Lodge At Spring Shadows

I’ve lived here almost a year and I really like it. It’s super dog friendly (seriously almost everyone has a dog), and the office staff and maintenance are always really friendly and responsive. I feel very safe in the complex, even after dark. The pool is awesome, as is the fitness center. All the other residents I’ve met have been really friendly as well. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely love lodge at spring shadows the neighborhood is so welcoming everyone is friendly and if there is ever an issue it’s taken care of right away. I cannot wait until the gym is renovated! 9 months of greatness. I think it’s renewal time !

I love living at The Lodge! Maintenance js a breeze and is often done the same day! Courtney in the office is simply the BEST! She is always on top of things and helpful to assist in any way. The community is very quiet and peaceful, the pool and hot tub area are wonderful, and parking is plentiful! (Just wish they were assigned) But overall I love it here and highly recommend it to anyone looking to move!

As far as safety I always felt safe my neighbors were awesome, heck even the maintenance made me feel safe, they were always around on the grounds. Now we all know nothing is perfect, I had a friend visiting, got up to leave about 5 to find their car had been broken into. Thank God I had rental insurance, its required, it covered everything so that was a huge relief bc i felt so bad, trust me no one in the complex did it. I did have a problem with Courtney (I believe that’s the taller heavier woman), one of the leasing agents, who came banging on my door about the 11^th of the month saying I didn’t pay my rent, I was like what are you talking about, it really put a sour taste in my mouth with her. Just her whole demeanor, banging hard open the door you didn’t pay your rent” she was screaming this outside the door, haha its funny now, not then I was getting ready to go to work, pissed. For the record, I had paid my rent on time like I did every month. I was more upset that they do more investigating on when you don’t pick up after your pet than they do handling the rent. So keep your receipts because I closed the door and got them she took a picture and told me she would let me know about the investigation. After i didn’t hear from her I called to see what was going on, she said oh i sent a email, lies… but I digress. I love the doggie stations with the bags so convenient, almost everyone had dogs so that was good. There are some who just aren’t into pets and that’s fine, just make sure yours is on a leash and you pick up their poop or you will hear about it from management, which is fair. Now there were times when the doggie station was full and overflowing but I, this is just my opinion, didn’t find a problem with it because they would empty it either the next day or so but it wasn’t like days (unless the weekend wait til Monday). The last thing, they didn’t give me all of my deposit back, and because I was sick just getting out of the hospital I didn’t have the strength to argue or go through the motions. I didn’t get my pet deposit back they charged me for some stuff that had started leaking from the little pipe hanging in the shower, the day i was moving out. It was red I tried wiping it but it was sticking they charged it as being rust! That’s not my problem that the pipe that has been there since I moved in started leaking rust the day of my move out, idk I dont like cheaters/​robbers. They charged me for «the stove top not cleaned» ALL LIES” I have it on video. And they charged me for normal wear and tear. Just wanted to help someone who was considering this place to live. It is very nice I lived there almost 2 years and I loved my neighbors. I tried to list everything, overall I would recommend it just make sure you keep your receipts and video your clean non damaged home before moving out because they will get you. ~Stephanie Martin
Had to give it a higher rating because it deserves it! These are really great apartments and not everyone in the office is bad/​rude. If I had to do it again, I’d move back in a heartbeat.

Living at the Lodge at Spring Shadows has been wonderful! It is truly a community in every sense of the word. The property itself is well maintained, the leasing team is very helpful and the residents are so friendly

Loved living here for about a year, very quiet complex, my neighbors were great and friendly and the staff in the leasing office were always helpful. And they have awesome community events too– like ones you actually want to attend.

Great place, great neighbors, and super dog-​friendly! As a single female, I wanted a place I could feel safe. After searching half the apartments in town, this was an easy choice. By far the best quality for the cost. Easy access to what you need and to different parts of town. The community is very well kept and comfortable — big trees and paths, great pool and a dog park. I’ve been super pleased with my choice!

Please save yourself the disappointment. Unilocal makes you choose at least 1 star, I would rate it negative if the app allowed.
Here are a few issues:
1. Outside smells like dog poop every single day. They do not empty the «doggie stations» until they are over flowing with flies.
2. The dog park is a disease pool. Never cleaned and full of half eaten toys. I originally chose this complex due to it being so «dog friendly». I have used the dog park a handful of times and my dog has gotten sick after each visit. Also you pay «pet rent», not sure what that does to since the two dog amenities (park and dog stations) are not tended to.
3. Amenities are horrible /​non-​existent: The pool is like a hot bath with disgusting slime around the side.
4. The «gym» is a joke. Consists of a few pieces of equipment.
5. You have to pay to use the «club house» which is basically just the office.
6. Be prepared to continuously call the office about packages. They only send out announcements if they are left in the office for a week.
7. Next year when you renew expect your rent to be increased by over 20% — you won’t receive any updates for your apartment. But will pay more!
8. Expect to pay an arm/​leg in electricity and still be hot all summer. Their air conditioning units are either very old or the insulation is non-​existent. I am on the second floor and should be pretty boxed in.
9. Do you love waking up at 2am because of random fire alarms?! Yeah, me either. But it’s happened multiple times in the last year. Of course you can’t get ahold of any management to see what is going on. The «after hours emergency» line just takes your message… Every time I call they say they are unable to get a hold of a manager.
10. Want to go into labor and realize that within the last 5 minutes your car has been towed? Yep cause that happened. My mothers car was towed within the time of her walking up to my apartment and back. Thanks to your «courtesy officer»… Guess he costs that +20% on your rent. Oh and he isn’t around at night just during broad daylight.
11. Gates are constantly broken. But again, not «courtesy officer» at night.
12. Incompetent staff. They seem to be clueless or at least play the role well.
Moving out in a month and have never been more excited to leave. I am sure I will be ripped off on my deposit — don’t worry I will check back.
EDIT POST RESPONSE FROM MANAGEMENT:
I have continuously put many of these issues on the surveys sent out. So to hear that you never heard about these complaints is either a lie or you don’t review negative feedback in your surveys. Either way the information HAS been presented to you. I will say the icing on the cake has been the most recent incident of having my mothers car towed while in labor and your staff writing down an address on a sticky note and only responding with «there is nothing I can do» or «I don’t speak English» and walking out from your maintenance staff.
I also enjoyed the maintenance staff showing up today without notice (even though every request I have sent asks to call ahead and gives the phone number) and left only leaving a note «not key patio». So what maintenance was completed? Yeah I don’t know either.

9÷22− was seriously charged $ 189 for two months of water/​sewage when we weren’t even living in the apartment for a month. Seems pretty inaccurate and completely fraudulent in my mind. I just keep telling myself $ 189 to completely rid my life of this place.

It would seem a haven for dogs, or at least that’s how they portrayed it. In reality, it’s dominated by dog haters who take pictures of you trying to catch you in a compromising situation. The worst is Courtney, one of the leasing agents. She will walk into your property, with out knocking, and talk to you like a child, telling you you’re wrong and there is no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Never will listen to your side. Not what I expected. This place has been a complete disappointment…
