History

Established in 2003.

Dr. Kristi Sumpter opened Winds of Change in Houston at the original Jones Road location in January 2003. Today, we are proud to announce our new office location at 12 827 Jones Road, between Grant Road and Cypress North Houston. A project two years in the making, the building was custom built with patients and our staff in mind to optimize your experience. Making the move is a step toward better servicing our patients.

A graduate of the University of Texas, Dr. Sumpter earned her medical degree from the University of North Texas in Fort Worth, completed a general surgery residency at Botsford General Hospital and underwent additional surgical training at the Detroit Medical Center, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Saginaw General Hospital and the University Medical Center. She completed a cosmetic surgery fellowship recognized by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and undertook additional cosmetic surgery training in Beverly Hills.

She has been selected as one of Houston’s Top Docs by H Texas magazine for multiple years, is Board Certified by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association, Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society, the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the American Medical Association.
