History

Established in 2012.

The Pastry of DreamsTM was born from the inspiration of a French-​Mexican/​American duo that has already made a sensation in Provence, France.

After winning a contest against a Michelin Star Pastry Chef earlier last year, the husband-​wife team is delighted to entertain Houstonians with their flavor-​driven sweets.

Elizabeth, a Mexican-​American pastry chef and Texas A&M bio-​chemistry major, was raised in Houston and trained in France.

Sébastien, a French restaurant manager, was born and raised in Southern France trained in the United Kingdom, France, the Pacific Ocean and the United States.

Not since my visit to Paris have I had macarons this fantastic. I ordered some for my client to thank them as our contract came to a close. Sebastien and Elizabeth delivered on time and even advised me on how to pack them to overnight to my client’s offices in Dallas. They were a hit with the guys up there.
I will be ordering from Pastry of Dreams in the future… hope they become a storefront in the near future. I need to try their other pastries and a walk up storefront would make that all too easy!

The best macarons!!! We’ve tried places in Houston and other cities but in no comparison to Pastry of Dreams. It’s the closest to Ladurée in France. We are excited to have awesome French desserts in our own hometown.

The benefit of having family in France is that I travel there somewhat regularly and get to sample authentic French cuisine everytime. And with my large and discerning sweet tooth, I am left longing for French pastries in the interim. The Pastry of Dreams is aptly named because this is the first time I have found authentic French pastries in the US, a dream come true for sure.
They are known for their macarons, and that reputation is deserved. In this case, quantity of flavors does not diminish quality. Each and every flavor I tried was exceptional. If I had to choose a favorite, though, it would be rose.
Unfortunately for me, I’ve only had the opportunity to try the macarons. If they’re any indication, I’m missing out on so many other delicious delights. I’m counting down the days until I can visit Houston again and visit pastry heaven, aka The Pastry of Dreams.

The macaroons are simply TO DIE FOR! They are the most delicious things you have put in your mouth — ever. Seriously. And the presentation/​visual appeal is perfect too. They use only the finest and freshest ingredients for these, and EVERYTHING is made from scratch, down to the most minute detail. The phenomenal taste of these pastries reflect the meticulous effort and attention to detail they were created with. The flavours and the variety of the types of pastries, truly showcases The Pastry of Dreams’ culinary creativity. You MUST try these! After eating them, you too will have Deams about these pastries. The company has won several awards, and the chef’s French training and great amount of time spent mastering technique is quite evident, resulting in inimitable macarons and pastries. I would highly recommend them to anyone — as perfect as Laudree (and sometimes even better!). My mouth is watering just thinking of The Pastry of Dreams’ macarons.
