I went in to trade my vehicle and everything was going great until we start doing paperwork and find out the salesman never called for the payoff after we gave him the information. So needless to say the car was upside down and could not be used. So needless to say we had to foot 6000.00 more added to the truck boy was I mad. So we continue with the deal giving them another 3000.00 for downpayment. After about 6 hours sitting there finally we go to finance manager Manny he was very apologetic for the misunderstanding for the salesman inexperience. The finance part was done throughly and professional with a handshake. He saved the day otherwise I would have took the money and went elsewhere.

This was the worst car buying experience I’ve had. Despite the fact that the car was one of the more expensive models they had on he lot, I was not treated well. I bought a used car from this dealership and have numerous complaints.
1. They didn’t know their product. Although the make of car was not Chevy, the salesman obviously did not do any additional work to learn about the car. He wasn’t able to answer any questions about the specifics of the car except for the most basic. He just told me what I wanted to hear.
2. Neither the interior nor the exterior of the car was washed prior to purchase.
3. They did not fill up the gas tank prior to purchase.
4. Less than one month after I bought the car, I discovered it had a broken component of the windshield wiper system — this component was broken at the time of the sale and they refused to fix it.
5. They kept me waiting for long periods of time throughout the day and were not efficient with my time. The whole purchase process took 4+hrs.
I would not recommend this dealership. Although most of my experience was with the salesman, the culture of a work place comes from the top down. The only conclusion I can draw is that this is a poorly managed business where customer experience and satisfaction is not considered important.
Avoid spending your money and wasting your time at this dealership.

A «NO GO» if it was here i would select it. I went here on word of mouth and because i work Downtown I fingered it would be easy to get services fixed downtown… WRONG! This place is horrible!!! They have no customer service in the service area (this review is only for the service area) i had to wait all day for news on what was wrong when i dropped it off at 7am only to be told at 3pm that it will need to be kept on Monday til 2pm at 2pm on Monday they have no clue, i had to speak with several people to try and get and any help even the manager was lack luster in helping, i know they must only stay afloat because of location… NEVER!!I will take a day off and get service elsewhere and its not cheap so you would think they would have better customer relations!@!

We needed a truck for our little league Tball team, and Robbie Knapp graciously let us borrow a very nice truck for the parade. The kids on the team laughed and smiled as we paraded down the streets of The Heights. I was surprised at the technology in the truck, and at how smoothe the truck drove. Now I want that truck!

This review is to warn those looking for reviews on the service department. I mistakenly looked at this page prior to taking my car in for service, thinking the reviews were ok. Later I discovered there is a separate Unilocal page for Service, and they have 13 ½ star reviews and only 2 positive ones. I can not comment on the other areas of operation at Knapp, but be aware they have one of the worst service centers anywhere. My review on the service department I’ll paste here as well:
Absolutely dreadful experience. All the way to the Service Department Manager, Paul, the service was absolutely disrespectful and horrible.
I brought my car there after flood damage, covered by insurance. Before taking my car in, I specifically asked them what would be done, and to help push my insurance to cover everything necessary, as it was a car with less than 18K miles and had been sitting in flood waters for a full week. They assured me they’d get my car back to like new and would work with me the whole way.
Fast forward to 5 months later and a total of 8 weeks spent in their shop, and literally all they did was vacuum and deodorize their carpet. The first time I picked up my car, when they told me it was ready, it literally still had water in the cupholders, and steam on the windows.
To begin, they have a policy there that the service person you’re originally assigned is the ONLY one there allowed to help you. I spent nearly 3 weeks after Christmas calling them, and repeatedly told I had to wait for my rep to get back in the office. Completely insane.
Eventually I reached out directly to the manager, who told me he was baffled at the lack of anything being done for my car and the poor communication, and said he’d help me take care of things. Well it was over a week before I heard from him again. At that point my car had been in their shop for 5 weeks total, and I was requesting need of a loaner car to cover myself. I had to contact again for the status, and again it was a few days before they said they had a car ready for me.
2 more weeks go by and not even a single update from anyone there. At this point I was very frustrated and emailed my rep and Paul to ask what was going on. 2 days later on a Friday and I get an email from Paul saying no work was approved and I had 24 hours to return their rental car. Are you kidding me? They had my car for 7 weeks at this point with ZERO contact about the status, and not only do they demand their rental back within the day, they didn’t even have the care to call and explain the situation. A simple demand. And no work performed.
I emailed back and explained my disappointment, frustration, and confusion as to why they seemed unwilling to work on my car and the lack of calling me even a single time about an update. No response for ANOTHER 7 days, until I received another email from Paul, here are his words:
«I’m sorry you are disappointed in our service… You will need to pick up your vehicle and return our loaner vehicle in the next 24 hours.»
At this point, I simply got my car and left. Absolutely a torturous experience and totally insane that even their manager cares so little.

A friend of mine purchased his vehicle here and had been really happy with them, so I looked into buying here. Ended up ordering the new Malibu and was very happy with the communication and service through the whole ordeal. David, my sales rep, was extremely polite and helpful and made periodic phone calls with updates. Out the door price was good and I ended up financing through Knapp — as they beat my pre-​approval. Overall, best car buying experience I’ve had thus far.

I took my car in today for a GM recall. In addition, the hazard switch was out so I had already bought a new switch to install myself earlier this month. Since I was taking it in for a recall I thought I would go ahead and have them install the switch as well. The service consultant told me that it would cost $ 125 for them to diagnose the problem and I would have to pay that even if I chose not to do the work. Hmm. Diagnose a problem that I have already said and shown them is broken. I said fine since it would save me some time.
Later in the day I get a call from the service consultant stating that the total repair would cost $ 344.00 for parts & labor to replace the switch. I reminded him that I had given him the part to replace and he quickly and totally arbitrarily reduced the price to $ 250.00. Mind you I paid $ 14.00 at Pep Boys for the part. Since I would already be charged the $ 125.00 for them to look at I was trapped into them doing the work. I am totally angry at myself for not doing the job myself and completely feel cheated by Knapp who charged me so much money for a diagnoses that I had given them and for a job that is reasonably about 20 min. worth of work at the most. I will never go here again and I will never buy a car from them ever!
DO NOT GO HERE. THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

This review is for service. I don’t Unilocal but I’m mad enough I finally took the plunge. I’m used to car people massaging the truth, but the outright lies of these guys were amazing. I made an appointment for some brake work and dropped my car off in the morning and waited around. They tell me it will be ready by a certain time and when I go back to ask if its ready they say it hasn’t gone in yet, but hang around because it’s about to. I go to lunch and call and they tell me it’s up and they’ll let me know. Call again, story changes and car hasn’t even been taken back. Finally, later in the afternoon, I’m told that I need all kinds of stuff done — front and rear brake work– well over a thousand bucks. I tell them to do what I brought it in for — pads on one end.
After wasting a day (with an 9 a.m. appointment) hanging around I finally get my car around 4 and, you guessed it, they did front and rear and wanted to charge me for it after I expressly told them not to. It was the last straw after being jerked around all day. I told them I wasn’t paying for work they were told not to do. The capper is that the service rep tells me, as my car is sitting there, they will have to take it back to the garage and put the old brake pads back on it while I wait, or I can pay for pads I didn’t want at a discounted price. I told them I’d wait. So not only are these guys lying thieves, they have no concern about pulling busted up old brake pads out of the trash and putting them on a car knowing the brakes won’t work properly if you do that. I asked the guy why they hadn’t told me the truth about the status all day and got the silent treatment. The manager wouldn’t make eye contract with me.
In fairness, my sales experience in 2007 was fine. So much so I wrote a letter to Chevy when this place was scheduled for closure and urged them to keep it open. But I would never, ever, ever think about having a car serviced here again.

Jesse was amazing. He allowed me to take home a car for the night to try it out. He had everything ready for me to purchase my new car the next day and even drove my rental car back to the rental place AFTER I had already purchased a car. Because of his helpfulness, I wanted to purchase my car through him, and I am happy with my new Trax.

I had a good experience with sales and financing, as well as receiving more than expected on my trade-​in. Bought a new Trax and perfect vehicle for living in this area — a small SUV. Thanks to Tony in sales for answering my questions.

Simple factory recall fix was supposed to take 30 minutes. I was stranded for 10.5 hours with no car because they couldn’t fix my key. They failed to explain to me why it would take so long. I had an appointment for 7am and they hadn’t even bothered looking at my car when I showed up at 4pm. I then waited in the waiting room for another 3 hours.

My review isn’t pertaining to the whole dealership but to the sales department (pre-​owned). We recently came in looking to buy a particular vehicle. The saleslady told us to come in, when we did she was unavailable. They put us in touch with another sales person. That said, he seemed to want to sell the car and got our hopes up that we could close on the deal today. Everything looked promising until we got into the finance department’s manager’s office. He was very unfriendly and rude (in our opinion) and came back with an over 11% rate and he refused to budge on that. Another dealership we spoke to about a similar vehicle came back with 5%, so Knapp’s rate was highly suspicious to us and we decided not to purchase a car from them. We will not be back to do business with Knapp in the future. I believe that if a dealership truly wants to sell you a car, then they will make it happen. This dealership even got confused on who was on the loan. When a comment was made about the numbers being too high and that we weren’t going to buy the car, the salesman said «what did you expect? «. That’s funny, because prior to that, it was all positive comments and he said we were going to like the deal. This was definitely a poor customer service experience from this dealership.

Every person took care of us and treated us like family at Knapp Chevrolet! Thanks for making our buying experience the best ever!!!

Let me start by saying this review may not reflect the whole dealership — only my limited dealings with one service rep.
I will also say I understand that when you are the only dealership in the middle of downtown, there is a certain premium that can be attained. I also understand that often a dealership is a little more than other places for routine maintenance because of the level of mechanic and usually, service, that you get. Historically, I have always been OK with this premium at other dealerships.
I brought my truck in because i heard some squeaking that sounded like brakes — pretty routine stuff. Also wanted a typical 35 point checkup and a sensor to be fixed (under warranty).
The service manager was generally condescending, vague, and tough to get ahold of. This is the kind of guy your warn your wife about when she takes the car in. He called back and said I needed a ‘brake job’. When asked which brakes or what he meant, he kept repeating — ‘brake job’. He said it would cost $ 900. I am no mechanic but i know a few things — that is really expensive. Also wanted to flush some fluid out of the engine, which had been done about 15k miles ago — for $ 325. Also seems high. I wasn’t told there would be a $ 125 ‘diagnostic fee’ when i dropped it off either. Simple fix to the engine fluid was adding some STP to my gas the next time I filled up.
That said — all i had done was the warranty work. I gave the bonus star because the ‘diagnostic fee’ was waived after I protested. I gave the low amount of stars because I wouldn’t wish working with this particular service rep on my worst enemy. I don’t know if he was having a bad day or just didn’t feel like dealing with me, but it left a really bad taste in my mouth.
I feel bad for the other service reps and mechanics because i have generally heard good things about them. Its worth noting that it seems like this place generally does not expect to do things same day.
One thing this place does have going for them (other than location) is «Two Tone» Tommie, the courtesy driver. Two Tone was a nice upbeat guy and was apologetic about the service i told him about. Didn’t sound like it was the first time he had heard this about that rep. If i come back (which i may do) i will certainly request one of the other reps. I will update my review once I have dealt with someone else…

Can’t put into words how much I appreciate this place and what they’ve done for me!!!
I got a letter saying I had a recall on my car. I had troubles with another Chevy place where they couldn’t see me until three months away and the guy I talked to was extremely rude.
So someone recommended this one. I called and they were so nice and told me that I actually had THREE recalls. They said it would be done in a day and worked with me on when I could drop it off.
Very professional, clean and nice!!!

Bought a new 2015 Tahoe LTZ here… Lesley and my team that included Robby Knapp/​THE OWNER do business on a handshake just like a family… this should be your first pick to buy a Chevrolet.

Talk about bad service, I left my 2500 he LTZ here all day and they didn’t even work on it. After it was promised to be ready for today. I came in at 7:04am and was told 4xs or more that it would be ready today. I’m never coming back here again! I spoke with a service rep Rick and told him I wanted the brakes fixed and wanted it working right. I preauthorized them to do any work to complete the job, well needles to say it was not done. Rick told me he sent the mail to his tech at 2:43pm and that his tech never received it. Keep in mind on going on a road trip and I’m being held back by the dealership since they have my truck. The manager then told me that he was not going to tie up a rack to wait for authorization to work on your truck. Wow are you serious! Ask before assuming!

No pressure. Very friendly. Gave me a great offer on the Volt I wanted without haggling. Gave me a very fair offer on my trade in as well. If you need a chevy talk with Clark.

I got a great deal on a 2015 Chevy Volt!!! I was able to broker the deal via email. No hassle and no wasted time. Went to pick up the car and I was immediately shown how to operate the car. Bluetooth and OnStar was set up before I left. Was in the dealership briefly for paperwork. I have purchased many vehicles and this by far was the best experience. Just ask for AL FLORES! He is an excellent salesperson. He really knows how to utilize the internet to make a sale and is extremely familiar with the Chevrolet Volt. I see many electric miles in my future!
