The technician who did my nails was very unprofessional and started yelling at me when I asked her to apply the polish closer to the cuticle. Her work looked amateurish and like something I could have done a better job with. They are on the pricey side so spend your money at a better salon where you can get a more professional look.

Wow the experience I had here was way better than I expected! From the outside it looked old and like any other mediocre salon, but their service ended up being superb! I was pampered every second of the way! The salon was empty except for one customer when I came in so I was greeted right away. I asked for shellac on my hands and a pedicure. Both were started simultaneously while I was in the pedi chair… I was in heaven! They used 2 or 3 different scrubs for my pedi along with a hot towel wrap and hot stones! I did not expect the latter at all! The techs were very friendly and took their time with the quality of my service. I even got a shoulder/upper back massage with more hot stones after my pedicure was over! The tech that did my pedicure(Tina) was also kind enough to put my tennis shoes and socks in a bag for me at the end since my toes weren’t dry yet(I came straight from work). Very thoughtful. Most other salons would have just let me carry it out on my own. Apparently shellac mani+pedicure was actually a combo that they have for $ 50. It was kind of expensive… But worth every penny in my opinion, especially with that hot stone shoulder massage. I definitely found the perfect place for me to be treated like a queen. If only it were a little bit cheaper!

Sandy does the best acrylic nails in Houston. They are thin and beautiful and she does not cut or damage my fingers.

I absolutely love this place! The mani and pedi’s are fabulous. They use hot rocks when they massage your feet, legs, arms, back, neck and they take their time. If you have a good hour to get pampered this is your place! Sandy is wonderful. I’ve been going to them for years.

Great neighborhood salon. I’m glad I decided to try them! I was there on a Saturday and didn’t have to wait. It’s been exactly a week since I have done my mani and it’s still almost intact(I am a hardcore cook… Constantly in contact with water, detergent) REGULARMANI/PEDI: $ 31 * you have to let them know from the beginning if you want the regular service, as they imply you will get the spa. I didn’t know that and I almost got yelled at. SPAMANI/PEDI: $ 36 * includes hot stone massage, hot towel wraps, oils etc… It is worth it. The service is much better. Definitely recommend.

I went here on a Saturday morning solely because it was walking distance from my apartment. I didn’t know I was going to fall in love with this place! I wasn’t much of a fan of those high end nail salons with standard spa pedicures, deluxe spa pedicures, and premium spa pedicures. This place was just what I needed. Thankfully there were only 3 other ladies there so it wasn’t at all crowded. They had a large selection of brand name polishes and they even had the big spa massage chairs. The lady who did my pedicure took her time and paid very close attention to detail when it came to cleaning up my nail beds and applying the polish. The lady who did my manicure spent the same time and detail into my finger nails. They also include a back and neck rub along with a hot stone massage. It started to rain mid-treatment and with my fear of having to walk home in the heavy rain, the lady who did my pedicure kindly offered to drive me down the street to my apartment. It sounds weird and creepy, but I didn’t look at it that way at all. So with my entire experience already at its high, I finished by paying $ 36 at the end. I’ve gone less often to get my nails done after moving here from CA, but if I’m ever in the desire to, I’d definitely come back to The Nail Studio!

Wow! After going to the same salon for over twenty years my friend asked me to go here. The hot rocks and massage(feet, legs, hands, arms, neck and back) were just awesome. I have found my new salon. As far as luxury goes, I found the spa chairs to be all that was needed.

First you should know I only had my eyebrows done here. I’d like to share a story, so you can understand why this is significant enough for me to write a review of this establishment. Fast forward to the real review by skipping to the second paragraph. I figured out much later in life than most that I needed to do something with my VERY thick eyebrows. The first time I went to get them waxed, my aunt and my waxer whispered to one another and looked at me with pity. That day, I hated my thick eyebrows. Since then I’ve grown to love them, but often when I try out a new place, people insist of making my eyebrows super thin, despite my pleas(«Please, not too thin» or «Just clean them up, please.») and it makes me look like a freak. I came here at 4:30 on a Friday. I called 20 minutes before to make sure they had time, since the first time I came(mid week) there was only one person working and she was unable to squeeze me in. I was preoccupied with my weekend plans and forgot to give my instructions. I realized this after the first strip of hair was ripped from my face. I started to panic. She really took her time, which made me even more nervous, but when she brought me the mirror at the end to inspect, I was pleasantly surprised, and overjoyed since I can walk here from my apartment. You won’t see these eyebrows looking unsightly! This shop is no frills, so if you’re looking for a spa-like experience, this should probably not be your first choice. The eyebrow wax was $ 8; shellac manicure is $ 30 according to the sign on the wall. They do offer a hot stone pedicure of sorts. It seems their prices are average. Since I prefer a more luxurious experience when I get my nails done this won’t be my go to for that, but they do seem to be very efficient.

Toe nail FUNGUS! Sterile pouches… they reuse them. Some pouches haven’t even had the adhesive removed nor sterilized. I used to love it here until I noticed tje sterile pouch misuse and got the toe funk. Not HAPPY!
