Mediocre Indian fast food @ gourmet restaurant prices, stingy portions. This place used to be 5 Guys Burgers, which inexplicably shut down a couple years ago rather abruptly. The 5 Guys at this location thrived, so you would think another fast food joint with semi-decent food would do well. I stopped in around 3:00pm, it was basically deserted save 1 table, the chef/owner, and a guy working the counter. The menu seemed really pretentious, I’ve been to nearly every Houston area Indian restaurant and have never seen a menu or dishes like it. The whole«design your own roll» was really confusing. Why not keep it simple? I figured since I was at an Indian restaurant, I’d order a traditional Indian dish; chicken tikka masala with rice to go. Initially the counter guy told me it couldn’t be ordered that way, and I’d have to get one of their«rolls» and customize it. WTF? Again, I’ve never seen anything like this so as I was about to walk out he checked with the owner/chef who graciously approved my dish. I could order chicken tikka masala with a side of rice after all. The food took no more than 10 minutes, ok fine. I wasn’t expecting to pay more than $ 10 – 12; the standard rate at any sit-down Indian restaurant. This was fast food so I figured maybe $ 8 – 10? Well guess what, the bill was $ 16 and some change. I didn’t question it, I just paid and left with my food, expecting at least a decent meal. I got home to see just how bad of a rip-off this place was. I received a pint size(16 oz.) container of chicken tikka masala, and only an 8 oz(cup size) side of rice. Ridiculous! How are you even supposed to eat that much chicken tikka masala with half the quantity of rice? What a joke… they really dropped the ball on that one. The food itself was pretty bland with little flavor. It didn’t even taste like Indian food. I’ve tasted better at nearly every other restaurant I’ve been to, so this one ranks at the bottom of the barrel. I was left feeling hungry and ripped off. Needless to say, I won’t ever be back. Avoid this place if you can, there are dime a dozen better Indian restaurants scattered all over Energy Corridor.

Wish there were negative stars. This is not express and the taste is awful. I wasted money I wish I had donated to a charity.

This place doesn’t make me happy anymore… Two stars for service but food going downhill sorry! Was here recently and yet again I was served sub par food. Tasted like spaghetti sauce with cream no thanks I won’t be back

Stopped by for lunch and came away pleased with another option for casual Indian food in the area. It is indeed somewhat set up like an Indian Chipotle in concept, which is actually a good thing, especially if you’re looking for a good lunch option. I had a chicken wrap and it was decent. The staff was very nice and explained many of the menu options. Overall, it was decent and I’ll probably come back for lunch again.

This is a decent Indian place. Quiet and clean therefore they get two stars. The food is great since it is aimed at being a fast food place, however the prices are not aimed at that. Curries for dinner are pricey even for actual sit down Indian restaurants. Not sure if it’s due to it being one of few Indian restaurants in the area or they just don’t know how to price the food lol Anyways I don’t think I will be returning just because the prices are a little high.

I’ve been here twice now for takeout dinner and delighted in my meals each time. I was a bit apprehensive when I first went in because it was completely empty; however, it was a very clean, bright and comfortable atmosphere. The lady who greeted me at the counter(where you order) was very helpful in explaining how the lunch menu worked. It sounds good and I will have to come back to try it. I have only been here for dinner though, so I have only tried the typical vegetarian curry style dishes. So far I’ve had the samosas, Dal Makhani, Paneer Tikka W’akna, Saag Paneer, Garlic Naan and Regular Naan. They even made my daughter a dish with just Chicken Tikka with no sauce and rice. Everything we have had has been bursting with flavor and seemed ‘lighter’(ie. less greasy and fatting) than other places we’ve been. My man loves the saag paneer, as its heavy on the spinach and light on the cream. I loved all the dishes, but really enjoyed the Dal Makhani. The samosas are great, but the first time they were only served with the tamarin sauce, so I made sure to ask for mint chutney the next time we came. This has really been my new go to for Indian food cravings nights when I just want to pick it and take it home! We’ll certainly be back.

Not that great. Mango lassi was good. Wraps were ok. The filling in the wraps was very bland. Hope they would add more flavor to it.

Laid back place with good food with indian quantities. Reminds us of the good road side food back home!

After leaving this place I had same impression as another poster. Seems like an Indian version of Chipotle. I really don’t know much about Indian food other than having curry or chicken tikka masala a few times and not being overwhelmed with it. I ended up with a chicken burrito that was pretty good, but it was wrapped differently and it fell apart as I ate it. Seemed a little on the pricy side, but I’ll go back.

This place was really quite lovely. When you walk up to the counter, everything is laid out kind of like a Chipotle or a Subway. The lady who took my order was super helpful. I got the chicken tikka kathi roll and it was really good. All the veggies that I added to it tasted fresh, and the tamarind chutney had a great flavor. Definitely get the samosas! They were DELICIOUS. The thing I liked most about this place(besides the food) was how nice the employees were. Obviously, you go to a restaurant for the food, but the atmosphere and the service goes a long way. I loved this place and would definitely recommend it if you’re hankering for some Indian food, but you don’t have a ton of time to actually sit down to a full blown Indian dinner. A lot of people are complaining about it being overpriced, but if you’re so worried about money, why are you going out to eat anyway? Besides, the prices are on their website! It’s not a secret. Anyway, this place is worth it. I will definitely be back!

If I had an option I would give it 0 stars, not even a star, because in the lunch plate, they won’t even give you rice enough to Fill the plate and then when I ask why was I given half the quantity, the server said if you want more ill charge you $ 4 when the lunch itself is $ 8. It’s a horrible place with horrible service where everything is over priced and not tasty, For instance a biryani here(which is not even good) will cost you $ 15! Goto«Biryani Pot» and buy dum biryani for $ 10, you get more quantity and amazing quality! Also, for lunch, goto«Yaal tiffins» for quality food and good healthy food! Or goto«Abhiruchi» Just don’t go to this place, you would regret!

Except ambience and Naan., Terrible food to eat. Restaurant owner is confused whether to make it bistro or a proper restaurant. And confusion go with food also. I visited here twice, once with friends and again with family, no improvements. Some specifics: — two persons trying to manage kitchen, register, serving and handling makes customers overall experience bad. — no Indian taste in any food, loosing ground on basics. — overpriced My son first time hated the«paneer tikka masala» in a restaurant.

More of a bistro than a true restaurant. I’d recommend this place more for lunch than dinner. Personally, I liked the food. I thought it was quite overpriced though($ 48 for 2 garlic breads and two entrees). I had the Lamb with Tamarind. Very flavorful. The garlic bread was thin and crispy. Would I return. Maybe.

I’m sorry but this place was terrible. We arrived there for dinner and their«pick and choose» menu was gone. We were offered a paper dinner menu and wife and I got the chicken curry and palak paneer. Maybe because it was late in the day and the employees didn’t want to be there but the dinner was horrible. It was bland and tasted as if it was froZen. The portions were very small and 40.00 for one order of naan, chicken curry, and palak paneer the siZe and taste of frozen TV dinners. I won’t return as there are better options in the area– Nirvana, Ashiana, Curry Bistro just to name a few.

Think Subway version of a Indian Sandwich/Roll shop. The same concept pretty much. Wait in line. When you’re up you get to pick the bread, wrap, etc. Then pick out the meats, pick out the veggies, pick out the sauces, and add any additional. Lately, I’ve mixed and matched sauces to create different flavors. The Franky style is my favorite which is just a fresh egg cooked on a tawa with the bread. This egg changes up the flavors in the best way imaginable. The meat is pretty bland and boring but at least the sauces cover it up. I don’t overload it with too many veggies. Once it’s all said and done get ready to fork over $ 9+(unless they recently changed prices). It’s pretty expensive for this type of dish but I imagine it’s due to the rent and the location of this establishment. For the price and the meat quality I don’t see myself eating here often but when I feel like getting a Kati Roll fix then I’ll stop by since it’s very close to my office.

Definitely a quick and very casual restaurant. More along the lines of a fast food joint. Order at the front left of the counter. Menu is really small and simple. You will compile your order from left to right with the items on the menu and add extras behind the sneeze glass similar to how subway works. Collect your food and pay at the counter. Seat yourself. Restaurant is really clean and staff was eager to help. They use a tablet with cards, sign with your finger. Even though the menu was small and simple I was still a bit confused with it due to its layout and since i’m not entirely familiar with Indian food. I ended up with something similar to a small burrito which had lamb and took a Lasse drink. Cost was $ 13 which I felt was way too much $ for what I received. I could have gotten the cost down to 7 – 9 without the drink and lamb filling so it is my fault. The food was acceptable however the«hottest» spice level was not hot, even with added jalapenos. No free extras like bread, and no side items were offered. Just didn’t seem like a lot of options or items and the meal was over quickly. Overall I probably wont go back although I can’t say I don’t recommend the place.
