Pasha Snoring & Sinus Center

Dr. Pasha and his staff are awesome! I have been a patient of Dr. Pasha’s since about 2007 and he has repaired my deviated septum, completed allergy injections and just yesterday had my turbinates reduced and had the balloon sinuplasty done in his office. Dr. Pasha has also treated my mother, father, sisters, grandmother and many other family friends and co-​workers. Everyone I have sent to see him has come back with positive reviews and we all continue to look to him and his expertise when it comes to our sinus issues. Don’t hesitate to go see him for any of your concerns because he is the best!

I went to doctor Pasha because I was aware of a sleeping issue, waking up because I couldn’t breathe ect. I was quickly diagnosed by his associate Sunny and subsequently by Dr. Pasha himself. The whole staff is extremely nice. They expedited the surgery process for me to allow me to hit some time constraints I was trying to work out. After surgery, I did have one minor bleeding issue (no account of theirs), which they addressed with amazing dedication. I think I had them in the office because I had to come in late at night, almost until 11:30pm and they just made me their top priority. I can’t recommend them enough.

Great first-​time experience with this practice, from the scheduling and front desk staff to the nurses and Dr. Pasha. The staff were professional and personable, and the doctor was a great listener, explained why he was making the recommendations he did (so helpful and rare with provider interactions), and was very thorough and did not make me feel rushed. Happy to have found this practice!

After seeing his grandiose office sign just off of 59, I went in for a consult. Long story short, within 10 minutes of talking to him, he wanted my tonsils out, and some major reconstructive surgery on my mouth etc to ‘open up the pipe-​ways’. I then agreed to go one step at a time, with step 1 happening to be the cauterization of my turbinates… this was not covered and out of pocket for me at near $ 400. I had caked blood falling out of my nose still nearly a year later… at 2 years now, I see zero improvement. The only thing achieved were that my natural turbinates were burned off… I feel like i get sicker faster now.

My boyfriend suffers from major allergies! His eyes would get really watery and blood shot red. Nose would start running and then the sneezing kicks in really bad. I told him he needs to go see a doctor but he refuses. I finally convinced him to go see Dr. Pasha and it was the best decision ever. He did the allergy test and is now on the regular allergy shots that he does at home. We don’t have get stuck in traffic just to come to the office to get his shots. All the office staff is very nice and helpful.

I suffered from allergies and chronic sinus infections all my life and have seen numerous doctors and no one has been able to give me any relief. My girlfriend saw Dr. Pasha on great day Houston and made an appointment for me and I’m so glad she did. After a simple in office minimally invasive procedure that took 30 minutes, I can finally breathe. I am no longer suffering from sinus pressure, pain, or headaches. I am also on allergy shots and doing them from home. Thank you Dr. Pasha and staff for taking great care of me!!!

I went to see Dr. Pasha after seeing his clinic while driving on 59. I had a problem with snoring and wanted to finally have it corrected. The first thing he told me was that I needed my tonsils removed, which I totally agreed with. He also suggested other surgeries that I again thought made sense. Right after, he did a couple tests and then I was told that I needed an imaging study done before he could schedule surgery. Surprisingly, my insurance was charged over ten thousand dollars for one scan and the initial visit.
When I went in for my followup visit, I asked the surgical coordinator how much people are generally charged for what I had done and I was told it was usually 4 – 5 thousand dollars. I then told her that I was charged ten thousand and she then said «That sounds about right.» Those two numbers are nothing alike to most people.
I then was informed about where I’d be having my surgery and was told that Dr. Pasha part owns the surgical center that he generally works in and that it is also out of network for just about any insurance you can name. After they overcharged me for the visit and scan, there was no way I was going to let them try to overcharge me on out-​of-​network fees. I asked for an estimate of how much it would cost, but was told that she didn’t know. She then said that I shouldn’t worry because I would «only be charged what I could afford.»
Dr. Pasha seems like a nice guy, but avoid his clinic like the plague unless you like to pay trumped up charges for basic care.

As I’m currently recovering from surgery from a different otolaryngology practice, I’m able to respond to the comments of Dr. Pasha’s office.
I used a pseudonym instead of my real name. I don’t see how that should matter as you don’t need my actual name or records to dispute the claims I’ve made in my review. As I don’t plan on ever having contact with your office again, I see no need to reveal my identity.
If you read my review thoroughly, you would understand that I don’t have any misunderstandings that require clarification when it comes to billing and insurance. Dr. Pasha is very likely in-​network with most plans by design. I’d guess this is so that patients can see him, enjoy being his patient, and then feel somehow obligated to have surgery at a surgical center that he part owns. Oprex ASC isn’t in-​network for insurance as I have already shown. This is most likely so that you can be balance billed the remainder of whatever your insurance doesn’t cover as a usual and customary allowable charge (which could be thousands). If the surgical center were in-​network, the negotiated rates would likely be much, much lower.
I didn’t claim that he owned an imaging center. I claimed that he part owned the surgical center that is attached to the imaging center and sleep center. I believe all of these centers are named differently as to confuse the patient. Clarus Imaging (in-​network) is in the same building as Oprex ASC (out-​of-​network) and the building has a large ALTUS/​ZT Wealth sign on it. I had to sign paperwork in Dr. Pasha’s office attesting to the fact that I was made aware that he had a financial interest in the surgical center.
I understand that surgery fees are charged by the center, but I find it fishy that I couldn’t be given an answer as to how much I could expect to be charged other than a general «only what you can afford.» That’s far too vague and not in the least bit helpful.
It’s laughable that you claim to pride yourself on transparency when you’re anything but. I asked for a copy of an itemized bill when talking to the surgical coordinator and was told that I could receive one later. Instead of putting up with all of that, it was easier to just get treatment elsewhere. I’ve paid my bills, so I have no reason to contact you further. I just hope my review may educate other patients of the practices of this office.

I’ve went to Doctor Pasha several times for Eustachian tube dysfunction. Sadly, every time I would come in all he would tell me is to wait, and wait and that he wants to see me «in a week». After a month of seeing him, I asked him to do some treatment since I was paying him $ 45 for each visit and so he performed a Myringotomy procedure. After the surgery, he didn’t ask how I felt or anything, all he said was he will see me in 3 weeks. My situation got even worse over the 3 week period and I decided to cancel my next appointment. After a couple days, his secretary calls and says I have to pay a certain fee for the surgery in which my insurance already paid for. The only reason he became a doctor, I believe, is for the money and not to cure patients. My insurance company and I spent over 2,500 and in the end I’m still left with this problem. The reason I took my time out today is to discuss with you all my experience and cause I don’t want anyone else to have to go thru with this doctor and resulting in losing money. I highly don’t recommend going to Doctor Pasha. He is a waste of time and money.

I’ve been looking for a Doctor who can help me with my sinus problems (which I have since I was a kid) and a friend recommended me Dr. Pasha. Before visiting him, I decided to go to his website to find out more about him, and it was a nice surprise to find a lot of helpful information about all the treatments he provides, including videos, that gave me a pretty good idea of my options. I finally decided to visit him, we talked about those possible treatments and I asked them some questions regarding what I read online. He gave me a lot of details, specially about the recovery process (I’m kinda worried about that). I still haven’t decided if I’m going to get a surgical or an in office procedure, but I’m definitely going to his Center to get rid of my freaking sinusitis!

Dr. Pasha is an all around great guy. I know plenty of people who have seen him and had nothing but good things to say about his treatment options and professionalism. His office is extremely welcoming and comforting, not to mention in a very easily accessible location.
I really recommend making an appointment if you have any issues with allergies, sleep apnea, or snoring.

Dr. Pasha treated my wife’s allergies and provided extremely professional care. Her allergies cleared up and we’ve recommended Dr. Pasha to several other friends who have become happy patients as well.

Terrible experience for seeing a specialist. Every experience for seeing Dr Pasha is wait, wait, and wait, they just keep asking you wait. And Dr never explain anything to you unless you ask! The Dr doesn’t really care about what you are feeling or what is your problem is, all he care about is how much money you could pay to him. I went to the office for a serious allergy of my nose, the Dr just tell me to do an allergic test and there is no good way to cure it, the only way is a long term de-​allergy treatment which may last for ten years or more. I cannot go anyway in this period and have to see him every two or four weeks. I told him that I am planning to have a baby soon, then he said during the treatment, I cannot have a baby or something like this. So he pushed me to a turbinate reduction surgeon which he thinks may release the nose-​blocking during the pregnancy. So I decided to take the surgeon. On the day I took the surgeon, The nurse put some cotton filled with drug into my nose and left me alone in the room for more than half hour. I remember her asked me to wait for 20 min but she never come back any more. So I walked to the corridor and ask for help. But they just asked me to wait in the office until Dr come. I wait for another 15 mins, the Dr came and finished the surgeon in ten seconds. It was a horrible experience, after the surgeon, the Dr was trying to persuade me to take the de-​allergic treatment again. After seeing him for ten times in three months, I feel even worse after I took the surgeon now. My nose-​running and blockage are more serious than before.

Brittani is correct that they try to rush you into major procedures. I was pushed to get a Deviated Septum surgery after coming in just for an ear cleaning! Not sure if the pushiness is for money making reasons or if they are crazy busy.
On the other hand I visited the doctor a year earlier and he was very frank and helpful in diagnosing my partial deafness.
Protip: Don’t be afraid to speak up and ask questions or a sore throat or ear ache could become major surgery.

It all makes sense now… After reading from other Unilocalers that he sends you to get surgery at place he owns/​has monetary-​investment in, I can understand why he rushes people to get surgery after a quick look down your throat and ears.

I went to the clinic in Walgreens for sore throats twice in 4 months, so the 3^rd time I had a sore throat I decided to see a SPECIALIST. The Dr. looked at my throat for 10 seconds and said I needed to have my tonsils removed. I asked if there was anything they could do for the pain I was in then, but he said no all I can tell you is remove your tonsils… wait in pain until I can ask for a week off work?! I went to a WALGREENS clinic immediately after for a second opinion and after a throat culture — turns out I had strep throat. Before the culture results came back, I called in twice after my visit as the pain worsened. They told me I would have to come in again in order for them to prescribe anything. I couldn’t leave work AGAIN, so finally they called in a generic Z Pack. Thanks I really do appreciate it, but it was too little too late. They should have been more thorough the 1^st time around.
Also, a month later there is still no insurance claim. The Walgreens clinic claim from the same day has already been approved and reimbursed. When I called to get a receipt for at least my copay, I was told it would be faxed to me. No fax. Called again. No fax. Called again. I can’t find your visit or payment let me transfer you to billing. Transferred back to main line and ignored. I will not return and certainly will not schedule my tonsilectomy with a Dr who jumps to such a drastic conclusion and has such an unhelpful staff.
