Meet the Manager

Manager

Graduating from Southern Illinois University in 1990 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Technology, Sean Murphy relocated to southern California to attend the Racing Technology program at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga ca.

Research, development, and product support allowed Sean the opportunity to take part in dynamometer and on-​site track testing sessions around the country. These opportunities provided valuable hands-​on knowledge of product application. The practical experience provided insight to the needs of the customer; the knowledge then used directly through product improvement and development.

Sean opened SMI in January of 2002 with a mission to provide products of the highest quality; supported through a focused dedication to customer service.
