Puddy Cuts

I tried to schedule an appointment Friday for Boston but sadly he was all booked up. I was placed on the waiting list and received a call the next day of an opening. I was so happy that I decided to try out Puddy Cuts. He was so kind and seemed so gentle with my dog. I would recommend him if you are looking for a groomer. Luckily for me, he isn’t far from my residence. I will definitely be back for future appointments.

I’m so thrilled that my sweet girl gets groomed by the best groomer!
He has such a calming presence and I’ve never felt safer leaving my dog with someone. Even better, he knows what he’s doing and does it very well! My dog has never looked better.
Now, I feel the need to address the negative comments, as they were not warranted. Steven works out of his home and has one table for grooming. His schedule is set, and his business is booming because of him! Hiring another person wouldn’t help because everyone goes to Puddy Cuts for Steven! He has regular clients that fill up a majority of his appointments which is why he’s booked all the time. We love taking our dogs to him and make damn sure to book several appointments at a time. The first time I called, his first opening was 2 months out, so I booked it. The woman who says he caters to new clients only is incorrect. He treats everyone equally and books appointments as they are requested.
Two other people gave him a bad review for him being busy. That just being ridiculous. He is busy because he’s that good. Clients of his know this and take the appointments we can get!

Getting our dog groomed has become the most stressful chore in our household. We’ve been through soooo many different groomers around town and have yet to settle on one who is consistent and affordable. Luckily we found Puddy Cuts, and it’s made our grooming trips so much easier!
Steve is a fantastic groomer! I’ve taken my little cock-​a-​poo to see Steve sporadically over the past year, and now that he is so highly in-​demand we have a standing 6-​week appointment. Steve’s prices are extremely reasonable compared to the competition, and all communication can be done over text which is extremely convenient. His cuts are very consistent, and far better than the groomer we have used at chain-​pet stores. Grooming usually takes around 2 hours for our smaller dog (24-​pounds).
Scheduling may be a little difficult now that Steve is so busy, but it’s definitely worth it to get a standing appointment!

At our most recent grooming appointment, we were the last client of the day, but I feel that we received the exact same attention and excellent service as the first customer of the day. We couldn’t ask for more! (I have also copy and pasted my original review from 2 years ago below)
From July 2013 — We have taken our Shih-​tzu to Puddy Cuts twice now — in July for boarding and yesterday for grooming — and we could not be happier!
After moving from the suburbs to the city, it was a challenge to find a place that gave the same level of great service that we were used to, but that did not charge inflated «big city» prices. Steven/​Puddy Cuts are the real deal. Great grooming and boarding services for «our little girl», and great customer service for us humans, and at prices that did not leave us feeling like we were the ones being taken to the cleaners.
Our Shih-​tzu, Tipper, looked cute as could be after her grooming appointment yesterday, and I also have to mention that when we boarded her with Puddy Cuts back in July, she came home looking better than when she went in!
So happy to have found you — a convenient and affordable choice in the city.
We will ABSOLUTELY be back for grooming and for boarding. Highly recommended!

I’ve got Scooter set on a monthly calendar appointment… if it’s on my MS outlook calendar, then it happens! The text reminder the day before is great! And the icing on the cake is that Scooter gets the best groomer in Houston!

Awesome place! Squeezed my foster puppy in for a bath and grooming despite a full schedule. Gotta love someone who seems to love your dog as much as you do. Highly recommended!

This isn’t your typical grooming salon, but I wasn’t looking for typical. I wanted an experienced, calm groomer that could handle my 13 yr old Maltese who is anxious at the groomer and vet and has become a bit fussy. I also wanted a place that would do her straight through so she didn’t have to be there all day. I found all this and a reasonable price at Puddy Cuts. Sure its a little unconventional to have a groomer workshop in your garage off your house, but it makes a lot of business and money sense and works just fine. Very glad after trying for 6 months to find a good groomed we found here.

Stephen was very nice and professional. I was able to get all three of my dogs scheduled and groomed within three days. He only accepts vaccinated dogs which was a huge plus. They are kept in cozy kennels during their spa day. When I picked my dogs up they looked happy and comfortable. He needed 6 hours to get all three dogs baths, hair cuts, and blow dries. They look great and smelled wonderful. He even gave them bandanas and bows. I will definitely be returning to him. I went ahead and scheduled my follow up visits. Terrific job!

We have been going to Stephen for 9 months now. We continue to be happy with his services and he really knows how to take care of their coats. Last month I moved to katy and am still traveling to see Stephen for all of our grooming needs. He has been very accommodating with this. We continue to be happy customers.

Forgot to add another review on Puddy Cuts’ boarding. I have left my girls there a few times now, once even a whole week while I was out of the country.
Absolutely love leaving them here. I’ve had at least one friend use Puddy Cuts and was very happy.
And the pricing is very good!

I have had dogs my whole life, have been to many groomers, and have never felt so worry-​free about leaving my Schnauzer, Jazzy, at Puddy Cuts. Steven’s soft, gentle tone has an amazing calming effect on the dogs left in his care. You can tell that he genuinely loves dogs, which means a great deal if you love your «babies» like I do. His grooming skills are fantastic, and I was thoroughly impressed with the way he boards his «guests,» because that’s how he treats them… like they are guests in his home! I live in Louisiana and was referred to him on a visit there. He has done such a great job that Jazzy has returned to Houston with me a few times, so she can be pampered again by Steven. I even brought my son’s Schnauzer, Oscar, to get the royal treatment, and my son was thoroughly impressed. I sure wish Puddy Cuts was closer to where I live. You Houstonians are very lucky! Great job, Steven!

Puddy cuts is wonderful! We just left our little girl «cookie» for the weekend and when we picked her up, she looked so happy. She felt like home. Steven, the owner, is such a nice and easy going man. One can clearly tell animals are his passion. I don’t usually write reviews, but here is why I did it. Just think about something, our pets «can’t» talk and are innocent, and some other boarding places take advantage of that and might not take good care of them, but when you find a place, where you know made your pet feel like home, it deserves the 5 stars and the time to type a review. Also, it is very affordable and Steven responds to the emails very fast. I am glad I found a great place for my dog to stay while I am away. If you are still looking around, don’t think twice to use Puddy cuts services. Thank you Steven!

Stellar service! My first trip to Puddy Cuts was yesterday and I am more than impressed. My long haired chihuahua has never had a groomer really style her hair or give her a good haircut. He was thorough and gentle and Tia shed her long locks and has a beautiful summer cut complete with a poofy neck hair to fram her face like I had requested. Bring your poochy to Steve to beautify and pamper them!

Steven is awesome!!! He has done a great job with my Old English Sheepdog. And his pricing is extremely reasonable! I am thrilled to have found him!!! Make an appointment. You won’t be disappointed!

Puddy Cuts is the most inviting dog grooming salon I have ever had the delight of visiting. It’s located in a cute house surrounded by a huge, green yard with beautiful trees. Bernie, my new-​to-​me 9 year old Maltichon, jumped out of the car and immediately started prancing through the yard with a big smile. (The Maltese smile is adorable if you haven’t seen it before.) I could tell Bernie was going to love this place.
How did I know *I* was going to like Puddy Cuts? As I walked up, I could see Steven grooming another pup. He looked completely relaxed and obviously takes pride in every cut. Steven also recognized Bernie has a little separation anxiety and immediately knew how to calm Bernie’s nerves. I’ve never felt so comfortable leaving my doggie for grooming.
Oh yeah, the cut. Phenomenal, just perfect. Exactly how I requested, and Steven’s suggestions made Bernie even cuter. Bernie’s nails were even perfectly cut and filed.
So glad I found Puddy Cuts and Steven!

Steve hasn’t even cut my dog’s hair yet and I can say he’s gonna be Sookie’s groomer from now on. You can just tell he loves what he does; and his morning radio just further confirms that he’s the right person to trust with my pet.

Wonderful place to take a pet. I have been very happy with the grooming of my dog and Steve’s ability to accommodate my schedule. I had to board my dog for the day today and it was so easy and affordable. Will definitely be coming back for future grooming and boarding needs.

Steve is the best groomer I’ve ever had! Does exactly what his customers want at a great price! He’s been my morkie poo’s for groomer for about a year now and we truly are happy with his services. He is so caring about the animals he cares for. I strongly recommend! :D

You can instantly tell that Steve is passionate about pets. I lucked out and was able to have my cockapoo seen the same day! My dog was not shaking and whimpering as she typically does at our previous groomer (petsmart), when we leave. When I picked her up, I barely recognized her, she looked so good! And, the prices here are much more affordable than our previous groomer. We have definitely found ourselves a new place for our grooming needs! I highly recommend this place!
