Dave came over and gave me a fair estimate. He was prompt and courteous. We didn’t move forward with the project for other reasons.

I contacted a few companies for an estimate for sod in my back yard. One place never called me back, 2 of them gave me an estimate on the phone, and 2 (including Dave) came out to my house for a more accurate estimate. After talking to Dave we decided to get rid of all our grass from both our front and back yard (it wasn’t grass but mostly crab grass), he removed the extra dirt in our yard and he rotilled and graded both the front and back yard. Now we do not have any grass, but we are using Roundup to keep killing any unwanted grass, then in early Spring we will decide on what we want to do and hopefully the crab grass and unwanted grass will not come back, but that gives us time to think instead of rushing into something. Dave was so flexible and great to work with when we are ready for the next step we will be calling him.

These days people will offer you every line of BS to gain your business. I met Dave about 10 years ago after being referred by a friend. I needed some trees removed and concrete added to an exiting driveway. Upon meeting Dave I found him to be completely honest on what he could and couldn’t do. Dave even offered a few suggestions along the way to improve certain things with the project. Dave provided me a quote which was compared with two others. The quote was not a landslide in difference, but it was fair and reasonable and certainly cheaper then the other quotes I received. I get it that people need to make money and pay their bills too. What I learned about Dave is that he is not happy until your are happy. If he says he will do something he is always true to his word and does what he says he will do. Imagine that a man of his words !!! Such a difficult quality to find in people especially in construction. I have had horrible experiences in the past with contractors and I waited for Dave to complete the work before I made any final conclusion with my opinion of him. Over the years Dave has completed approx. 5 different projects at my residence and each one was completed with satisfaction. Dave was at my house two weeks ago on another project. Is there anything this guys can’t do ?? If he can’t he will find someone who will. So Dave if you come across this post I just want to say thanks for your loyalty and most of all honoring your word as a gentleman !! I imagine it won’t be too long until you hear from me again…
