Dr. Peter A. Russo has been focused on patients’ smiles and their optimal dental health since he began practicing periodontics and implant surgery in 1996. His entire team is dedicated to providing you with the personalized, gentle care that you deserve.

Dr. Peter Russo received his DDS degree and a Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Southern California. Dr. Russo has practiced periodontics and implant surgery in Huntington Beach since 1996. He is also a clinical professor of Periodontics at the USC School of Advanced Periodontology Department. Dr. Russo has published numerous articles and lectures to other dentists concerning the field of Periodontology and Dental Implants.

Dr. Russo provides the highest level of patient care in periodontics and dental implantology including use of the most up to date proven techniques and technologies available. Dr. Russo is a member of these professional organizations: American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology and Western Society of Periodontology.

Horribly disappointed by this guy and his office. Referred to him by my previous dentist, who i have since left because of how awful my experience was.
Firstly, the work he performed failed. i had a gum recession that russo worked on. The work that he performed lasted 6 months and then receded back to below where it was previously. He wrote it off as, «there’s a possibility that this will happen» and didn’t fix it. The most careless attitude of someone who is driven by the bottom line and doesn’t care about customer service or satisfaction.
Secondly, I have excellent dental insurance, and i’ve never had to pay more than my deductible. but without ever mentioning costs, etc, I ended up paying over $ 4000 out of pocket expenses for sub-​par dental work that didn’t even do what it was supposed to.
Truly my worst experience with a healthcare provider in my life. I felt taken advantage of on price, and the work didn’t even correct the issue.
Look elsewhere.

The staff is AWESOME and very helpful with appointment scheduling and insurance issues. The dental assistants are very knowledgable and personable. Dr. Russo did a GREAT job fixing my teeth and my wife’s teeth too! I would not go anywhere else for implant surgery.

I would highly recommend Dr. Russo and his office. I’m a nervous dental patient and Dr. Russo and the entire office made my experience so less scary. It was also painless and they really care about how you feel before, during and after the procedures.

My dentist referred me to Dr. Russo for a possible fractured tooth. The office staff was wonderful and I had no wait. Dr. Russo was very kind and took a lot of time to explain my situation and what would be done in addition to answering all my questions. His assistant was great also. I’m so happy my dentist referred me to Dr. Russo and his team. I feel confident in their abilities and have no worries the job they do will be excellent.

If there are more stars to give to Dr. Russo, I would. My regular dentist referred me to him regarding a specific gum/​tooth. Indeed, Dr. Russo is a specialist, very thorough, has state-​of-​the art tools/​equipment. He is very competent and efficient in his examination and keeps a detailed record of it. He provided me with the results of his exam, his evaluation, and his recommendation, all very reassuring and with confidence. I followed all that he said. He is assisted by very efficient and knowledgeable staff, from the receptionist, to dental assistant, and to billing. To top it all, Dr. Russo maintains a very friendly, happy, and accommodating office and staff. I am an extremely satisfied and happy patient of Dr. Russo.

I never write reviews for fellow doctors, but I really feel the need to do so here, given the long-​term relationship that these doctors have had with my patients.
Dr. Pete Russo and his colleague Dr. Justin Braga are two of the most knowledgeable, caring, and wonderful gum surgeons I have the honor to work with. I am a dentist that refers to them routinely. ALL of my patients have been treated with respect and individualized care using state-​of-​the-​art techniques and materials.
As a dentist myself, if I were ever to need gum surgery, I would feel 100% comfortable placing the health of my teeth and gums in their care. If I were to ever need a dental implant, these are the doctors for me!
Both are Spear dentists, which means they are constantly trying to learn the most they can about the latest science behind periodontal surgery. They have everything you need in their beautiful boutique facility. Their hygienist and staff are great. I have personally seen a mutual patient there, and I was genuinely surprised and pleased that one of the staff volunteered to stay during a small part of her lunch hour to assist me.
When I bought my practice, the doctor who owned it before me also worked with these specialists, and so I am able to see a long-​term trend of success from many patients. Their tenure in the community is outstanding, and I count on them for the best care in their discipline.

I went there for deep cleaning on my upper left molar. Carla, my dental Hygenist was very good… I’m always very nervous about getting a shot… I never even felt the needle! She was so good & I got to meet and talk to Dr. Russo who will be doing an extraction, bone graft & implant on my lower left molar. He made me feel very comfortable… so I am glad he’ll be doing the work for me.

What a great experience, I live in San Diego, I was told by a few dentist in San Diego that the procedure would be very extensive and extremely costly. The dentists in San Diego told me the recovery would take some time. I have heard about how great Dr. Russo was and thought about driving 2 hours each way to get his opinion and advice. It took 2 years to muster up the courage to drive up and see him. I dove up, he scanned my jaw with a high tech 5 second x-​ray machine. Dr. Russo meet with me and told me what was needed, I made an appointment and drove home. My first implant: It took less than 30 min for my first implant and 600mg of ibuprofen. I then got in my car drove 2 hours back home and continued my day. INCREDBLE!!! I dove up a little over a month later for a check and all is good. I have another appointment to have another implant done in January. Dr. Russo is worth the time to take off work, and drive all the way up to Huntington Beach.

The staff is very friendly and it draws you in for a «positive experience» but the actual outcome was anything but. The results were very disappointing — hardly noticeable. It was incredibly expensive — with insurance $ 6k out of pocket for 6 teeth. Post care the vibe was completely different. Bait and switch? I don’t know. I recommend going on vacation with the money and finding another dental office with proven results

I relocated to the OC for work a few years back and one of my first orders of business was finding a new perio. I’m about as picky as they come when it comes to finding a quality dental professional, but I believe I found a really good one in Dr. Russo. His staff is a pleasure and the cleanings I receive are top notch.
