Ordered delivery. Did not take too long and the food was excellent.

My family and I have been going to Skewers for almost 25 years! Love it and never dissapoints!

We got there by chance since we went to Costco and were starving.
We don’t regret it! We asked for the skewers of course and they are amazing! The beef was really fresh and almost melted in our mouths! The side grilled veggies were also really good and the house salad had really crispy lettuce. Some of the food is organic (not sure if all) so you know you are eating healthy. The apple bread pudding is deliciously sinful. I would have given it five stars if it wasn’t for the super slow waitress. We will go back!

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here yesterday evening! I went w/​a coworker and we started off the meal w/​a sampler platter, it had hummus, & a couple of other spreads I cannot remember the names of, one was cream cheese based & the other had an extreme smoky flavor thay my friend LOVED! My favorite was the cream cheese based spread. I had a gyro wrap that came with fries and a simple green salad. It was sooooooo delicious! Miriam waited on us, she was attentive & friendly. Chuck, the owner/​manager came by the table a couple of times to check on us as well making us feel welcomed & valued. We were told they have belly dancers and music on Saturday evenings. My friend & I will definitely be back for more! Make sure you go to, the food is super delish & fresh!

We had the best night ever at this place — by the time we left it felt like we had just been hanging out with family. What a welcoming place with amazing people! Thank you for everything.
As for the food, it was delicious & seemed like it was made with all fresh ingredients. Even the garlic sauce was just garlic & olive oil (not mayo or anything). My father is Saudi Arabian and therefore I have been exposed to authentic Middle Eastern food. Because of that, I admit I have standards when it comes to food from that region. Oh, and the belly dancing and music was a bonus. We even got up and sang and danced. Anyway, back to the food. This place fit the bill. My two friends I brought with me had never seen belly dancing or eaten authentic Middle Eastern food, and they loved it too. So, regardless of whether or not you’re familiar or unfamiliar w/​the food, I recommend Skewers.
I’ve read some very negative reviews. My reaction to those for future customers is: If you are uptight or if you are unable to take responsibility for your own actions (such as parking illegally), then you should avoid this place. They have plenty of others who appreciate the great vibe of the restaurant and the friendly staff.

Delivery guy was sooo so sweet and let me know that they took extra care not to add any allergens to my complicated order. Will definitely order again! He was so nice and attentive, it totally made my whole day! Smiles!!! :D

I had a great Shwarma! I did find it to be a bit pricy. I don’t think I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quick bite or prime meat.

I just had the best Mediterranean lunch in the USA so far ! Fresh, tasty, authentic !

Do not even try to go here! The property doesn’t have enough parking and the owners of Skewers WILL tow your car away if you don’t park where THEY want you to. You’ll also get profanity laced abuse from both the owner and his wife.
Too bad because the Thai restaurant next door is excellent and the people there are sweethearts.

Been here twice, but unfortunately my coworker and I had a bad experience this time. First time was just meh. Service took a long time to get our food even though it wasn’t that busy. We asked for water and garlic sauce four times (which was the whole reason why we came — it’s sooo good), but they kept forgetting and brought it to other tables.
We got the chicken kabob and chicken schwarma, but the meat was very fatty and portions were small.
We asked to split the bill down the middle so it wouldn’t be too difficult. They came back and had accidentally charged one card the full amount. Normally it wouldn’t have been a problem, but with everything combined, we were so over this place. Sorry, but this will be the last time we come here.

Their shrimp Kebob was the worst thing I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant. Not only was it flavorless, but it had the worst and weirdest texture for shrimp. Like as if they microwaved frozen shrimp right out of package!!! They had some belly dancing show going on which made me wonder if that’s how get away with their horrible food and slow service. Would never go back!
Reply to the owner’s comment: I did not say anywhere in the review that I was here on the 27^th. I just started leaving reviews for restaurants I’ve been in the past. I’m sure not everyone leaves reviews the same day of their visit to restaurants.
Please use my review to improve your service and food instead of assuming I’m one of your competitors that leave false reviews. I was here which I can prove to Unilocal legal if you really want to get them involved. The food was the worst I’ve ever had at a restaurant.

I only changed my first name to first name initial, and since I linked this account to my Facebook, it is showing my Facebook profile photo. Before then, I did not have any profile photo. You have been revising your reply to this review 4+ times and every time you do, I see that it includes multiple offensive comments including calling me holy ghost, and my review fraudulent, as well as threatening me that you will pursue my identity because I’m your competitor or have hidden agenda. After seeing all your replies, I even more strongly believe that Skewers is a 1 star restaurant at best because of the way the owner deals with low rating reviews despite a lot of them being constructive feedbacks.

I don’t usually eat much Lebanese food, so I don’t know if this place is considered «good» Lebanese food. Regardless, it tastes good to me. We were in the area, very hungry, and needed something fast to eat. They said the chicken shawarma would be the fastest thing they could make. I liked that it came with a side of fries and salad as well. The food was very good, even the salad dressing, I used that to dip my fries instead of using for the salad. The service was also really great, they accommodated to our needs when we told them we were in a hurry and were also very friendly.

A great place for dinner, live music, fun. Romantic, casual and family friendly too. The owners and staff are super responsive and courteous. I have always enjoyed every visit. I highly recommend Skewers as a place to add to your regular dining experiences. Parking secret… They have cones out reserving your space already, simply move the cone, pull in and voila… No wait parking just Skewers.

I had the baba ganoush as a starter along with the house salad served with my gyros plate. I asked for some feta on my house salad, which my server politely provided. I ordered a large baba ganoush ($ 11.00) which is certainly enough for two –three people. I enjoyed this dish very much as it had a good texture with just the right amount of citrus with a pleasant smokey taste.
For my main course, I had the gyros platter. The meat was definitely fresh sliced and put on a small pita. I asked for an additional pita as there was a enough meat to make another sandwich. Along with meat, there was a portion of fresh fried french fries and a small salad with the feta cheese as requested. The dressing on the salad was excellent and had good depth and was very flavorful. Not just oil, vinegar with a few specks of oregano. The French fries were definitely crispy and not soggy.
What distinguishes this place from other Mediterranean restaurants was the fresh ingredients. I consider this as upscale food in a casual environment. While the price is a bit more than other competitors, the quality of the food and preparation certainly warrants the higher price. The owner certainly does not mind the
voucher which gives you $ 10 off with a $ 20 order. Additionally, there is a voucher on Unilocal for a free appetizer up to $ 5 with a check in if you do not have a
voucher. That certainly brings the total cost within the price range for restaurants inside the loop. I highly recommend this place for those who appreciate good quality ingredients prepared for the customer. I just received the check, and was NOT charged for the extra pita bread nor the extra feta requested with my salad. A class operation here.

We love this place and enjoy the personalized service they give us every time we go. When we have a celebration this is always a fun place to go on the weekend because they have live entertainment — music and sometimes belly dancing too — very festive! My favorite dish is the chicken shawarma plate with rice and salad — always fresh, always yummy! Oh and don’t forget dessert — they have the most amazing chocolate cake!!!

Skewers has amazing food and the price is affordable for the upscale atmosphere and portion size. The parking in this lot is complicated but if you don’t find a spot the owner has cones reserving spots for customers so you just have to go in and tell them you would like to park; how considerate!
They also have live music some nights and belly dancers that arrive around 9pm to perform around the restaurant. When I went on a Saturday night, the restaurant was surprisingly empty and part of my hope with this review is to encourage more people to check it out. My friend and I had great service, great food, great dessert and a FANTASTIC time with the live music and really welcoming atmosphere. It was so nice to feel transported to a relaxing Middle Eastern feel for dinner in the middle of Houston for a night.

I eat here a couple of times a month and it’s a great, healthy option any time of day! I love the chicken shawarma with okra instead of rice. The management is always friendly and accommodating! Plus, you get s free app when you check in on Unilocal! (At least the first time)

There was live belly dancing and music! We had an awesome time!
For food, I had chicken shawarma was delicious as always. I’m a sucker for the vermicelli rice too!
Grilled calamari as an appetizer was also good.

My friend is going to kill me but this place is crazy expensive. 16 bucks for a gyro?

If you like belly dancers and singers coming up to u while your eating i guess you’ll like this place.
