I was seeking out some nostalgic comfort food and this came to mind… esp. malt vinegar. If I could give negative stars I would. Disgustingly filthy. I should have walked out at that point. The rudest most entitled idiots I’ve ever seen working at a place that serves people. I don’t even think if it were servicing dogs they would go there. They were out of three things I ordered. I waited 15 minutes for my food(after 8 additional minutes waiting for the person at the counter to finish her phone conversation about absolutely nothing) AND the food was sitting under the heat lamp for another 10 while the heinous woman behind the counter could text. I bet these are the ones picketing for higher minimum wages. Why? It’s not like you actually work! You sit on your ass talking on the phone to one of your baby daddies as a priority while there are people waiting. People don’t DESERVE a job. People are not entitled to a job and money. People EARN their wages and the right to work. If I behaved like this I would have been fired after a few days. If you’ve ever seen the movie Idiocracy, please do! That movie epitomizes this place to a ‘T’. On to the food… when I got it, it was the wrong order. I think someone in the drive-thru got mine and I got theirs. When I told them they acted like I had no right whatsoever to say anything. I asked for my money back, as I didn’t have another 25 minutes to wait. They REFUSED and told me to call the customer service number. I’m utterly amazed that this place is in business. Marvin would be rolling in his grave. I have NEVER seen a more disgusting place. A gas station bathroom is cleaner. And a gas station likely has better food. I went away hungry and got me a Whataburger instead.

When I walked in and it smelled like old grease I almost walked out. I should have. The fish/chicken/hush puppies were terrible, they left a waxy greasy old oil taste in my mouth. The whole restaurant was in awful condition: some of the seats were torn, everything was dirty and my shoes stuck to the floor. And worst of all, don’t go into the bathroom unless you want to get sick from the smell. I thought this restaurant was going to get better but it was the worse experience I have had at a fast food restaurant in years. Oh yes, they forgot to give me the clams I ordered and paid for, but they would have been cooked in the same old grease too. I will never be going back. I usually like Long John’s food and will be finding a new location even if it’s further from my house.

Horrible horrible experience. Whole place was like a trash can, dirty and unsanitary. Had to wait a long time even though there was nobody there and I was the only one in the whole restaurant. Drinks were bad, there wasn’t any CO2 at all so the soda were all flat in taste. Would not come here again.

This has to be the worst place in Houston to go. I have been there 3 times and each time they either didn’t have any food or they were cleaning out the oil. The last time I went the person told me that they were out of pie, cokes, cole slaw, and almost out of green beans and they were suppose to get a truck tomorrow. Mind you this was at 6:30 in the evening. Don’t waste your time going.

As good as Long John Silver’s gets! Everything, clams, fish & chicken, were fried to perfection. The restaurant appeared clean, the condiment bar lacked napkins, although they were provided with the meal. The staff was friendly and even brought our order to the table. Completely satisfied the craving and left a oily sheen to my lips.

Dirty, dirty, dirty! There’s nothing more to say. Will never eat there again. Other locations have been excellent. This one needs a complete overhaul. Condiment bar was filthy and no napkins or utensils. Floor and table needed cleaning and disinfecting. Health department needs to close this place down.

Look here LJS… stop the MSG or oversalting of your products… the grease is bad enough. I never liked hushpuppies. Your crabcakes are alright, if you’re very hungry and too lazy to buy real ones. LGS reminds me of stovetopstuffing or ricearoni… you know it’s bad for you but you still eat it once in awhile. I think they should make the cashiers dress like pirates. I miss Alfie’s. I’m not sure where I’ve eaten LGS it was at multipe locations over the years.

Was suddenly craving the nostalgia of Long John Silvers and with a quick drive, we arrived at the drive thru. The drive thru took 15 minutes, which is slow in the world of fast food, but they were frying the food fresh, which I will gladly wait for. Our combo meals ended up being only $ 5 each despite the menu price($ 6.49 and $ 6.79) so that was a pleasant surprise. Food was really crispy and hot. Fries were old, meh. Regardless, I like me some fried fish with a douse of malt vinager and tarter sauce, yum! We got an extra crab cake which was surprisingly good too.
