Expert Math Tutor

I started with Mike around one month ago. I was receiving an F (58) in my Algebra 2 class. He was able to translate all the concepts and problems to me that were so obscure before. In our four sessions, my grade has already gone up 18 percent.
Mike truly loves his job of spreading his immense knowledge of math. His fees are very reasonable for these high levels of math and is always on time. I plan studying with Mike as I go through high school math and I would really recommend him.

I first used Michael to tutor my oldest son. He is an average student in math and needed help for Geometry and Algebra 2/​trig. Michael figured out what he knew and what he needed help with quickly. We used him almost on a weekly basis for those two classes. He is now tutoring my second son who is excellent in math, but was struggling a little in Algebra 2/​trig. Michael helped him raise his grade from a «C» mid semester to an «A» by the end of the semester. At this point, my son will ask me to set up an appointment before his tests. I like that I can email Michael and set up a session when needed. His schedule is very flexible. I feel Michael can works well with all levels of students and I have recommended him to friends.

We engaged Mike to assist with our high school daughter who is currently enrolled in Trigonometry. Up until recently she was always an «A» student, but was having an issue with the recent material. Mike spent the first session reviewing what she already knew to get a good understanding of where her core weaknesses were. He then went back a few chapters to review some of the core concepts he felt she was lacking before moving to the current material. This allowed her to gain a REAL understanding of the concepts instead of just practicing memorization.
Mike also helped her develop better study habits and take better notes during lectures. I am happy to report that she got an A on her last exam!
With her study habits corrected, Mike doesn’t need to come by as often now, but we do still conduct regular appointments so that we are sure she is on track and to make sure her understanding is where it should be.
We really like that he comes to our home and it works out great for our schedule as well as helping our daughter feel more comfortable. I can’t imagine another tutor being any more professional or knowledgeable than Mike.
