said that I might want to think about replacing the other 3 tires, because of dry rot. I told him I had two tires replaced less than a year ago, when I had the vehicle inspected. His comment to me was, Oh, he must not have looked close.
That is exactly the problems I have had with them before. Trying to sell things that I don’t need. I got the feeling because I was a woman he thought he could get more money out of me. They got enough to begin with. I should have went somewhere else, but because i was in a hurry I didn’t.
I am not one to write reviews, but women be prepared if you go to this shop, for them to try to sell you things you don’t need.
