I prefer this spot over others for the sheer simple fact that it’s the most practical set up. Yes, there aren’t any cute claw tubs or a boutique «spa» feel. But they have warm water hose, shampoos, towels, scrubby combs, blow dryer, cotton swabs & ear cleaner for their 3 self wash stations. They even thought of aprons and the layout allows the dog to shake up against the shower wall as opposed to yourself and all over your neighbor! Very functional and convenient location with plenty of parking. I like their industrial length hair catcher thing that sits in the drains. I wish I had one for myself! Lol plus all for $ 15 with the check in deal? It’s a steal! It’s very large breed friendly. But they also have a grooming service for the lil prissy poochies too!

The is a great spot to take your pet for grooming, cleaning, etc. Very friendly team with immaculate facilities and you can tell they care about your pet.

Great place very friendly staff, very convenient they provided towels, brushes all the basic items for your dog bath, and most important the place is very clean! I highly recommend this place.

Very good. Mike was awesome. $ 15 self serve. Everything is there for the bath! Areal tub with at an anti-​fatigue mat my Doug loved it since his paws didn’t go through the openings of some metals this is a real tub.

As for the grooming, the doggie spa is really good. I am always satisfied with the look of my dog when I go to pick her up. However, I noticed a trend every time I call to schedule an appointment, the receptionist tend to be very pushy with adding more to what I want. I call just for a basic bath and groom, and they always try to add more to my bill. It has happened quite a bit that I end up looking for other grooming salons because of this. The doggie spa used to be my number 1 go to place for my very spoiled doggie, but recently I have been turned off by the pressure of the receptionists, I was willing to pay $ 35, what I regularly pay but I end up with a $ 75 bill instead, for an 8 lb dog thats too much.

This review is for the self service dog wash — I like the concept and the spot! Mike (owner) super nice, not a fan of the kid at the front desk, but whatever.
Make sure to upgrade and get the blueberry shampoo and shed-​less conditioner!

Went here last minute because my boyfriend’s husky hasn’t had a bath for a month and since I got off work early I decided to take her in for a bath. I ended up having to use self service because I came around 5pm but that was okay with me because it was only $ 10. The only sucky thing about it is that you have to pay $ 4 extra just to use the conditioner they have there. And also, the shampoo that is complimentary was pretty much just watered down shampoo… like extremely watered down. I ended up using my own shampoo and buying their ridiculously priced $ 4 conditioner, which by the way was also watered down.

My sister and I went to The Doggie Spa with our 80 lb Siberian Husky over a month ago and loved the self-​serve facility. Since Kodiak has a lot of fur and sheds incessantly, it took us quite a bit of time to bathe and blow dry him, but after an hour and a half, he was so soft and clean! Mike, the owner, was extremely helpful. He provided us with tips on the proper bathing of dogs since we’ve always done it incorrectly. The best part of The Doggie Spa was not having to clean up the mess after Kodiak was spotless!
I recommend bringing an extra pair of hands to help you if you’re bathing a large dog. If you can, try using the middle tub so you can use multiple blow-​dryers – of course, this is assuming you come at a time when the tubs are unoccupied. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner if you want, otherwise generic shampoo is provided along with brushes, towels, blower-​dryer, ear-​cleaner and cotton balls.
Highly recommended! If you need help, just ask because the staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable!

the tub is up high so I didn’t have to do that much bending! the previous review wrote how it was too high but it was beneficial in my opinion.
I have a husky and left the place like it was a white wonderland. they cleaned it all up, I felt so bad but the owner didn’t mind the mess! so nice!

Great place to get your dog groomed. Mike the owner is friendly and truly cares about his customer’s dogs. My lovely Lightning has several issues with his skin and he is afraid of the blow dryer’s noise. The groomer is so good to him, she takes care of my boy. I will highly recommend you to bring your dog to the Doggie Spa!

I recently took in my chocolate lab and German Shepherd for grooming. The girls from the time we walked in were very kind and informative. We were very pleased with their work when we returned a few hours later to pick them both up. I would definitely recommend them and trust them with dogs again!

Although I told Mike — the owner — that the only review I’d ever write about the Doggie Spa would be a positive one, I have to be honest, I didn’t have a great experience — twice.
Before I brought my chihuahua mix for the first time to the Doggie Spa, I was quoted $ 37.00 for grooming and a cut over the phone. Upon dropping him off, I was greeted by a very nice lady who was trying very hard to up-​sell. She offered that I add on de-​shedding, teeth cleaning and other things like special shampoo. In the moment, I didn’t realize that she was offering me these things for an additional price besides the teeth cleaning. She told me they were running a special and it would be $ 8. A few hours later when I came back to get my dog, the total came out to be $ 70. I was shocked. I asked for a breakdown in services and they told me that every item had its own charge and that the original quoted price of $ 37 was only for the wash. I left pretty disappointed and in hindsight I should’ve asked for the manager while I was there, but my dog looked really nice, so I figured I should pay for it and just swear to never come back.
Feeling wronged, I called the Doggie Spa and told them that I had an issue with the way communication was handled. Mike contacted me and he was very understanding with the situation and reassured me that he would tell his employees to be upfront with pricing. He also offered a complimentary wash for next time. I appreciated the phone call and conversation, so I told him that I would leave a good review.
About a month later, I returned to give it a second try. Although I had not met Mike in person, he was at the front desk and I could tell that he recognized me from our conversation. He didn’t say hi or strike up any conversation. He seemed quiet and some what annoyed. I dropped my dog off and added de-​shedding. They did not offer any other services. A few hours later I came to get my dog and although he was clean, they did not trim his paw fur and his nails were still long. I was unsure if they did any of the basic grooming things, but since it was complimentary, I didn’t ask. Upon leaving, Mike told me that I didn’t owe anything and that I was free to go. I tipped them and Mike still didn’t try to converse with me — so awkward! I left feeling really uneasy and unfortunately, dissatisfied — again.
I really wanted to like the Doggie Spa, because it’s so close to home, but how can I support a business that made me feel tricked and uncomfortable? I have been in the customer service industry for a long time and the golden rule is to never let customers leave unhappy. They did a good job with my dog’s haircut, but I’m the one who is paying for it. I will sadly not be returning to the Doggie Spa.

Good price for do it your self. But its not exactly large dog friendly. They need a bath closer to the floor so that I can bring my 136 pound lap Labrador. They have ladder to help the dogs get in, but my big Guy always gets so scared. The people that work there are always very friendly though. Although I would not recommend their anal gland releasing service, they dont fully release them like your vet might.

Love this place for a self serve wash for my dog! If you go during ‘Yappy Hour” its a great price and they even provide a ramp, shampoo, towels, an apron and an elevated tub with warm water! I get to leave with a clean dog and they get to clean up the mess!
Definitely a must visit, especially if you have a big dog!

The Doggie Spa is a great idea… I have my groomer that I always go to in Laguna Beach. But I found myself spending to much money just so he stays clean. Why not give him a bath at home, you say? I’m not trying to get my bathroom dirty & mess up good towels lol, plus I don’t have a hair dryer. It’s great to go in between trips to the groomers or a day at the Beach.
The Doggie spa has EVERYTHING you will need to clean your dog. Plus their staff is right there to help you or answer any questions. O yeah, BEST part… You don’t ever have to clean up the mess. Thank God! My Yorkie LeVi enjoyed his trip to the spa ;-)
