I came here for breakfast today, but was very disappointed with my food. i had been here once before and had a delicious egg sandwich. anyway, after debating, I ordered the polenta with greens and poached eggs, a dish I usually order when I see it in a menu. it was way too salty, and I don’t know why I didn’t say anything, but I’ll never order that again there. I think I was overcharged as well, because it came out to over $ 13 for the polenta($ 10) and a coffee($ 2.50 max), but tax is a lot in NY. anyway, when I’m spending that much on breakfast, it’s gotta taste better than that! next time I’m in Hudson, I’ll try a different place.

Food here is delicious. Minimal coffee options and no changes/substitutions allowed to your orders made me give them 4 stars instead of 5.

We always get the same thing: torn bread with poached eggs, served on a bed of bitter greens. YUM. The torn bread’s like massive, chewy croutons, and the runny yolk mellows out the arugula. All delish. Took away one star for lack of seating, esp on a Sunday morning.

YUMM! I could eat the torn bread and poached eggs for breakfast every. damn. day. Go for it! This place is amazing! Don’t forget a pastry for the road. Their maple pecan confection is divine.

Worth the wait. The Kate Smith bialy is decadent and not to be missed.

Came here because of all the rave reviews. I regret not getting a bialy. I had the polenta which was so beyond salty, it was hard to taste anything else. Also, the poached egg it came with was overcooked(i.e. the yolk was cooked all the way through). My boyfriend did enjoy his egg sandwich and noted the quality of the bread. Get here early on the weekends if you want a seat.

I don’t know how they do it, but this bakery could quite possibly be the best bakery in the entire Northeast. The interior can be as simple as it needs to be, the staff can fluctuate between happy and barely able to deal with the horrors of its own popularity, but I will always return for more. I can’t help myself. I am addicted.

I dream about this place. I was in Hudson last summer for an artist workshop and I went here EVERYDAY. the baked goods are some of the best I’ve ever had, real rustic artisanal handmade baked goods, The beautiful to look at and heavenly to eat kind. Also the food is perfect. If you’re the kind of person who likes«new American» style healthy but hearty, this place is it. Mushroom toast is my favorite thing on the menu. Staff is very sweet and hip. It’s adorable inside and they have a little area out front with tables too. I want to go back to Hudson just for this bakery.

Best chicken stock with vegetables and toast ever. The bread was crispy homemade whole wheat brushed in garlic and olive oil. Small seating area and friendly counter woman. I wish I could eat here daily.

Rude staff. Great food. Same experience 3 times in a row. The food was delicious enough to get breakfast there twice me lunch once. But really, it felt like they didn’t want us or our business each time. How can they make such great food and be so obnoxious to the customers? It’s not like I’m difficult or a poor tipper.

Great, great bread, but very strict about following rules I came in and asked for a toasted bialy. No go, since it was 12 minutes past noon, when breakfast ended. I asked whether a toasted bialy was considered bfast and was told in no uncertain terms and tone that it was. Too strict for my taste.

Wow. I think that was the BEST coffee I’ve ever had. It wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet and had subtle notes of sweet flavors.(Cardamom?) I wish they were closer to where I live. I’d prob go every day before work. The staff are so nice and knowledgeable. I could see the bakers in the back. They were working hard to put out fresh baked goods. The store is well organized and clean. Baked goods presented nicely. I tried the Bialy toasted with cream cheese. So good. Glad I tried this place.

I drank the kook-aid and now declare I love Bonfiglio. Fabulous, creative, delicious funky breakfasts! It is breakfast and bread. Pizzas for lunch too. Pastries not their strong suit tho.

I don’t live in Hudson anymore — and Bonfiglio didn’t exist when I did — but somehow this bakery has become a must visit destination every time I’m home from LA. This place is so legit. Every restaurant in Hudson should count their lucky stars they have the option to serve Bonfiglio bread. Today I had heirloom tomato in toast w mayonnaise; the perfect end of summer staple that proves amazing can be made w just 3 ingredients. I usually get the cinnamon bun which is beyond good. It could put Tartine in SF on watch. And so glad they added cold brew to the menu because honestly their coffee wasn’t so great. I’ve also has the burger and it was really good too. Basic but all super dialed toppings. Maybe Grazin should take note.(Or eat a hamburger outside of Hudson) Service is great too. Stacy was very sweet. The

Bonfiglio and Bread is my very favorite place to stop in Hudson. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. I order the poached eggs and torn bread every time I go here for a quick breakfast and it is perfect every time. Similarly, the lunch specials never fail to disappoint. The prices are very reasonable too. The only letdown is there is not much room to sit– if you are looking for a sit-down restaurant, this would likely not be the best venue. Also, there is a $ 10 minimum for credit cards. Love love love this place!

This place was cute, had great service, and delicious food. The ladies working the counter were adorable and really kind. As far as food, the ham and cheese pastry was our favorite.

Jumped in for a quick breakfast. It was hard to choose an order from so many tasty options. Ended up with a bialy with cream cheese and greens that totally hit the spot! Of course I had to have a taste of their famous cinnamon buns as well. I am a convert! This is a great place for a delicious breakfast or brunch. It’s better as a to go as it is very busy with few seating options but definitely worth the wait.

Amazingly delicious and creative selection for breakfast and lunch. Had the Poached Egg and Alvarado Bowl(w/croutons, yogurt, chili oil, bacon bits, a slime zest). Breakfast done right, wish I could have this everyday. After that I was full, but the baked goods looked great so went for it. Had some apple special and a cinnamon roll. Yes I had two and both were money. Farm to table

Great addition to Hudson’s food scene. I knew the bread was delicious, but had no idea how good their food is. I had a wonderful bialy with eggs and kale for breakfast. The bialy was cooked perfectly and would have been lovely on its own. We also had an egg sandwich on quinoa bread that was just as delicious as the bialy egg over kale. I am impressed. Come here for an espresso, bread, breakfast, or some soup. You will not be disappointed.
