Old Blue House Antiques

A small house chock full of eclectic and sometimes interesting merchandise. A little pricey, but that’s not the problem. The problem is they flat out won’t negotiate — that’s fun for experienced antiquers and is standard in the business. Parking is also very limited. There are other more welcoming shops in the same couple of blocks. I’m not saying «Don’t stop in.» Just saying I wouldn’t make the trip to the area just for this store.

The owner, Linda, is an absolute Doll and a Character.

Not a bad little place. Various items. Mostly smalls. Some stuff is really random. Located in the middle of antique shops so easy to walk from one to another.

Great selection of antique kitchen ware. I will have to stop by in from time to time for I would love a set of all red glass food storage. Just have to save up first. They also have a nice selection of records and old Oilers memorabilia that my dad would love. The employee was very nice too. Overall, a good spot to if nothing else browse for a bit and step back into time.

I love going into this shop and looking around. They have a nice variety of things and you never know what you are going to find! My honey found a lens that is compatible with one of his cameras and he seemed very pleased in his find, especially since they knocked a couple of bucks off when he asked.
The staff here were very pleasant to work with and they were very knowledgeable too. I look forward to visiting again.

When we went in they were in the middle of renovating some of the rooms so we could only see like 3 rooms of things. It wasn’t the most eclectic or shocking collection of things, but they did have some fun stuff.
I liked that the owners were friendly, in the front room just hanging out like it was home. Asked us if we needed help a couple of times and didn’t linger around us like some owners do in these shops.
I think my mom would dig this place because it’s quaint and fun.

A cute assortment of antiques collected (not surprisingly) inside an old blue house, which meanders around from room to room. The owners were really friendly when I walked in and were ready to answer any questions I had about any of the pieces. There’s a nice array of things here – china, furniture, framed art, linens, lamps, et cetera, and it wasn’t packed in so tight that I couldn’t move around freely to look at everything. There’s nothing terribly modern in here; the really edgy midcentury antiques are across the street over at Cool Stuff, but there are some great Edwardian and Victorian style chairs and tables that I encountered in my cursory overview of the shop, as well as some pieces all the way up to the 1950’s. Prices are pretty midrange; I thought they were fair for each piece, but if you’re bargain hunting you’re probably not going to nab a really super deal here. All in all it was a very pleasant shopping experience and I’ll probably be back in to pick up a great Art Deco style lamp that I was eyeing hungrily.
