Service is good and food is also good. This is a mixture of typical North Indian variety in food with mix of veg and non veg. Good place for family and couple to enjoy and dine in the evening.

First time at this restaurant and we loved it! Great service and decorations. We got chutneys and crackers within about 30 seconds of sitting down. Food was served within about 10 minutes. Chicken tikka and paneer saag were both amazing. Owner stopped by to ask how everything was and seemed very interested in making this restaurant as good as possible. Only slight thing we didn’t like was you are charged for rice and we didn’t get very much so we left with leftover entrees but will need to make rice at home to eat with. We will definitely be back! Best Indian we’ve found so far in Houston

I attended a party at this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised at how well decorated the restaurant was. Normally South Asian restaurants focus on the food and the ambience is severely lacking. But not here. This place looked great from the inside and their customer service was excellent too. I went for a tea party so I was not able to try a lot of items. But the items that they did have were delicious. I definitely want to come back here for dinner. It is very rare to find such a clean and well decorated South Asian restaurant. I would definitely consider this place for the next party or dinner out.

This is by far best indian restaurant in Houston. As a indian food lover, I gave most of indian restaurants a try and was disappointed about the quality of food. My family and I have been 3 times in this restaurant and was really impressed by the quality of food and service. We had Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Chops, and TAJ signature grill; to be honest I loved all. Their Chicken Tikka Masala undoubtably is the best in town and the lamp chops are super tender and well marinated. The nan is also very delicious. I have also had great experience with the service. Next time have to try their lunch buffet.

Brightly lit and decently decorated. Good things abt this place stops here. I had a horrible experience with their service n food. First off its an Indian Pakistani restaurant. But they treat brown-skinned customers like shit. When the supervisor took our order he had NO courtesy to ask for spice level. The food — both Dal Makini and Chicken tikka were extremely bland. After the food was served he never stopped by to check on us. Now this wouldn’t have mattered at all if he did it to all customers. But No. While we were having our dinner a white couple occupied the next table and he was courteous to them, checked on them promptly etc. Their to go service is all the more bad. This was on a different day. We ordered Samosa Chaat n Paratha for a to go. It took 45 mins for them to bring it. I will never return.

My Family and I wen there a couple times since it opened. The lunch buffet was great, and fresh. I loved the Tikka Masala. It was flavorful with some kick, unlike some of the saltier versions you find elsewhere. We enjoyed it so much we came back for dinner the next week! The wait staff are very pleasant, the décor is great, and we enjoyed the food immensely. Glad there is a great place near by!

Very nice food. Their daal tadka is to die for — yet to have better daal. We had biryani and steamed rice. Both very good. Loved the chutneys they served with the papads. Definitely coming back. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because of the limited vegetarian choices — I’m veg.

Living in the Energy Corridor, there are a lot of options for Indian cuisine, and some very good deals on Lunch Buffet if you look around. This place opened back in January, and since its opening there hasn’t been much of a crowd here, especially compared to restaurants like Nirvana. That being the case, my wife and I stayed away from this place for a while just because we weren’t sure, but yesterday we decided to give the lunch buffet a go. In general, the food was decent. The fried chicken, chicken tikka masala, and rice pudding were the highlights for me, whereas the more«traditional» dishes on the buffet weren’t as striking. The naan was fresh. Decent atmosphere, although it is a little strange how the dining area is separated into two large rooms. It makes the place feel more empty than it actually is. Service was OK. Very hands-off approach for the buffet, which I appreciate.

Since it opened sometime late January or early February my family has been there almost every week for dinner. Food is wonderful. Got to try Butter Chicken & Lachha Paratha-DELICIOUS. Ambiance is beautiful, the owner has spent some time & $$$$(it shows). Very unique!!! Customer service was slow @ 1st. but they are starting to pick up giving good customer service with a smile. It takes time to get perfect & in time Taj will(just like the real thing)!!! :-)

The food was 3.5 stars, coffee 1 star, décor 2 stars and the service three stars… Stupid TV in the background 0 stars — thankful they turned it off. Very good butter chicken, rice and other items I can’t recite — seems to cater to Indians, seems legit! However, I don’t know if that is a good thing or bad thing. Huge dining area broken into two halves, but it made the place feel a little lonely… All that said — I am stuffed!!! Once again, not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing.
