First plummer couldn’t fix our problem, so a master plummer was sent out the next day at no extra cost!
Both men were very professional and he fixed my problem in minutes !!!

Bid a re-​route and install new pipe job for MBR bathroom remodel. Bathroom already gutted to studs with all pipes exposed and accessible. Selected them. Said they could do it in 10 days and will arrive around 8:30am on Feb 22. Waited for them that morning. They called me at 8:21am to confirm they were on their way — «be there in about 45 minutes.» After 1.5 hrs — had to call them to find out where they were. Said they were still on their way should be «20 — 25 min longer»…arrived 40 minutes later. Plumber stated he was unaware of stated time. Went up to MBR Bathroom looked surprised and said, «I knew this was a remodel from the way «they» (I presume dispatch or main office) described the job. Asked me if they bid a price. Of course they did — told him they came 10 days prior and bid $ 850 (had the written bid in hand). I was shocked he was not aware of the job and the pricing. Said it seemed to be too low and he’d need to make a call. But his attitude from driveway to MBR Bathroom was poor. He was an older fellow and not in shape. After talking with him, I told him that he clearly did not want to do the job. He pretty much indicated he did not. So I asked him to leave. I called the main office and told them about it — they said they were sorry and they’d get back to me shortly to see if they could set me up with someone else. That was it. Never heard back from them. Roto Rooter that’s the name and AWAIT YOUR TROUBLES, that’s their game.

First of all you need to have this guys well dressed. The man that came to the house to check my washer was horrible dressed and not comb, didn’t have no manners of saying his name and shaking my hands. They are not timely on the hour and I had to wait 3 – 4 before he show up at my door. He look like he was drag from a truck and thrown into the bushes. he came to look at my wall where the water was clog and wanted to charge me 300.00 to fix it… Didn’t go into detail what was causing the problem. and what he was going to do. All he did was shook his head and wanted to leave. They don’t charge you for the service but with that amount I’m sure he must of stuck the service in the amount he wanted to charge. Found someone to fix it for 120.00 so now I’m very please and happy that I looked around before I made that mistake…

Our service man arrived within the scheduled window of time; promptly went to work; and finished the work in about 1 ½ hours. Our technician was #6647. He is a professional competent worker. We will continue to use Roto-​Rooter in the future.

The technician gave us a price for our repairs. Then he charged a lot more than what he told us. After the ticket was signed, he even scratched out an amount and put in a different amount. I would never call Roto Rooter again. We complained to management, but they did nothing. It was all a big scam. To post this I had to select a star rating, but I would not even give them a one if they had it set up differently.

I was given a four hour window yesterday, after three hours waiting I received a call saying they would not be able to make it out today and would come the following day between the hours of 10 – 2. It is now 2:10 and still no plumber! 7 hours and counting waiting on Roto-​Rooter. I’m very frustrated and disappointed with this company.

After being highly frustrated with this place, I’m happy to say now all I will be having to do is get my carpets cleaned. I appreciate the customer service. The manager called my husband back and said they would fix the issue with the toilet at no charge. Most of the poop came out of the carpet and surfaces but obviously I still want them professionally cleaned to get all bacteria out of the carpet.

Update: Manager called me this morning to apologize and offer to give me back the $ 60 and send a different technician. I appreciate the quick response and their concern to their quality of service.
I will NOT recommend Roto Rooter!!! Not only they make me wait from 8am to 5:30pm and didn’t even offer an apology, the technician wanted nothing more then making me pay for making him to come to my house. He has no interest in confirming the root cause of my water heater issue. I already suspect it is the gas valve, but I am calling a professional in to test, confirm it, and tell me the next step.
My water heater stopped working and I scheduled for an appointment on tuesday. Confirmed that the technician will arrive next day on Wednesday between 8am to 12pm. On Wednesday at a bit past 11am, got a call from Roto Rooter that technician is running late and will arrive between 12pm to 2pm. At 1:30pm got a call and was told technician Roto Rooter still has me on their job list and does plan to come to my house. At 2:30pm, I got a call and was told my technician will arrive in 30 minutes. At 4pm, I called Roto Rooter and was told my technician is coming and is about 30 minutes away. Finally, at around 5:30pm the technician Jack knock on my door. That is just the first part.
When Jack arrives, he seems surprise that I want to show him where my water heater is. Then he seems reluctant to go to take a look at my water heater. After I told him I have a honeywell controller, he starts telling me how bad honeywell is. He then ask me how much will I pay if he tries to restart my water heater but he can’t guarantee it will work. He also quotes me $ 700 to replace the gas valve. He says all that without even being close to my water heater to diagnosis the problem first. I paid Jack $ 60 thinking he knows what he is doing but all he did is what the instruction on the water heater instructs to do. At least pull out something to measure the electric signal current going into the gas valve to confirm it isn’t the wire connection to the gas valve that is broken and not sending in enough voltage!

My service time was between 8am to 12pm but the Plumber did not show up until 2pm. Granted the company kept me updated about the plumbers arrival time however it is just inconvenient. I know that I was overcharged and if I would have called a different company or went to YouTube the price would have been more reasonable. I’m not sure if I would call them again. The Plumber assigned was fine… he did his job and left.

The great thing about these guys is that they will work evenings and weekends for no extra charge. I scheduled an appointment online and received a confirmation email immediately.
On the day of the appointment, I got several calls from a blocked number (which I never answer) and a voicemail from the blocked number that just sounded like background noise (no decipherable words). Towards the end of my 2 hour timeframe I got a call from an actual number. When I answered, it was the dispatch calling to tell me the plumber wouldn’t make it in the scheduled timeframe because I didn’t answer the phone or respond to their voicemails earlier. I told them I have been home the entire time and no one came to my house. Apparently they will not send the person to your home unless you pick up the phone. Why schedule an appointment time if they won’t show up anyway? What if I had phone issues and the phone wasn’t working that day?
When the guy finally did arrive (an hour after the 2 hour timeframe was up), he was very nice and did a great job unclogging the sink.

Warning OVERCHARGING. I have a drain clog and called them out to get an estimated, the technician told me that they start at $ 450 an hour and that they have lower they price from $ 600 AN HOUR. I showed him the way out the door and the back door. I call flat out plumbing the next day and they fixed it for $ 150

5 star service! I needed 2 bathroom fixtures replaced and a bathroom faucet. The plumber that visited my home went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect (I believe his name is Abel). There was a part on my current fixture that he was unfamiliar with and he located the replacement part I needed in the same day and installed it the following day. He cleaned up after he performed the work and all of it was done timely. The prices are reasonable. I would hire them again.

The plumber came over while I was not at the house for estimates only. He discovered a valve issue for the water heater and repaired it and charged $ 275 and that was okay. However, I felt that he took advantage of my daughter and mother in law by charging a whopping $ 165 for changing the water supply lines for each of two sinks. I am NOT an idiot because I know that supply lines only cost about 10 to 15 dollars each and there are only 2 nuts for each hose. So if you deduct the $ 60 for the parts, we were charged $ 270 for one half hour of labor (service charge already applied for the water heater repair) and I think that is taking OUTRAGEOUS. I’m glad that I was able to get the plumber out before he started changing the supply hoses for the two other sinks and to also change the innards of our toilet tank for another $ 275.
[BTW, I hired another plumber to come over and finish the job and he only charged $ 175 to change the supply lines for the remaining two sinks AND the the toilet repairs including parts (we were charged a modest $ 95 per hour instead of the outrageous per job charging). That is much better than the $ 600 that I would have been charged if I had let the ARS plumber finish.]
I know that there were a lot of better ratings but I can only rate based upon my personal experience. I would like to believe that such a «reputable» company could be trusted to charge reasonable prices to everyone. However, in this case, I believed that the women in my house were taking advantage of by their lack of knowledge.

I had my countertops replaced and hired Roto-​Rooter to install a new sink and faucet. The hours listed on the website show that this company works at night. This is NOT true. The last time window ends at 4pm!
The plumber who came was polite but left me a mess. He used clear silicone around the sink, which is great, but he left a two inch wide film of silicone ALL THE WAY around the sink. Sloppy. I understand a little silicone beyond the edge of the sink, like when you caulk a shower there is a little extra. But this was excessive. When you put your arm or a dish near the sink it got slimy. I had to use my library card to scrape off the silicone. Disgusting.
If you’re in a hurry, they seem to have plenty of technicians available. It wasn’t terrible, but I wouldn’t use them for anything involving caulking.

My hot water heater went out on Friday evening and I made an appointment for Saturday online. Sam actually showed up early to the appointment time after Roto-​Rooter called to make sure that was OK and I would be there. He quickly diagnosed the problem and let me know the water heater was in warranty, and I should check with the manufacturer to see what to do. The manufacturer confirmed it was in warranty, but their people couldn’t be there until at least Tuesday. Sam worked his contacts tried to get my parts on Saturday/​Sunday, but we did have to wait for Monday. First thing Monday morning, Sam was here with the parts and made the repair so I have hot water at least a day, and probably 2 days, earlier than waiting for the warranty work. I am submitting the invoice to the manufacturer for refund, so we’ll see how that goes.
In summary, a great job by Sam and Roto-​Rooter

Tried to charge me 375 for a clogged drain… I ended up fixing it my self and it took 5 mins! No sir

I have to say that Roto-Rooter’s complaint resolution is fantastic. I heard from someone in management very quickly after sharing my concerns and they were fast to resolve my issue.

The service met all expectations of timing, explanation, and product. The operator called within 30 minutes of arrival of the plumber. Upon arrival, the plumber introduces himself and taken care when entering the house. I would use the service again.

Clyde was very efficient, knowledgable and friendly. He has been in the business for 16 years so he knows all the tricks of the trade. Will use him again if we have plumbing issues and will recommend him to all.

I have a major issue with how this company does business. My bathroom tub is draining very slowly. I called Roto Rooter out as a recommendation from a family member who gave me a coupon for $ 20.00 off any plumbing service. I figured with the coupon and a free estimate what did I have to lose. I made the appointment online on Thanksgiving Day for 10 am the next morning. A very nice operator called me the next morning at 8 and advised me that they have someone in the area who could be there before my 10 AM.
The tech arrived and in about 30 seconds quoted me $ 329.00 to clear my clogged drain. I told them that was waaaayyyyyy more than I expected to pay. Quick as a flash he dropped the price to $ 150.00. When I asked him how he dropped the price by more than half, he began to stutter and talk about how he just quoted it differently. He also went on about how he doesn’t make up the prices, they are all in a book. He then begin to flip through a pricing book but never showed me where he got that outrageous price.
So if I wouldn’t have said anything I would have been paying close to $ 330 bucks for a clogged drain. To top it all off I asked if they would honor my coupon for $ 20.00 off. The tech said no. Since he dropped his bogus price down from $ 329.00 to $ 150.00 I couldn’t use my coupon. Pist off and frustrated I’m calling someone else out for second opinion.
This is my first experience with Roto Rooter but seem like they run crooked business. Be aware if you decide to use them.
