Coming from NYC, bagels are actually pretty good. Coffee is good too. Great choice for a quick grab before the slopes.

This bagel shop was a pleasant surprise. I came up to the Kaatskill Mountain Club with my family and didn’t want to spend a long time looking for a place to have a quick breakfast before the day’s activities. To my surprise I found that this place makes a «REAL» bagel. Being from the city, we live on bagels & coffee for quick breakfasts. Nothing beats a good «old fashion» bagel where they are first boiled, then baked. The outside of the bagels had perfect snap. The variety of bagels were excellent. In speaking to the owner, she learned this technique by working many years elsewhere. She starts so early in the morning to bring these awesome bagels to life. They also have a line of fantastic baked goods. My wife absolutely loved her cranberry orange loaf. I loved the rye bagels. It was loaded with caraway seeds, and was properly done with the right amount of butter. My children both did their bagels with specialty cream cheeses, yummmm. The vegetable cream cheese for one of them, & the other scallion cream cheese, both loved it, very fresh. I highly recommend this bagel store for anyone that knows and wants a great bagel way up here in the mountains. Not many people know how to properly turn out bagels this well !!!

My sandwich (roast beef melt) definitely wasn’t worth the $ 7. It wasn’t warm, the cheese was barely melted, and there was nothing else on it but roast beef and Swiss cheese, making it very bland. I will however say that the breakfast burritos my friends got were amazing. If you’re having trouble deciding what to get, save yourself the heartache by opting out of a «hot» sandwich and getting a banging breakfast burrito instead.

Had fresh Apple Strudel, Meatball Eggplant Parm Hero on fresh home made hero roll (Mmmm), and a good large cup of hot good Hazelnut coffee. On a first name basis. Friendly, clean, fresh, inexpensive, fast and well worth making a relaxing stop.
