If you like popcorn you will leave this place with many flavors you like. On my first visit I left with a bag of Blueberry and S’more flavored popcorn that blue my mind. Trying samples of a multitude of crazy flavors was so much fun and entertaining. The staff is so friendly, hospitable and always cheerful and going the extra mile in serving the customer. The prices are decent. I think I’m going to go back and pick up a Cleveland Indians popcorn container that looked rad on the shelf. They sell several items that you can use to present popcorn in as a gift item.

They make great gift baskets. A boxed «thank you» — perfect for a hostess gift — is only about $ 15 and includes small bags of 3 varieties of popcorn.

What’s crazy but true? The fact that something as innocuous and potentially boring as a popcorn shop is this incredible. The flavors are ridiculously good. Give me a large bag of Cajun BBQ and a beer and put me in a quiet room and I’m good. Great, friendly staff too. I love this place.

Yes you’ve seen popcorn in multiple flavors before – maybe in a mall, probably a chain – but this place really does it right
Small locally owned shop with 30-​some flavors, all made fresh in house. Great customer service, sharing endless amounts of samples because they know they all taste great.
They even organize the flavors in areas so you can head right to what you know you like: savory, sweet, or chocolate. We tried 5 or 6 from each section. They were all good to great.
Straight up Cheese was good, Buffalo Ranch was quite nice. I’m sure the salt and pepper is good, too, but I had to move on to the sweet and chocolate.
Apple Pie was awesome. Midnight Rollo was a salt caramel with chocolate on top – REALLY good. There was a peanut butter one that I took home, and my daughter got Bubble Gum, which despite sounding gross, was quite good, too. (The only one that didn’t make me say Yum! or Wow! was the Kettle Corn. It was fine, but I’m pretty much addicted to a version from where I’m from, warm from the kettle – it’s hard to beat that).
But I will pause here to share something else that sets this place apart from other popcorn shops you may know. The sweet and chocolatey flavors don’t feel like a goopy sugar BOMB. Yes, they’re sweet and pretty sugary and kind of addictive, but I don’t feel like they’re hitting you over the head with a calorie sledgehammer (as long as you don’t eat the whole bag at once – don’t do that!).
They have a lot of other unique flavors that are unusual and fun. So try a whole bunch. And then buy some. Sizes start at a modest small-​sized bag for $ 3.00, which is a fair price for a creative handmade sweet confection like this.
Me, I want more places like this in my town (and every town). Friendly people making good stuff.

As soon as we walked into the shop we were immediately greeted and felt very welcomed. The staff was very helpful and had great recommendations, we walked out with 4 bags of popcorn and will be back soon!

Love, love, love! Love their flavors (especially Midnight Rollo). Love that I can try all the flavors I want while I’m there. Love the awesome customer service with smiles, jokes, and recommendations. I do recommend purchasing a tin because you get a discount every time you bring it back in. I also do their frequent buyer club so after 10 purchases I get a bag for free.

The best popcorn in ohio. There so many flavors to choose from Great customer service we are lucky to have this gem in our area. My husband and I love this place. Yesterday he brought home a bag of dill pickle popcorn. This morning he left for a week in San Fransisco and I ate his dill pickle popcorn as my consolation prize.
Everyone who works here really believes that they are selling a high quality product. They are friendly and excited to help you find your new favorite snack.
My favorite is the coconut curry, Beardyman’s is the buffalo-​ranch.
Definitely give this place a try.

Came here yesterday after dinner. It was our first time in Hudson and we asked our waitress what we should check out before leaving and this was one of the recommendations.
We love gourmet popcorn, and crazy but true is no exception. They have a very large selection in comparison to some other companies we’ve tried.
We sampled at least a dozen flavors. All delicious. I’m more of a savory type person when it comes to snacks but their sweet selections really won me over. Some of their savory were spot on with what they were supposed to and others, while delicious, didn’t remind me of their namesake. The sweet ones are spot on.
They’re all good, but the combo that really won us over was the cinnamon toast crunch mixed with rice crispies. A little pricier than I like spending on popcorn, but we will definitely be back any time we’re in the area for a bag of that!

Great selection of unique popcorn flavors! So much fun. Great variety of savory sweet and chocolate. Able to try every flavor, very friendly staff, helpful and knowledgable.

Let’s start with every time I have been in Leigh has been there to work with us. He let’s is sample whatever we want and I love it !!! We usually end up spending at least 50 $ in here ! My husbands favorite is the mosiac, fo shizzle drizzle, loaded potato and the beer popcorn. My favorite is the buckeye, the dill, and the house caramel and cheddar mixed together !!!

Discovered this place by accident and Im glad we did. Im not even a huge popcorn fan but this place is awesome. Very friendly staff and samples were encouraged. Awesome selection and the owners will mix flavors for you. Its a little pricey but you get what you pay for. For $ 4 a bag, Im in there again. Loved it

The Selection is great and they also have just regular buttered popcorn.

We live in Wilmington NC but are from OHIO! Don’t fear, they SHIP! Ordered their popcorn (Pizza which my husband has nearly devoured) and got it in just a few days! Will be ordering again!

If you like creatively flavored popcorn, this place will suit your fancy. Savory and sweet flavors. I love the Midnight Rollo… Caramel corn with dark chocolate. I think Campbell’s popcorn in Ohio City is slightly better. But if you go into Crazy But True and pick your flavors from Dave, he will make it a fun tasting and buying experience!

We happened upon this place whilst walking around Hudson for the first time, and being that I have a small addiction to popcorn, my boyfriend made us go look in here. I protested, knowing I’d walk out with something, but I’m glad we went in.
The marvelous Miss Merry waited on us, and since we were the only people in the store at the moment, she gave us all her focus and we had a lot of fun. Being that it was our first time in any store like this, she gave us the rundown on how CBT does things, including talking to us about ingredients and how they make some of the stuff. She let us sample a bunch, and I originally strayed toward the savory (I usually hate caramel corn and thought I’d hate any other type of sweet popcorn). I tried out the Loaded Potato and decided to get a small bag of that. Then she let us try out some of the sweet flavors, and I was totally surprised. First was the Premium Apple Pie, which BOTH my boyfriend and I fell head over heels for (and he’s not a big sweets person, period). We grabbed a medium bag of that to go, too.
We tried a few more, and decided that we were good for now, but we’d definitely be back. It was $ 12 for the two, but it was worth it. The small bags are nice to just get yourself a little treat every once in awhile, and the medium are big enough that they’ll actually last you awhile. We probably wouldn’t get Premium flavors all the time, either, as that definitely drove up the price.
This was probably the best part of our little visit to Hudson, too. Just sayin.

Disclaimer: I LOVE their popcorn — especially «cotton candy» which does not taste like cotton candy but rather a sugary popcorn delight. However, I think the popcorn is rather on the pricey side. (But what isn’t in Hudson?)
Anyways, I was disappointed on my most recent visit this Thursday AM when the lady behind the counter took TWO phone calls while trying to give me my popcorn which was very inconvenient seeing I was there with a 3 year old and a 1 year old. I set my cash on the counter — exact change — and she just stared at it while talking on the phone forever. Totally rude.

Gourmet popcorn isn’t really anything new and unusual. Crazy But True, however, does offer new and unusual flavors. Pizza, buckeye, white chocolate raspberry, the list goes on and on (no really, there are 50 flavors). My favorite Pumpkin Mocha. Yeah, you read the right. Pumpkin. Mocha. Popcorn. Hello, delicious. The mastermind behind this flavor warned me that it might be a bit too pumpkiny. I scoffed. There’s no such thing as too much pumpkin. He scoffed back saying, «Trust me, there is. I botched this one.» I asked for a sample. And then I fell in love. Seriously, there is no such thing as too much pumpkin. The popcorn had that delicious sweet pumpkin taste perfectly mixed with a bit of pumpkin spice, with a touch of milk chocolate mocha. I’ll sat it again. Love. I didn’t hesitate to spend $ 3 on a small bag of the stuff. I will note that it is so potent (yet delicious) that I couldn’t eat more than a handful in one sitting. It’s just that satisfying. But this is a delicious treat that will happily last me many days.
Pay these creative minds a visit if you find yourself in the quant town of Hudson. They dole out free samples like crazy, so you have no reason not to try them.
