Went here for the first time on a Sunday evening(staying in hotel across the street). Complimentary chips and salsa(red salsa and a green salsa, which we found out was green tomatoes and jalapenos) were solid, as we were super hungry after a long day. Being a vegan, Mexican restaurants can go a few different ways. Decided to go the salad route — garden salad hold the cheese, and used salsa as a dressing. Got rice, corn tortilla, and asked for black beans on the side. Salad/tortillas were good, rice was super greasy, and waitress brought out refried beans. I politely reminded her that I asked for black beans, then she told me that they don’t have black beans… why didn’t she tell me this before I ordered and paid for something that I didn’t want… not sure. Overall, place is fine and cheap! Aside from iffy service, not too many complaints.

My Husband and I go every Friday or Saturday. Great customer service and THEBESTTEXMEX I HAVETRIED. The portions are a little bit smaller than other places but is still more than enough to fill you up.(the queso is not that good but botana is a must try!)

We read the reviews and decided to try it since it was close to where we were staying. We weren’t even seated before chips and two kinds of salsa were on the table. I had the best Marguerites I’ve had in a long time. Our waitress, Jasmine, was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and plentiful. We would make Poblanos our favorite weekly best place to eat, but we live in Arizona. If you’re just passing through, don’t pass up Poblanos!

This place is great. The food is excellent, they always have sports playing on tv, and the staff is laid back. If you want to eat, drink and relax, then this is your spot.

Wanted to have a drink. Saw that this place was in walking distance from my home. Ordered the largest margarita and enchiladas. Food was ok! Drink was horrible. Who can mess up a margarita. They used the cheapest nastiest alcohol for your drinks. I will never return for drinks!

I have been coming to Poblano’s for two years and have always gotten the fajita tacos or the burrito. The tortillas usually are light and fluffy with no oil. Last night I got 8 tacos total and after eating two I was sick as hell. The tacos were extremely greasy and they changed the tortillas to a horrible quality. I took the other 6 tacos back and the restaurant was not helpful and told me they changed their taco recipe. They only gave me a refund for the uneaten tacos despite me being sick as hell and almost puking in front of them. Their food quality has gone down hill significantly and I will not be returning ever again.

Stay away. I asked the waiter what was good there and he couldn’t give me a straight answer. I should have taken that as a hint. I ordered the fajitas since those are pretty simple. Meat was over cooked to the un chewable point. The rest of the dish either had way to much salt or completely zero taste.

First time here. We had chimichangas. They were great. Price was inexpensive and our waitress, jasmine was excellent. She never stopped moving and made sure we had everything we needed. Very good. We will go back.

Great food and service! I really enjoyed the green salsa and chips. Cantaloupe juice was too sweet for me, i’ll try pineapple next time. Tacos were really flavorful! Enjoyed every bit of my meal

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out for the first time. It was a Saturday night, around 8:15 pm. The place wasn’t packed, about moderately full. But we were at the entrance, standing and waiting for 3 minutes for someone to at least acknowledge our presence. I finally caught a server’s eye from across the restaurant, who POINTED to our table(he didn’t come over to us to seat us. He literally POINTED to the table). Another ten minutes had passed and still no one had come to bring us our menus, chips and salsa, or utensils. My boyfriend had to walk to the cash register area to get us our menus. At this point, I was ready to leave. The server probably saw my less-than-pleased expression and told us someone would be with us shortly. So we waited for another 5 minutes for that to happen. Then another 25 minutes to get our food. To sum up, all we did was WAIT at this restaurant. The food was average and not at all worth the wait. If you are fine with horrendous service and long wait times, this is the place to be! But I, for one, will not be back.

Define spanish food? Well its not white queso with just tomatoes in it. No jalepenos? The chicken enchiladas lacked chicken more cheese than meat. Lots of yellow cheese with a sweet sauce. I was not impressed at all.

This place was on our way to another Saturday excursion. The reviews don’t lie when we looked them up. This place is awesome! The food is fresh and hot, the ambiance was very inviting, the waitress was really nice and the price for both of us was around 25 bucks. Can’t beat it. We’ll definately be back as I want to try a desert next time. Highly recommended for fresh and tasty Mexican food. I recommend the chimichanga but my girl would say the nachos.

When I was younger, my family and I like to come to poblano’s Mexican Grill because of the tasty queso blanco. Now I am a little bit older so I came here to get a nice margarita and hopefully an adequate meal. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed. We decided to order the small margaritas because it was happy hour. The margaritas tasted more like orange juice and there was very little tequila flavor. Nonetheless it was on margaritas so I guess I can’t complain too much. Now the wait Service was pretty spotty. Very nice and kind when they were with you but they were so few of them and it seem like they weren’t really sure which section they belonged to. No I know they were very hard-working because our waiter was behind the bar, getting food, taking to go orders, and serving customers when we arrived. I decided to order a bowl of the Menudo which comprised of tripe and hominy, as well as a Barbacoa taco on a flour tortilla, and an appetizer of the queso Blanco with steak fajita meat. We did not get our queso until about 7 minutes after we actually got our other food. And that was only because reminded the waiter that we ordered the queso. He came back with plain queso, so we reminded him that it had meat on top. I think the busyness got to him because he might have misplaced or misunderstood what we said when we ordered. Even though our order got kind of messed up, and the Menudo lacked hominy, and the queso was a little lukewarm, our waiter was pretty charming. He kept talking about some delicious food you can order at restaurants in Mexico, but they’re not offered at this Mexican restaurant so I left a little disappointed. He did provide a discount for the queso because of the mixup, which was much appreciated. The meal was a pretty great deal at only about $ 22 for three tacos, a bowl of Menudo, 2 margaritas, and the queso but I don’t know if I would return again.

Service is always good, food is always fresh!!! This time around I ordered the Poblano Taco special, there was sort of carrot & potato medley in my taco, it wasn’t bad … just unexpected :| I’ll probably stick with the fish tacos or quesadillas which never disappoint!!!

There were carrots, potatoes, and season-less meat in my enchiladas. It was utterly disgusting, so bad that my dog refused to eat the limp corn tortillas or season-less meat. However, all was not horrible, my friends quesadilla was good. Just don’t get the enchiladas, not authentic Mexican or Tex-Mex food.

Amazing service! Our waitress is going above and beyond normal service. I had the Caldo De Reyes and a house frozen margarita. The depth of flavor on the soup was out of this world and the house margarita does not taste like«house», more like top shelf.

Food was good but service was horrible. I was the only person in the place & I wanted a to go order. The guy took my order but kept just staring at me strange. I asked to change my drink to something else because my lemonade was bitter & he said yes but came over to the drink machine & stood awkwardly close to me & watched as I poured my new drink from the dispenser. After all that«watching me like a hawk», they neglected to give me utensils to eat with. This place is weird. Never going back. Too bad to because the food was pretty good.

I was pleasantly surprised from this place. Great margarita and queso. I would definitely come back if I had time to kill in that area.

Awesome red chilaquiles with an addition of beef fajitas! OMG! They make their chili con queso fresh daily using white cheese. No can cheese here! Red and poblano sauces have great flavors too. pancakes not so much. Too much buttermilk. My son wouldn’t eat them. Other than that, we will definitely be back!

A-ok. Went here for lunch, their mixed fajitas were just ok, beef was quite chewy and all over it was a but bland. Could have done with some cheese maybe? And how our peppers and onions were still raw on the skillet I’ll never know! Chicken quesadillas are delicious, hot and packed full of filling. Their tortilla chips are tasty too. But in a city full of tex-mex and Mexican options, this one doesn’t sweep me offa my feet! Service was mixed, our glasses laid empty for half the meal and we couldn’t flag anyone down to refill! Decent spot for lunch though.
