The beer selection is the only reason to go here. They have so many on tap, it could make your head spin, especially if you don’t know a lot about beer. It almost takes a degree in beer to read their beer menu, as nothing is explained. If you can get a waitress’s attention to ask her about the menu, chances are they won’t know either. If you don’t have a friend in tow who knows beer or a smart phone to google what the beers are, you are up a creek. Don’t bother with the food here, a terrible selection of lack-luster food that are over priced make up a menu that is better left closed. The small bar area was greatly improved when they remodeled recently, but there is still not enough room for more than a party of 4.

Heard so many good things about this place, had to try it. Had the fillet mignon skewer appetizer. This is four good sized skewers of tender steak beautifully presented in a stack surrounded by tendrils of watercress on top of truffle fries. Another winner for the new hip Hudson restaurant scene.

Had lunch here. The kale salad was excellent although I thought a tad pricey. Husband had a chicken sandwich with string onions and spicy French fries that he enjoyed. Great choice of beers. Friendly service, fun atmosphere. Would give it 3.5

So let me first start off by saying this pace used to be really pretty good. The burgers, pot pies, etc… we used to be pretty satisfied with the place. I can also say that they have a great selection of beers… the bar is tiny, but if you are looking for just beer… no longer to eat… its a pretty good place. That being said… we learned recently that they have changed over their kitchen staff… and it shows… a lot. The last three or four times there we have left utterly disappointed in the food and the all around service. The food quality has really tanked and I think its safe to say we have given it’s final shot. Because of the service the last few times, we decided to just take out and take the food home… which we had done in the past. The pot pies and stews we ordered were absolutely the blandest things we’ve ever tasted. Now… I moved to New England seven years ago from Chicago and tastes in NE are very bland to begin with and I have gotten used to that … but this was extraordinary. If our last visit wasn’t take out… we would have asked for our money back… because the meal cost me 70 dollars… and because of that… we will never return… I’ve had better stew in a can… and its a shame… the place used to be pretty good. Take a look at the recent reviews… this place is going downhill fast.

Worst meal ever. We ordered 2 Guinness beef stews and they were so tasteless. Not to mention each was $ 16 and there were only a couple pieces of tough and chewy beef in it. I had 2 bites and the rest went to the dogs. The chicken pot pie had more meat in it but still tasted like dog food. The fried calamari was not at all impressive. Super chewy and not tender at all. We each had one bite and were done. We’re now sitting in our house hungry after spending nearly $ 70 on crap food. Needless to say, we are very disappointed. At least the dogs now have dinner for a couple days…

I really like this place. I’ve never had a bad meal here and their Chicken Pie is out of this world! My husband and I always sit at the bar so noise doesn’t bother us. Keep in mind it is a pub and kind of rustic at that but having said that I was disturbed that the waitstaff garnished all the drinks with their bare hands and not one used the tongs at the station! Kinda gross as they clean off dirty plates too! Can you say gross?

This place has a killer beer selection. The sandwiches and burgers are huge and they definitely don’t skimp on portions.

Increasing poor service here since they got rid of veteran staff. I asked to seat at a booth at 3:00 p.m. For a brief business. meeting followed by dinner and had the owner sit at my table to tell me why he «doesn’t rent meeting rooms» the place was nearly empty. We moved to the bar but will never be back

Stopped by on business trip from San Diego and had killer Sheperd’s pie. Huge serving. Also had my local San Diego Ballast Point porter beer. Impressive selection of beer. Def worth eating and drinking place. Clean and not too noisy. Family friendly.

What an AWESOME place!!! Visiting the area, stopped by for a beer(like ya could choose from the wall of local draft beers, but Chris did a great job helping us decide!!). We had some amazing appetizers!!! It was all so good, had to return again tonight. What a pleasure. The pot pie is to die for!!! Manager — Kathy, you are the bomb! Nick, you are an owner who cares about your business.

Nice beer selection and good food. Try the fried pickles if you happen to stop in. Plenty of parking and the staff was great.

It would seem that Central Mass has upped its game since I moved away. Several years back, I would never have expected to find good beer selections in small Massachusetts towns. But during my last visit in Dec 2015, my sister took me to Horseshoe Pub, lauding its selection. Sure enough, they had a large menu of beer, with interesting seasonals, locals, and all around good craft beer. While the customers around us still felt very Massachusetts(neither a bad or good thing), the staff was friendly and the libations were enjoyed in full. With the vegan ice cream being offered nearby, you better believe I will be coming back here next time I’m in town.

This place used to be good. Big, open bar(semicircular), food that wasn’t terribly imaginative but consistent and pretty good, and 82 beers on tap. Then something happened. Staff was purged, bar was removed, forget about food. If you’re thinking about this place: there’s a 99 and Applebee’s up the road. Nothing special here.

Pretty busy with only two servers covering the entire bar in a Saturday night and it made for long waits. The beers tasted sort of strange and the bar area was a complete mess. Probably won’t go back.

Mom and went here for lunch after seeing this place on the Phantom Gourmet but our waitress didn’t even know it was on TV. The Seafood chowder was barely warm but it smelled and tasted fishy, had imitation crabmeat, potatoes and some slimy fish and we would def NOT order it again. Mom had Chicken Piccata snd gave it a 5 out of 10 stars. She orders this dinner out slot so this was just ok. My Shepard’s Pie was very good, served in a hot iron pan too hot to eat for a good 10 min. Lovely crispy potato crusted top and ground sirloin filling. We may come back and try other dinners.

Great beer selection. It’s a moving target though because once I settle on a beer I really like, it may not be there the next month. However, it’s always replaced with a similar one that I end up liking even more! Food is excellent. The atmosphere is very nice. I like how they have different themes during certain parts of the year. The staff is friendly and accommodating whenever there is something that’s not«quite right». You can’t be perfect every time, but how you deal with a problem says a lot and I’ve never been disappointed in my many visits to this great local pub.

Best combination of food, beer and a great staff in the area! The beer selection is amazing and the food is always fresh and hot. The staff(starting with Nick) are friendly and professional. You can’t go wrong here!

Came in after Rail Trail had a 1 hour and 45 minute wait, ravenous and thirsty, was pleasantly surprised by the beer selection and food choices. Definitely a little divey inside. I got a vanilla Java porter that was delicious, they let me sample the chocolate peanut butter porter before choosing which was nice. Ordered the burger, medium rare, with sweet potato fries. Overall, my burger was perfectly cooked and on a really yummy crusty bun. Would definitely go back!

This place is a joke honestly if it wasn’t for the draft beer selection there is no reason to go here. The hostess team is rude the bar team is rude and the whole squad is overall incompetent it doesn’t help the place is full of cameras literally everywhere(look next time) you feel watched as you eat. But most importantly the food is awful. Does the kitchen own a box of salt because the food does not even know what seasoning is this place is horrendous. I saw a runner put his hand down his pants and then serve food to a table … That is what put me over the edge.
