QT Styles Salon

I was due to get my hair straightened again with a Brazilian keratin treatment. I was looking for a groupon for it to save some money. That’s how I found QT Styles Salon. There were several other salons to choose from but based on reviews and price, I decided to go with this salon. The salon is actually within a place called Phoenix, so I had to call to find out where exactly it was located. Within Phoenix, there were many mini salons. I found QT and met my stylist Qiana. Her salon was cute with teal walls and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. She was very welcoming and made feel very comfortable. First she started with getting my hair squeaky clean. I can’t remember the exact order after that, but involved drying my hair, applying the treatment (she used Keratin Solutions), letting it process, and flat ironing my hair. I have pretty long hair so the whole thing took about 2 hours 45 minutes. It was definitely worth the time. She didn’t try to rush and she used the right amount of product. We had fun chatting and definitely shared a common interest in fashion. After leaving I waited 72 hours to wash my hair. I use a silk scarf to keep it away from my face and to hide the greasy texture. I had a feeling it was going to be a good treatment because it was especially greasy and stringy. In the past when I’ve had BKT done and it wasn’t like that, it didn’t work very well. My hair is now washed (use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner) and dried. The best part is I didn’t even need to use a flat iron! I highly recommend the BKT at this salon and it’s a great way to beat bad, frizzy hair days in the Houston humidity.
