Tanglewood Flower & Garden

My favorite florist! They make beautiful arrangements and have flowers for your yard, potted plants and lots of different gifts. Beautiful hanging baskets to lemon trees. They also deliver lit Christmas trees! They can do it all!

I called first to find out who to talk with. The lady on the phone said to come in person and talk with the owner, Mory. I went the next day, and was happily surprised by the beautiful store and the wonderful service. Mory could not have been nicer. He made an appointment to come look at my tiny lanai and existing flower beds (empty). I told him I didn’t like the trees that were in there because of dead leaves all winter, so he included tree removal in the price, which was very reasonable. He carefully explored what kind of plants I like and even offered to get it done the very next day! I was blown away! In just a few hours I had the lanai of my dreams! He even offered to send someone over while I was on vacation the next week to water the garden for me. I could not have been happier with the landscaping, the results, and the service! And all at a reasonable price!

Not sure how I feel about this place due to mixed feelings with my order.
I had ordered a day or two in advance for a graduation lei for my little bro who was graduating from UT. The person on the phone had assured me that the florist would be about to do this special order with the UT colors of white and burnt orange as I had desired. My total came to about $ 80 which seemed to me pretty steep, but I rolled with it anyway because I really wanted to keep to tradition.
When I had come to pick up the lei, the first thing I noticed was how small those burnt orange flowers they had used and how little of them they had applied to the lei. However, since they knew that I would be driving to Austin, they did specially wrap the lei in a box and spritzed it thoroughly so that it wouldn’t dry out. Everything had held up nicely until I actually took the lei out of the box, and then it fell apart literally. About a handful of flowers just dropped to the floor because the string wasn’t tied properly. I had fixed it before giving to my little bro, which by the way he absolutely loved and kept thanking me for, but it’s just the hassle involved and thinking how much I paid for. Like really. You couldn’t double knot it or something? Definitely not worth what I paid for.

I was greeted in a very friendly and welcoming manner. I needed a plant or some flowers for my mother, and I found this place on Unilocal.I ended up getting some azaleas for under $ 15! Very affordable and beautifully kept plants. He even gave me a pretty pink rose just for coming. Would recommend this to anyone.

Tanglewood came through with a beautiful, customized, and last-​minute hanging basket for my uncle who is an avid gardener. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about various options for outdoor plants. It turned out to be a special gift since we were out of town.

Great florist! I needed some flowers delivered same day, within a few hours, and they delivered a beautiful bouquet. Price was good and the flowers got non-​stop compliments. My wife is still talking about how great the arrangements were.

Over all my experience here could not have gone any worse than it did. I placed my order two days in advance. When I got there it wasn’t ready so they put something together in about 10min. By the time they were done I was already going to be late to pick my wife up for lunch on Valentines Day and did not have time to voice my frustration. The arrangement they brought out was not what I asked for and the owner/​manager still charged me full price! Then that weekend someone tried to withdraw $ 500 from my account fraudulently. The only time my card was out of my sight is when I handed it to him at the store after he realized he «misplaced» the information that I gave him over the phone two days before. Fast forward a few weeks; I log on to my bank account and see that he double charged me. So then I finally decide to call and complain and all he offers is a «twice as pretty» of an arrangement next time (yeah right!) and said it would take him a day or two to make sure that he did in fact charge me twice. As far as one of his employees and/​or himself stealing my info, he said, it’s happened to him once before on his credit card… Thanks for NOTHING Tanglewood Flowers & Garden!

I have been going to Tanglewood for years and Maury always delivers on flower quality and arrangements. I go here for quality alone because his flowers last longer and look better.
My last visit I asked if he could put together a surprise arrangement for my wife in two hours. He said no problem and I ran my errands. Came back early and they were ready (see pic).

For the size of the store, there are lots of different types of plants to buy, BUT the service is unwelcoming. Firstly, I came in and I asked about some marigolds (or same type) but while she was explaining other flowers a man interrupted. Instead of telling him she was with a customer, she totally ignored me so I went inside. She never apologized for her rudeness, she just had someone else help me several moments later. Well, he told me he was getting some more flowers the next day and to come back the next afternoon. I waited 2 days to return, and the same woman told me to come back Monday. She had the demeanor like she wanted me gone, so I don’t think I will come back there. The only reason why I came back was because the man was much more welcoming and more suited for customer service.

I stopped by Tanglewood Flower and Garden to pick up some flowers last week. I was impressed by Tanglewood’s atmosphere, service, and gorgeous arrangements. They have pretty seasonal themed arrangements, but also just some really elegant, modern, and beautiful arrangements. You can call them directly to place an order, and I’m sure they’ll come up with something you’ll love that is more unique than the run-​of-​the-​mill grocery store or mass online floral retailer arrangement, and at a better price too.
