Bobby and his crew were great to work with. At our consult we told him what we wanted, the price we wanted to stay within and he exceeded our expectations. He addressed all our concerns and helped us select the best plants to fit our needs. There was open communication through the whole project. His crew was reliable and cleaned up after every day. If there were a 6 star rating, this is what I would give Greener Gardens! Bobby is a gem in the landscaping business.
From our initial meeting we immediately saw how knowledgeable he was, readily identifying the plants in the idea photos we showed him. During our meeting at a local nursery he organized plant groupings that matched the layout of our yard incorporating his suggestions with our initial ideas for perfect combinations. He kept us informed of the steps answering our questions about the sprinkler system design and which watering solutions fit which plants according to the sun/​shade areas in our yard.
This was a new construction backyard project which involved coordination with a hardscape company and protection of the newly laid pavers. Bobby and his team took great care to protect our new pavers during his landscape and irrigation install.
Most of all, Bobby is the most reliable contractor I have ever met. He keeps to the schedule set and always follows through on promises. And all this he does with such a positive happy attitude. He loves his job and does everything he can to ensure you will love the results. If you are looking for someone to help beautify your home, give Bobby at Greener Gardens a call!

Bobby and Greener Gardens did a pretty small job for me but I’m happy I used them. I live in a hillside home in Mission Viejo and always get worried when it rains hard and I see inches of water covering a big part of the back yard (I know, that’s almost never, but still…). Greener Gardens quickly designed and installed drainage under pavers, concrete and grass from the backyard to the front, including dealing with sprinkler lines. Not a big job but they all showed up on time, stayed in touch during a rain delay and got the work finished as soon as the weather allowed it. Bring on El Nino. Oh, and the cost was very reasonable.

Bobby is positive, sunshine, and honest man. He will go out his way to please you. He has a good team which require little or no supervision from him. Overall it has a pleasure work with him. With unexpected rain he still managed to finish the project on time.

Bobby and his team did a FANTASTIC job on our Huntington Beach property. He sent picture updates each day they were working on the property. The day he was scheduled to start, it rained, and he called me right away saying he’d be there first thing the next day, which I appreciated. He also put irrigation in each of our planters and he made everything (tubing, etc) look clean and nice! He made our property look amazing! I would recommend their services to anyone, my husband and I were super impressed!

Had an excellent experience with greener gardens, they cleared out my planter, filled it with soil and planted it. when I called with an issue with the lavender plants, Bobby came around and replaced them without any questions.

Bobby & his team were awesome to work with. He finished earlier than he’d anticipated & did suburb work. He had free reign of our property– his style & work is fantastic!

We had our front yard redone with drought tolerant plants about a year ago, and while much of the work was good, there were several problems. Greener Gardens to the rescue. Bobby’s crew quoted a price that seemed very reasonable and they arrived promptly. They dug out several plants that had withered, including a King Palm that had never been very healthy. The replacement is beautiful and the other plants that they put in look like they are in great shape.
They did some work, trimming and weeding, that was not part of the original quote, much to our pleasure. They cleaned up spic and span, checked the drip irrigation, gave advice about watering and fertilizing, and assured us that they will replace anything that goes bad withing a couple of months.
My wife told me that they didn’t take a break except for a short lunch, so they definitely earned their fees.

Started part 1 of tackling the backyard redo and I am glad I worked with Bobby and his team. I think he is very fairand flexible which is a lot more than I can say for many of the other quotes I got from contractors in my area (will not name names).
I also like his suggestions for planting design and appreciate that he knows which plants to avoid. I have a relatively small Yard and do not want to have to dig up destructive or Ill fitting plants for the space or baby sit high maintenance plants.
Will hire again!

Even though the company is called Greener Gardens I choose this company because of the knowledge of the owner Bobby in drought landscaping. I appreciated the fact that he and his crew were on time and got this big project done on schedule. He was awesome in his willingness to meet me regularly for choosing plants, gravel and rocks (I am very picky), as well as keeping me updated on the project. He turned my plain grass yard into a beautiful drought resistant paradise. I highly recommend this company.

I found Bobby on Unilocal like many of the unsatisfied customers here. I will start by saying that I am a very particular and detailed oriented person. Huge on accountability when it comes to my vendors. To sum it up, Im very difficult to please. (ask my husband) Further, Being in real estate for 15 years, Iv seen a lot of great work, as well as poor. I took a chance despite the Unilocal reviews, and I was NOT sorry. Bobby conducted himself with the upmost professionalism, found creative ways to maximize our dollar, offered great design ideas, made every appointment, and best of all kept his word from beginning to end of our project costs/​timing. With much of the frustration i have experienced with estimates and previous vendors, Bobby put all that to rest. My backyard looks AMAZING. He and his team did such a beautiful job, I cant find enough adjectives to describe the quality of work and my experience. Bobby thank you. We will definitely call you again for phase 2 of our yard project. To all those who had a less than favorable experience… give it another chance. No one is perfect that I am aware of. This is coming from a royally anal person (wink). My husband and I wish you and your team much success Bobby!

I have a patio home in Cypress, and the landscaping was in desperate need of being redone. I wanted to try and keep some of the plants and a stand of birch trees. I called 15 landscaping companies and only 4 responded; Bobby, from Greener Gardens, was the only one who responded promptly. The others took up to a week or more to get back to me, and their bids were more than double the amount that Bobby quoted me.
Bobby made an appointment to meet with me early in the week to assess my landscaping needs and quote the job. We spent quite a bit of time talking about what needed to be done, what I envisioned for the space and what plants would be best to give me the color I was looking for but at the same time remain within the guidelines of being drought tolerant. On Friday of that week, I met Bobby at Village Nursery in Huntington Beach, and we went over the plants for the project. Bobby was easy to work with and when I didn’t like some of the choices we initially made, he made changes to the original scope of work right on the spot — without increasing the cost of the project.
He said his team would show up between 8:30 and 9:00 A.M. the next morning to begin tearing out the old shrubs, and they were right on time. Bobby arrived a little later with the plants and other materials necessary to complete the project. His workers were efficient and courteous, and they cleaned up at the end of the day. They asked if it would be okay if they worked on Sunday to complete the job, and when I agreed, they showed up promptly at the same time the next day.
I am very please with the way everything turned out and with Bobby and his team’s professionalism. If you’re planning on hiring someone to do your landscaping, I would suggest you give Bobby at Greener Gardens a call.

Bobby was good at keeping the original appointment and had a good grasp of what I wanted to accomplish in my back and front yards. My lawn had died and I wanted extensive brickwork and electrical connections to my four large fountains along with the lawn replacement. It was a big job with a great deal of material removal. He improved on some of my ideas as the job progressed and the final result was more than I expected. He commenced on time and kept to the ten day schedule. Bobby and his entire crew displayed a pleasant and professional demeanor during the entire process.
The biggest asset was the electrician, Kevin Jeffries, who installed the electrical system to my fountains. He was excellent.
I am reluctant to comment on the pricing since I have no other source of comparison. I do feel that the price was reasonable. I am very pleased with the result.

***BE FOREWARNED! The organization has contacted me directly to insult me, using expletives to respond to my review despite my request for them to cease contact. (See uploaded screenshot photo). In case this is not warning enough — I now have a public forum of witnesses and motive if I end up dead in a ditch.
Like another UnilocalER below — I’ve desperately refrained from writing this review, because Bobby is not a bad person, but this organization should not be in business in the field of landscaping.
The time and money I have spent to correct his work in my yard has become too much for me to handle, and now I must help others avoid the same issues and costs I have suffered having hired this company.
Net-​net: I paid over $ 5500 and took over 4 months to complete. He continually committed to coming out on certain dates to repair, and would often had a reason why he was delayed (see other reviews).
See my photos where he:
1) Left my yard as you see FOR MONTHS before coming back to re-​install the sod which died because of incorrect irrigation settings as well as not adequately prepping the soil
2) Every gardener subsequent has stated they had to adjust or replace nearly every sprinkler head that was installed, citing how cheap and incorrect they were — which is why they did not cover the lawn
3) Installed the cheapest most dated pathway and garden lights available, most of them became foggy and broke within a few months
4) The «electrical work» is comprised of extension cords running on the ground completely exposed from the yard to outlets.
He made some attempts to compensate for the above, but never offered a refund of any sort. (He had to completely replace the sod at his expense, which I had forewarned him was dying from Day 1 — and since he was delayed to come back out despite my numerous requests to do so, by then it was completely dead).
After the $ 5500 I paid, I have had to endure: Months of being the embarrassment of the neighborhood, hiring an electrician to redo the lighting, a gardener who has corrected all of the irrigation, and replacement of most of the foliage that was purchased — which is either dead or planted incorrectly for design purposes.
You will see on other reviews that he has the same habits of delay with other parties, pushing them out time and again — I missed many events and holidays for months because my yard was a disaster (not to mention a danger as well, as when he left the dead sod in piles in my yard for months, wasps began to congregate).
This is not an appropriate way of doing business, and I write this forewarn others before they suffer the stress and now all the costs I have had to incur to fix the work that was completed by «Greener Gardens».

NO CALL, NO SHOW for a scheduled appointment to provide us an estimate to redo our backyard.
My wife booked an appointment with Bobby over the phone a couple weeks out. A few days before she texted him asking if he could come slightly earlier. He replied «no problem». Well it obviously was because he never came, never called, nothing!
I pushed my schedule back to be there for this. We both took time out of our days. It’s so unbelievably unprofessional to me when this sort of thing happens I can’t help but write about it. If you value your time, call someone else. It appears others on Unilocal already agree.

DO NOT USE!!! Gave me estimate and I never heard back from him at all. I called Bobby 3 times and he said he would call me back and NEVER DID, THREE TIMES.
VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, He lost a good customer to say the least.

We had just put in new cement patio for our townhouse in October. By November my husband wanted it landscaped. Now, I thought we had 2 problems: a small patio & it was close to the holidays. But, in comes Bobby Morel! He had a great vision immediately after seeing our patio. We met him at his favorite nursery & he showed us plants, succulents, & miniature queen palms. He was planning to put plants around our existing queen palm & put the rest in vases. Ah but alas, we wanted dark brown vases!!! In record time
Bobby found these beautiful tall brown vases! He created a tropical feeling in our patio. He also set up a drip system for the vases & night lights! We are so happy!

We redid our backyard last month and was looking for a reputable company that could do everything in a specific time frame we had in mind. We met with bobby and his enthusiasm and creativity was great… just what we wanted. We wanted a professional to propose numerous ideas to us of what would work best, what required little amount of maintenance, etc. He proposed many different ideas to us within our budget range. Bobby and his workers were always on time and professional. Bobby often came over to check up on the work which took about 6 – 7 working days to complete. Our backyard now looks wonderful with new stones, pebbles, a trimmed large tree and wood chips. I would highly recommend Bobby and his workers for anyone who wants an affordable backyard remodel. Treat yourself!

Here is an update. Unfortunately, a year later my rating went from a solid 5 to a 1. A year after Greened Gardens did my landscape for me, one of my sprinkler values started to leak. After several calls and a couple of weeks of excuses, I had to finally buy a new value and fix it myself.
Needless to say, I am very disappointed in Bobby’s custom service after he finished the job. Buyer beware.
