I love our local Albertsons. The meat dept is friendly and helpful. The front end is always fast and friendly. I really enjoy the produce people they always take time to answer questions. Everyone seems so happy the store directed must be doing a great job. I can’t say enough about my local Albertsons.

This review is for the bakery. They did an awesome job on my sons first birthday cake. I showed them a photo of a cake I liked and they knocked it out of the park. The cake was moist and delicious. I will definitely be coming back to get our cakes here.

I usually love this store, find everything I need, get great service. I wouldn’t know the cashier’s name I dealt with today had someone not said it but, Kathy was too busy helping a customer that needed help where the tobacco is located to be bothered with her lane. She didn’t greet me right away after she walked over, no apology for being kept waiting, bagged my items and made ME put them in the cart.
I’m a union worker but, she is the epitome of a typical, lazy Union employee. If you don’t like your job? Retire!

A go to for our famalies cakes to celebrate events. Always moist, tastes great and are beautifully made. They can scan photos to create your cake top too. Service team is super pleasant and has been for years.

I bought a bakely and there was mold on the bottom of the bread! We ate 20% of it without knowing. Yikes. I called in the next morning and the store manager, Wendy, didn’t care enough to apologize and gave me, somehow, a PARTIAL REFUND. Bad quality food and poor customer service.

I just stepped in today and I have bought few ice creams and they were very delicious. The most important they were on sales and they are really cheap compared to what Albertson generally sells their products.
I will keep going there hunting for cheap stuff

How do you give this store less than 5 stars? The employees are awesome, they’re always incredibly kind and helpful. Store is always clean. Parking is easy. There’s eateries across the way. And the deli counter is always ample.
Miss Anna, front register, has been helping me out for years. She always remembers me, my family, parents, husband, dog, friends, etc. I noticed that she has her usuals and so do the other staff members. It’s a neighborhood shop that caters to the surrounding neighborhood.
Granted, there are things I sometimes cannot find here (but thats an issue for all stores). It’s a neighborhood grocery store, they won’t have everything. I am Happy though that they finally stocked up in coconut oil, and at a good price.
The only downside is that there are the occasional panhandlers and solicitors outside, makes it uncomfortable from time to time. Still my favorite place to sho

I was very pleased with the bakery in particular. I needed a Minecraft cake for my son’s 7^th birthday. I spoke with Lani and she made the cake exactly like my son wanted. I was very pleasantly surprised by her talent. The cake looked absolutely amazing. I will definitely use them again for any special occasion cakes. I am also happy that they are carrying more organic produce. The employees are very nice and friendly. Always a good experience.

The responsibilities of a manager are to assure that your customers needs are addressed, questions are answered and that you perform to the best of your ability to find solutions to their problems in order to retain their business. In which case this store FAILED. Clearly critical thinking skills are not part of their hiring process for the management staff. Very disappointed when trying to get answers regarding a service their store provides, the sad part was that their staff believes in their product yet their management can’t deliver. Poor business management, etiquette and lacks customer satisfaction skills.

Please disregard so many bad reviews from other patrons or perhaps from friends of the competition around the corner. These people need to get a life.
I’ve been coming here for nearly 5 years now… yes, employees don’t seem to stay long wish they did but its not their fault its what the company dictates. They are very friendly and often times too friendly cause occasionally do take crap from patrons and lord we have some horses arses that make others miserable. The employees here are just phenomenal. Christine, Anna, Ms. Julia, Ryan, Ian, Allan, My Rosemarie that got sent to the back with the meat, and I know I am forgetting others damn… I did not sign to get old.
The grocery part is just like any other you can find discretions anywhere and if you do just bring it to the attention of the first employee you see. They wont bite you.
Prices…heck do your research and if you find the other places cheaper well drive there… but quit complaining about the damn price it not the employees fault.
Whenever I need something I quickly get there and return before my food burns.

This store isn’t bad at all, these other comments are way over the top. Do you people go to stores to make friends with cashiers?
Anyways, I’ve been coming here my whole life because it’s near my house. Produce is sometimes pricey, but they do have good sales from time to time. Just need to check for deals weekly.

If I could give this store no stars I would. Produce is always bad and the service is terrible! Why have cashiers doing customer service if they don’t even know how? All it does is ruins the customers day and they never end up going back. or they simply come home and write a nasty Unilocal review hoping others avoid your grocery store. I’ve worked in customer service many years and any place I’ve worked would of fired anyone for not going «above and beyond» for the customers. I absolutely avoid this grocery store and instead I go to Ralph’s off of Warner and Springdale area-​wayyyyyyy nicer and their products are fresh! I wish I knew who the store manager is for because she/​he is obviously not doing something right if she/​he has so many unhappy employees. I hope they get their act together because they will continue losing customers!

I’m not sure why this store has so many negative reviews because I love Albertsons. The cashiers are always so nice and friendly here. They are always willing to lend a helping hand. This store is always stocked and super clean.

Hello my name is Spencer. I recently visited Albertsons in Huntington Beach to purchase some groceries, unfortunately the product which I purchased was out of date. On Tuesday Sept. 9^th I went in after work purchasing tuna, olive oil, eggs, two loafs of bread, and a couple steaks. Now in the past my father, step mother, and myself had purchased meat from this particular Albertsons that had gone bad the next day and smelled so bad it wasnt worth the drive back for the fifteen dollars. This is the third time this has happened where I have purchased product that is out of date and frankly Im becoming irritated of wasting money on poor product. The first loaf of bread I purchased from that transaction I noticed had mold just a day later Thursday, Sept. 11^th, thinking maybe it was one bad loaf I tossed it out. The following day Sept. 12^th I came home from work to open what shouldve been a brand new loaf but it too was completely covered in mold. Now by law each bag of bread must have a sale date on it and after thoroughly examining this loaf a date could not be found anywhere. I thought, how could this be? So the following day after work Saturday, Sept. 13^th I took the loaf in to the store manager Mr. Ryan who was as baffled as I was when he heard it had gone bad a mere two days after purchase and he also examined the package for a date, and as I said before there was none to be found. After explaining that I wanted no compensation for inconvenience and had no desire to take the incident to court because of the packaging with no date, Ryan told me he was not empowered as a store manager to reimburse me my total purchase. He instead directed me to speak with the assistant store director, a Mr. Adrian Rusescu the following day to get his take on the situation. So Sunday morning Sept. 14^th, on my day off, I went in to meet Mr. Adrian whom after explaining my story to told me he could only reimburse me for the two loafs of bread. I requested to be reimbursed the entire purchase because I obviously had already eaten some of the food before realizing it was bad and frankly I do not trust the product from Alberstons any longer. I could have become extremely sick from eating bread with mold on it, which again by law should be stamped or tagged with a date. After speaking with Mr. Adrian further and figuring out that even as an assistant store director he is not empowered to make a decision, he directed me to come in the following day to speak with the store director. So again the following day Monday, Sept. 14^th, I went back in on my day off, mind you this was the third day I had been in the store without a resolution, to speak with the store director Marie Helen Doren. She proceeded to offer me nothing more than reimbursement for the two loafs of bread and anything I hadnt eaten or tossed out yet. I was extremely upset that this was the only resolution I was going to see and that her attitude about it was poor. She even got a little snappy with me because I stated that I would be sure to Unilocal about the poor manner in which this situation was handled. If that is how she treats and speaks to customers thats unfortunate, I wouldve expected more from a store manager especially since we live in a world where customer service is everything. I could have taken this incident to court because at the end of the day whether it was a vendor issue or not, the bread is sitting on Albertons shelf and they are responsible for the sale of that product. On another note the eggs that were out of date were Albertons brand not a different vendors product. I would not recommend going to the Albertsons in Huntington Beach, youll be sorely disappointed when your food spoils a few days later. Lets not forget the your health could be at risk with spoiled or contaminated foods. Finally, when you try to get an incident resolved, nobody in management is empowered to make any decisions other than the store director, and well the customer service is just disappointingly poor.

I write this in the hopes this little store will improve. It seems like it should be better since it sort of has a captive audience with the entire Huntington Harbor right there to support this store.
Basically, with respect to the employees I hope their lives and interactions with others improve. Their jobs must be difficult because they really make the experience for the shopper rather hard to predict. I have been in the area over 20 years and I don’t remember any major issues there until the shopping bag ban.
I find I cringe when I need to shop there or choose to shop there as that is the reality. Each time I hope I don’t have a bad experience, but nope, often something irritating happens.
In short, I use the self check out because I have trouble with their line length that they sometimes have. They admit to me that they hate the self check out so if you need a bag or the machine locks up, they just let you stand there. They ignore you. It’s not really all their fault! What could they do anyway. That’s why they leave you there for say 5 to 10 minutes while you try to make eye contact or even ask whom you should check with to get help.
Once I did an experiment and just waited quietly with the speaker broadcasting. assistance needed in self check out. I waited 14 minutes to get proper help.
You would think I would learn my lesson and just move over to the regular check out lines. Well, one time I looked up from my frozen machine and saw a line was thinning out in the regular lines so I quickly threw my groceries back into my cart and got to the line just as the check out guy plops a Closed sign onto the food belt.
Defeated, I returned to the self check out, only to find the bags I needed had been removed and now that I wanted to ask for a few paper bags, once again there was no one available to get them from.
I somehow checked myself out, avoiding the items I knew would jam the computer and left with half of what I wanted to purchase, with no bags to organize my items. Admittedly, it would be easier if I brought my own bags, I have one, but I believe if I am willing to pay for a few paper bags I shouldn’t have to endure such treatment.

I think the staff is great here. who needs that much help while buying food? haha
Only «bad» part is their Redbox is almost always too full, id like them to get another box.

I have lived near an Albertsons for the past 7 years so when I moved into my new apartment I was very exited to see that will once again have the convenience of having one across the street. Well I am no longer as exited as I was at first. I have never seen worst costumer service and rudeness put together to form a team as this Albertson has managed to do. Every time I walked in I convince my self this is the last time I step my foot in there. I have finally, for the past 4 months, have been going to the Ralphs a little further up the street however they are a lot more pleasent to deal with.
One of the fist times I was in here I asked the lady at the self check where could I get some chance once I have spent spent $ 50 and forgot to use the regular check out lane, she ignored em and kept on talking to her coworker, I asked her once again; she turned around and said «I don’t have the key to register this is why it’s a self checkout you need to go to a regular cashier» I walked over to a regular checkout line and stood in a line for $ 2 in quarters. Once it was my turn in the line and I had a chance to open my moth to ask the cashier for some chance she started scanning the items of a person behind me and once I had tried to explain to her that those were not my item and I just needed some change she rolled her eyes shook her head and told me «and how was I supposed to know that?» there H ave been more unpleasant visits to this location that I won’t wast your time explaining, the bottom line is this place needs to learn some manners!

Albertson’s grocery stores are a source of comfort for me. The stores are similar in layout and have great store brand products at discounted prices.
This store has a wine selection this is bigger than any liquor store I’ve been in. The wines are priced well and a store discount is offer for buying 6 or more. On more than one occasion I’ve received excellent suggestions for dinners I was preparing with ingredients from just isles over.
The staff has a presence the you find all over the store. Each department is attended. Not only are the employees everywhere, thy are knowledgable too. Wanna bread made without enriched flour, just ask. Want a frozen pizza without gluten, they’ll know. Want organic veggies? Ask ‘em.
Insiders trading tip… bring the kids to the bakery and they’ll let them have a fresh baked cookie.

Good selection and nice staff but they sold me expired BBQ sauce earning them 4 stars. Love using the self checkout.

The employees are all very friendly and helpful, but they do seem a bit short staffed. There isn’t a vast variety of foods, but they have the basics. It is a good place to go when you need to run in for something quick. They usually have what Trader Joe’s lacks.
