Smoothie King

The smoothie are made better here for some odd reason. Oh, the parking it’s so awful and limited space. The drive through is super tight as well.

One of the better smoothie king’s in the area. They are more consistent wIth my smoothie vs the location off of taylor st. Their customer service is a bit underwhelming here though. Usually, smoothie king ask you for extras to add to your smoothie and your name for the order. This location does neither from my experience. It’s more like you give them your order, they say ok, pull around.(Drive thru). Not a big deal for me though, sometimes asking all that extra stuff annoys me. Parking here is pretty much non-​existent. Pulling into the drive thru if you’re coming down westheimer is a big pain in the ass if the drive thru is already packed.

I loveee Smoothie King but the red headed guy with facial hair that works there on Friday mornings is SO. RUDE. Not sure if it’s a personal vendetta against me because I didn’t know that you ordered at the speaker the first time I went, or if you just hates his job. Either way, you’re not making any friends that way buddy. Also location could be better.

So. Slow. I have been waiting in line for the past 10 minutes. One vehicle is in front of me. Ridiculous.

I have been to a lot of smoothie kings in my time, and I must say that this is the best one. I love how they are open early in the morning and pretty late at night. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I only come to this location through the drive thru and they recognize my voice and remember my order. This is a great staff and they always make my smoothies extra thick like I request!

This Smoothie King feels like a rat trap, or maybe maze perhaps? It is situated on a busy intersection of Montrose and Westheimer with two entrance/​exits poorly placed that you find yourself not sure how to execute your trip into and out of their drive thru.
Minus there poorly thought out location, I’ve always had great service here, always super friendly. Its situated along the ride home from work, and makes for a great stop when I’ve missed my lunch altogether and don’t want to engorge with dinner only a few hours away. My go to is always the Chocolate Slim-​n-​Trim, and I have it skinny-​ed? skinnied? skin-​need, ha whatever suites your fancy. Make it a skinny!
Had the little with me today and decided to give him a taste of the smoothie goodness. He thoroughly enjoyed his Lil Angel: Strawberries, Bananas, Kids Multi-​Vitamin Enhancer. At two he kept telling me it was a big smoothie, and honestly it was a lot bigger than I expected for a kids smoothie.

Not my favorite Smoothie King. It’s on an awkward corner of Montrose and Westheimer, which makes it kind of difficult to enter and exit. Also — it’s a drive thru, which is convenient, I guess. And is it just me or do they have an older menu?

Love their Green Tea Tango with banana! I usually order a fruity option when I visit, like their light and fluffy smoothie. Today however, I decided to try something different because I was in need of an afternoon pick me up during my mid-​day crash. I have tried Starbucks green tea frappacino and didn’t like it, so I was a little worried with my selection of the green tea tango, hoping it would not taste the same. Thankfully I did not! It has of course a green tea taste but a so much better recipe! The smoothie was delicious and I’m already craving it again! Can’t wait to go back to order it! Only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is an expensive snack. $ 9.00 for a medium.

Can you really go wrong with a fruit smoothie on a hot day? And you don’t have to get out of your air conditioned car to get it… And a sweet smiling young lady hands it to you… I don’t think so!
The new Peach Papaya Greek Yogurt Smoothie is yummy and my now new favorite. My old fav was the MangoFest. I haven’t had a bad one here yet, but these are my summer coolers right now :) You can also add in any enhancers you wish to make it a complete meal. And subbing out a smoothie for a meal is a great way to keep your energy up, get in your fruits and veggies and not feel weighed down from food and the Texas heat!

I like to go to this Smoothie King after a nice workout and when I feel too tired and lazy to make my own shake. They don’t really have much space to park, so I typically go through the drive-​thru. The only reason I won’t give this place the full 5-​stars is just because they are very pricey.

I often switch between this location and the one near I-​10/​Sawyer, as I live between the two. I usually get a high-​protein or «shredder» smoothie.
A major plus of the I-​10/​Sawyer location is they often have «buy one get one free» enhancers. I can’t knock the Westheimer/​Montrose location for not having that, it’s just an added «plus» if I go to the other store.
This Smoothie King (Westheimer/​Montrose) is convenient and usually does a good job.
Once I pulled up in the morning for a quick breakfast smoothie; the side door was wide open, I couldn’t see anyone inside, and then I noticed the gentleman sitting on the curb having a cigarette. I just kept on driving and went to Starbucks.
That one particular instance aside (which hasn’t happened since), there’s only one thing that really «irks» me about coming here.
I hand them my credit card, which comes back through the window on a clunky clipboard — I have to fill out the «tip» blank.
Effing really?
I just paid $ 9 for a smoothie, and I’m meant to feel guilty for not adding gratuity… This is a drive-​thru transaction — not a restaurant; I have not been waited on. Other Smoothie King locations do NOT do this.
If the owner or employees wanted to leave a tip jar/​receptacle by the window, I’d find that perfectly reasonable. But passing a clipboard back and forth — when they don’t really even need your signature — is just unnecessary.

Nice location I tried the peanut butter power recharge and it was great. I ended having to wait awhile and the manager made me a large instead. Nice staff

I love stopping here after a good workout and getting the chocolate lean 1– no other smoothie king in the area makes it as good as this location. However I have 2 complaints.
For one, a small costs 6.27 at this location. Up 25 cents from last year which isn’t huge, unless you come here as often as I do. The other smoothie kings charge 5.40 and have a loyalty program, something lacking here. Or at least I’ve never been told about it.
Second when you pay with a credit card in the drive through, they give you a receipt like at the restaurant where you feel obligated to tip, or write a big fat zero, neither of which I like doing. You’re already charging me a dollar more than the other smoothie kings. Now I have to tip too?
In spite of that, I know the quality is there and it is convenient so I will continue to be a loyal customer. It would be nice if you threw in a free smoothie from time to time though.

Went through the drive thru on a very rainy day– and while the staff was very friendly– they gave me a completely different beverage from what I ordered. Luckily I liked my new random beverage because I didn’t taste it till I’d already driven down the road.
Boo for the mistake… But the drive thru girl was so dang cheerful.

So lets see. The place is super small but for it’s size, very well put together. It’s clean and the staff is friendly. As for my shake… *sigh*. I look down at my cup, take a deep breath, wrap my lips around that big red straw feeling the cool plastic and suck so hard my a$$ puckers… and then it happens… AWESOME TASTE!!! That’s right! It freaking tastes awesome and as protein in it, and fruits, and supplements that I can use because I… I. I. I work out. I look over and my buddy is having a tastegasm too. Because that’s what happens when you share the King’s smoothie. *whispers* that is just what happens.
So there. GO to the smoothie king and see for yourself.

Light and fluffy!
After taking two back-​to-​back classes (zumba and weight lifting), I decided that my body needed to be replenished with something somewhat healthy. I just couldn’t put my finger on it since I was already running late and didn’t have time to make something myself.
Well… luckily, the smoothie king (which replaced the Taco Cabana) on Montrose and Westheimer was nearby.
I ordered a light and fluffy, and it was moderately satisfying. While it fulfilled the need to drink something somewhat healthy, I was a bit concerned about the artificial bright red things they pumped in there. So I sipped about half of the drink, and vowed to try out other options in the future like Jamba Juice or Roots Juice.
So in pinch, I think it gets the job done. But, seriously, why did the Taco C have to leave?

I was shock that this particular location was not on Unilocal.I driven by it plenty of times and must say it’s one of the worst locations around as far as parking. They have 3 spots that are in a row parking, so basically you have 1 spot, if you’re really lucky 2. But there is a drive through and boy does the drive through get a work out. I love smoothie king as a replacement for meals. It’s very tasty, I used to always just get the angel food or carribean way, but lately I’ve been getting the mangosteen.
