They’re honest Dependable reliable and I’m very anal about where I take my cars… so make sure you go see Dave and he’ll take care of you… I promise you. You need somebody you can trust you go to this mechanic.

I brought my truck here on a friend’s referral and they kept it for over two weeks. What was worse is they never called me with any updates– I always had to call them and whenever I did was basically given the runaround. By the second Friday I was obviously determined to get my truck back. I called multiple times, only to be told they’d call me in an hour, yet I received no call back. To his credit, Dave called me first thing Monday morning saying it was ready. In the end they fixed it, but only after a long wait, spotty communication, and a hefty labor charge. If you do go here, make sure you speak directly to Dave and ask about a timeline.

My «go to» mechanic for my 2004 Suburban. Dave really takes care of us. We have the original OEM brakes, and we were wondering we should change them out. Dave took a look and said no, they still have life. Most other mechanics would have encouraged us to change them so they could get more business. Those little things really add up to integrity. Keep up the goo work Dave.

I had an engine light come up in my car. I came to the shop without an appointment to have the guys check my car and the did a test right away, found nothing wrong with the car, and reset my error message. I was very happy, most places would’ve found «something» wrong with my car, but no bill no problems! So happy! Thank you!

This is the most honest shop you’ll find. Dave, Alan and Curtis are all awesome people and truly honest. They won’t try to take you for all your money, they only recommend what you need.

This is a great mechanic, first mechanic to ever tell me, yeah, you don’t need your brakes done, you’re fine. Dave is great because it feels like he’s there to make your life easy, tell him what you and your car needs and you’ll get it done. He’s worked deals with me, broken up work to fit my budget, driven me home, and picked me up, everything his business can do to earn my business.
I bring both my Cadillac and Jeep there and I get exactly what needs to be done, done.

An upstanding reasonable mechanic is like gold. Dave and the gang get a hard-​earned 5-​star Unilocal from me for their mad skills and by being consistently honest and blunt for over 5 years now. Many a time they’ve spent their own time diagnosing my vehicle only to tell me it’s fine and I should get lost.
The quality of service is stellar, and as busy as they get, you always get personal and personable treatment. Dave has also gone far out of his way to help me in times of hardship, for which I am forever grateful, and I will leave it at that.

Once again, Dave and Alan helped me on a busy Friday morning. My tire popped (I stupidly hit a curve), no women driver jokes pls =). Dave called around and got me a deal on a tire and Alan put it on in less than 10 minutes.

Another example of how great Dave is. My car was acting up while going to take my granddaughter to movies … drove to Dave’s instead. My car had to stay, and he had one of his guys drop us off at movies theater so we wouldn’t miss it! He is GREAT !!!

Wow, amazing honest, friendly mechanic. The best mechanic in town. I am also surprised that there are so few reviews. I have been coming to Dave since he was recommended as a Mercedes expert. Dave had a previous long history (I wanna say like 10yrs) as a Mercedes mechanic, and has saved me THOUSANDS! He knows exactly what you need, and will ONLY do what is needed, no outrageous estimates or additional costs. Often times, the final bill is exactly or even less than what was quoted. The Mercedes Dealer charged me over and over to fix a problem that lasted until my check cleared. Dave fixed it right the first time I came in. I will always be a loyal customer. Dave McLean is an honest hard-​working small business owner who really cares about ALL his customers. I have never seen him angry or sad; he always has a smile for you when you come in, and his employees work hard and respect him. It’s a great place to hang out while waiting for your car, everyone is friendly and kind. Like I said Mclean Automotive is the best!

Dave and his coworkers are kind, decent and helpful. They answered all my questions and addressed all concerns. They’re fair in pricing and will tell you whether you really need to have something fixed or not. I went to Dave once before with a concern and he checked it out then told me work wasn’t necessary and at no charge! I am SO happy with the way my car is running.

I used to take my car to what I considered a very good family friend, but after several mishaps and half-​ass jobs and hundreds of dollars spent within one year I decided to look around. I was recommended to Dave and within my first visit he fixed my car off all it’s problems. He is the kind of guy that will show you the parts he just replaced. My car has been soooooo cheap to maintain ever since he has been taken care of it. He never recommends to replace something unless you absolutely have to and it’s in the best interest of your car. You can just tell when you talk to Dave that he cares about his clients and is an honest, old school business man that understands the value of building long –term business relationships. I recommned him 100% to anyone.

I am happy to be the first to write a review but a little surprised that other McLean Automotive customers have not raved about this shop and it’s owner Dave McLean before me.
I met Dave when he was working at the HB Jeep Dealership in 1994 and bought in my Cherokee. He did great work on that SUV and when it was time to buy a new car I bought a second Jeep just to keep him as my mechanic. As I came to learn, Dave can fix almost any car or truck, not to mention airplane or golfcart. He’s incredibly talented and most likely the nicest person you could ever meet. I always joke that my relationship with Dave is the longest I’ve ever had with any man. That’s how long I’ve been having him work on my cars.
He has rescued me from so many car emergencies, like when I was on my way to a job interview and my car broke down in the middle of the street and he came to where I was and gave me his truck to get to the interview. He stayed with my broken car until the tow truck arrived, took it to his shop and repaired it by the time I returned from my interview. And that is only ONE of the over-​the-​top customer service he has provided me with over the years!
His integrity is beyond reproach, he’s honest, always looking out for your best interests and will always keep you from making unnecessary car repairs and saving a little money.
And I’m going to be his customer for as long as he’s working on cars.
